This means that designers can completely rethink how speakers are put together. Rather than merely blasting sound in one direction, a good speaker should fill the room with audial enjoyment. Likewise, you should be able to stream music straight from the web and sync multiple speakers around your home.

AURORA checks all the boxes, and offers plenty more besides. It’s the second speaker from award-winning designer, Adin Mumma, and it’s making waves in the music world.

Sound Quality

First and foremost, AURORA makes beautiful sound. Inside the dish-shaped shell, four separate 52mm drivers work in harmony. Two work only on the high notes; the other pair concentrate on the mids and lows. At the bottom of the range, dual passive radiators add weight to pounding bass lines.

With a built-in amplifier, AURORA has ample power for your personal party. Along with Bluetooth streaming, you can play sounds from any older source via the 3.5mm jack port. Plus, the speaker connects to Spotify, Amazon Prime, Pandora, and iHeartRadio.

Clever Controls

You can pair your iOS and Android devices with AURORA to access touchscreen controls. However, you can also touch and swipe across the smooth rim of this speaker to play, pause and skip tracks.

Furthermore, AURORA integrates with Amazon Alexa. This means you can control the speaker via the built-in mic. Likewise, you can ask Alexa to turn down your smart lights or add groceries to your shopping list.

Wireless All Over

The entire top surface of AURORA works as a Qi wireless charger. The dish shape provides the perfect resting spot for your phone. In addition, this cover can be replaced with one of many artistic designs.

Along with wireless power, this speaker is a master of cable-free connectivity. You get powerful dual-band WiFi, while low-energy Bluetooth allows up to 15 AURORA speakers to stay in sync.
