  • What is liquid cooling? Just as a car radiator helps to cool the engine, liquid cooling in your gaming PC helps to cool the CPU and GPU.
  • Is it easy to upgrade to liquid cooling? Not always. You have to be careful, because leaks can cause major damage inside your gaming tower.
  • What is the simplest liquid cooling system to install? The EK-MLC Phoenix range is completely modular, and each component comes pre-filled.

Running the latest games is like an intense workout for your gaming PC. Both your CPU and your graphics card are likely to work up a sweat. Fans provide some relief, although they are noisy and bulky. You might also struggle to target specific components. In contrast, liquid cooling systems are much more efficient — but they can be very fiddly to work with.

The new range of EK-MLC Phoenix liquid cooling products makes it much easier to install a water-based solution. Each of these modular products comes ready to go, so you don’t need to build your own custom loop.

What is modular liquid cooling?

Until recently, liquid cooling systems were frighteningly complicated. Before you could even start work on your machine, you had to consider your water block, tubing, a pump, a reservoir, a radiator, fans, coolant, and much more besides.
