MagDock is the one-stop charging shop for your devices

Wireless charging should be easy. But when you own wireless multiple devices, an undersized charging pad can be tricky to work with. MagDock solves this problem and provides portable power.

  • Which wireless chargers work with the new iPhone? Any charger that is Qi-compatible should be fine.
  • Is wireless charging better than regular charging? Depends on your needs. Charging pads are easier to use than fiddly connectors, but they are not always as fast.
  • What is the best wireless charger for Apple devices? If you have more than one device, the MagDock is a great option. This portable charger works with iPhones, Apple Watch, AirPods, and more.

The rise of wireless charging has been inexorable over the past couple of years. Every flagship phone can now be powered without a cable. The same applies for smartwatches, wireless earphones, and many other devices.

This revolution should have made charging easier. But most wireless charging pads are actually less convenient than using a wired connection. Instead of merely being tethered, your devices are tied to one spot.

MagDock makes the process more convenient. This portable charger lets you power all your mobile devices on the move, and use your phone while it’s charging.

Can you use your phone on a wireless charger?

Unlike the average charging pad, MagDock has a tilted top surface. This is where your phone goes. The angle means you can see the screen hunching over your desk.

Your phone seems to defy gravity when it’s perched on this pedestal. In fact, MagDock uses a combination of friction and magnets to keep your device in place. As a result, you can safely tap away on the screen without being in fear of dislodging your $1000 baby.

But the clever design choices don’t end there. MagDock also provides wireless charging for your Apple Watch and other devices.

To charge your smartwatch, you simply wrap it around the base of the MagDock. You can charge your AirPods or a second phone via the optional MagPad, which sits to the side of the main charger.

Solid on any surface

To keep this tower of tech stable, the MagDock comes with a nano gel base. This non-slip foot stops the charger moving, even on polished surfaces.

MagDock is also smart. Via the companion app, you can see the charging status of all your devices at a glance.

Portable power

Truly portable power

When you’re away from home, it’s still possible to use MagDock as your primary charger.

The device weighs only 380 grams (~13 ounces), and the Pro version has a built-in 7800mAh battery. This ensures you always have power, even when there’s no wall socket in sight.

Travel charger

At your hotel, MagDock can charge multiple devices from a single 30W USB PD power adapter. In essence, it replaces three separate chargers — a major upgrade when you’re traveling light.

MagDock works with iPhones, the Apple Watch and AirPods. You can also use it to charge recent Samsung Galaxy phones.

“The MagDock can charge up to three of your devices all at once. A convenient stand for all your devices that dispenses with the mess of cables and the limited USB sockets you may have near you.” — PITAKA on Kickstarter

Multipurpose charger

If you own multiple devices that can be charged wirelessly, MagDock makes perfect sense. It’s one of the most convenient wireless chargers we’ve seen.

The best option?

While MagDock is portable, it’s not the smallest charger. If you need something that will fit in your laptop bag, it might be worth looking elsewhere.
