TABLUX is the most elegant tablet stand you’ll ever see

Practicality is usually the most prized attribute of any tablet stand. But TABLUX adds elegance into the mix, with a see-through design that makes the whole thing look like sculpted ice.

  • What are some essential iPad accessories? Check out our favorite chargers, cases and keyboards.
  • Why do I need a tablet stand? Being able to prop up your tablet is really convenient when you’re watching a movie or cooking from a digital recipe.
  • What is the best looking tablet stand? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but TABLUX certainly catches our attention.

Practical, durable, versatile — these are the kind of adjectives we normally associate with a good tablet stand. Given that accessories of this type serve a certain purpose, it’s understandable that we praise pragmatic attributes.

But why can’t a tablet stand be ornate, handsome, or even beautiful? The folks behind TABLUX believe it can. They have created an elegant tablet stand that doubles as a see-through nightstand lamp. It might be the prettiest device stand you’ve ever seen.

What is a tablet stand lamp?

Most tablet stands are merely dumb supports, designed to provide a secure resting place for your touchscreen device. But TABLUX offers something extra. This transparent stand has built-in LED lights which can be controlled by Wi-Fi.

This means you can use your tablet as a Spotify alarm clock, and read by the light of your TABLUX at bedtime.

TABLUX is both practical and pretty

Not that you have to use TABLUX with a tablet. This elegant stand also provides a good resting spot for your smartphone. You can even use it as an illuminated magazine rack, if you prefer.

Elegant stand

For a tablet stand — of all things — to be aesthetically pleasing, it’s essential for the designer to think about visuals from the start.

Made from glass, TABLUX looks the part

It would appear that team TABLUX thought very carefully about the look of their product. Rather than assembling a piece of technical equipment, they have delivered a touch of interior design.

TABLUX is perfect for your nightstand

TABLUX is made entirely from glass, save for the plastic base. You can choose between straight and notched edges, and the glass is available in several colors.

You can use TABLUX with your smartphone, or even books

Your device stands upright against a tilted wall of glass. At the bottom, a groove ensures that your tablet cannot slip away. This slot is wide enough for tablets in portrait mode, yet narrow enough for a smartphone or e-reader. The rock-steady design means you can happily tap away at your touchscreen device.

Choose your light with TABLUX

To turn on the lights, you simply connect TABLUX to your phone via Wi-Fi. The companion app, available on iOS and Android, lets you take control over the intensity and hue of the illumination.

There are many variants of TABLUX

TABLUX looks great in a domestic setting, However, the stand has also been designed with commercial interiors and branding in mind. For this reason, the stand is very easy to customize.

“Featuring a patent pending design, TABLUX provides endless lighting and light effect options. Moreover, you can switch on the stand using the companion app on your iOS or Android device.” — TABLUX on Kickstarter

What we like

It’s great to see a tablet accessory with a sense of style. What’s more, TABLUX helps you save space on your nightstand.

Future designs

The only downside of an all-glass design is that you cannot adjust the angle of the support. Perhaps this could be an addition for version two.
