No-one ever started a revolution with old ideas. To make a real impression, you have to come up with something better than what’s already out there. In the technology world, this can be difficult. Many companies choose to recycle ideas from their competitors rather than spending time and money on innovation. But the folks behind AURORA have cut no corners. Their 360-degree speaker has the looks of a spaceship, and gesture controls from the future. It is truly a leap forward in audio technology.
– Tap or swipe anywhere on the rim to play, pause and skip tracks
– Center bowl provides a wireless charging dock for Qi devices
– Enjoy 360-degree sound and connect up to 15 AURORA speakers via Bluetooth
There was a time when only a full-blown sound system could provide satisfying audio quality. But in recent years, audio technology has come on in leaps and bounds. You can now experience the live-music feeling from a single portable speaker.
This means that designers can completely rethink how speakers are put together. Rather than merely blasting sound in one direction, a good speaker should fill the room with audial enjoyment. Likewise, you should be able to stream music straight from the web and sync multiple speakers around your home.

AURORA checks all the boxes, and offers plenty more besides. It’s the second speaker from award-winning designer, Adin Mumma, and it’s making waves in the music world.
First and foremost, AURORA makes beautiful sound. Inside the dish-shaped shell, four separate 52mm drivers work in harmony. Two work only on the high notes; the other pair concentrate on the mids and lows. At the bottom of the range, dual passive radiators add weight to pounding bass lines.
With a built-in amplifier, AURORA has ample power for your personal party. Along with Bluetooth streaming, you can play sounds from any older source via the 3.5mm jack port. Plus, the speaker connects to Spotify, Amazon Prime, Pandora, and iHeartRadio.
Furthermore, AURORA integrates with Amazon Alexa. This means you can control the speaker via the built-in mic. Likewise, you can ask Alexa to turn down your smart lights or add groceries to your shopping list.
Wireless All Over
The entire top surface of AURORA works as a Qi wireless charger. The dish shape provides the perfect resting spot for your phone. In addition, this cover can be replaced with one of many artistic designs.
Along with wireless power, this speaker is a master of cable-free connectivity. You get powerful dual-band WiFi, while low-energy Bluetooth allows up to 15 AURORA speakers to stay in sync.
“AURORA is a stunning sound system designed to complement your surroundings. Omnidirectional audio meets unique design for the home.”
“Many products on the market use only one speaker. The AURORA houses four 52mm speakers splitting the highs, mids and lows to produce the clearest music possible. ” — Muemma on Kickstarter
