Cases are pretty essential for the average gadget user. It protects from the occasional carelessness that almost everybody is prone to when they are not focused on the care of their gadget. An iPad Mini is a small device, sometimes it can be thrown around and mistreated but in reality, it’s a $399 piece of hardware and we should take better care of it. One easy solution is to get a case and the folks over at Kujali have blessed me with the opportunity to review one of their cases. Now, you know as well as I do the oversaturation of iPad cases on the market these days so what’s so special about a Kujali case? In short, quality and nobility. Never thought you’d hear those words applied to an iPad Mini case, now did you?
The first thing I noticed about the Kujali case was the color, black and red, my absolute favorite color combination so instantly I was a fan. Beyond that first glance, the most prominent feature of the case is the feel. It feels amazing in the hand, a genuine leather touch, no loose ends, just a strong product that gives the impression of durability. Opening the case reveals the a removable silicone skin, which can double as a light case for a quick trip, a handstrap, which is incredibly useful for when you are sitting but cannot use a flat surface for the iPad Mini, and a couple of slots in the back of the front cover. Upon further inspection, these slots are for turning the case into a stand and I must say, the build quality and the addition of not one but two slots for different viewing angles instantly impressed me. Kujali has made a useful and truly premium product that I would recommend to anyone. But wait, there’s more.
There’s a bonus to buying a Kujali case. Kujali donates a mosquito net to a child in Africa for every sale they make. My experience with companies like this is that their intentions are good but the implementation of their product is pretty terrible and you end up with a useless product but at least have the knowledge that you have done some good in another part of the world. With Kujali, you get a genuinely excellent product and that act of kindness to someone you’ve never met. I don’t know how Kujali managed to pull off both the excellent product and the noble cause but every other company should take heed, this is a new standard for workmanship and kindness.
If you need an iPad Mini case or know someone who does, buy a Kujali case. It is one of the best cases you can get for an iPad Mini. The sheer quality of the case would be enough to recommend it but the coupled benefit of their donation to a cause in Africa is an added bonus for both you and the recipient of your gift. Style never felt so good!
