Savvy Smartbag Features Latest Tech Gear For The Daily Grind
A reliable bag is a must for people who are always on the go. Reinventing the essential woman’s accessory is Ipnotica LLC, a California-based company that specializes in fashionable wearables. The group recently unveiled a modern handbag, packed with the latest tech-friendly features to help you get through a busy week.
With the Smartbag, you can walk out of the house with confidence, knowing that everything you need is always within arm’s reach!
What’s in the bag?
Internal LED lights: No more feeling your way around dark pockets and spaces. You can change the color of the lights through the app.
Power bank: 5200 mAh capacity, capable of fully charging your smartphone up to 2-3 times via USB. Perfect for those long days out of the office.
GPS: Locate your bag using the smartphone app.
SOS button: Alert your loved ones instantly via SMS through the Smartbutton. You can pre-program the message and save up to five contacts.
The Smartbutton is the main switch for all of these features. Each one has its own unique tapping sequence for activation. To verify the authenticity of the bag, the developers installed an NFC chip that owners can scan for detailed information about their purchase.
Ordering Information
The company is currently accepting pre-orders for the Smartbag on Kickstarter. Priced at $109 (retail value $199), the Super Early Bird Special package is a starter kit that lets you convert an existing bag into a smart one. There are also discounted tiers available for a woman’s handbag (tote, shopper or baguette) and a messenger bag version.
Choosing the stand-alone bag options will allow you to customize your own bag using a robust online builder. All of the pieces are made out of quality leather, composed of full grain, tumbled, calfskin leather trim- resulting in an extremely sturdy, lightweight bag.
Ipnotica is a small, wellknit team which has been working in the area of wearable technology. Cofounders Andrea Sallese and Suzanne Schumacher have both worked in digital and technology fields for years but joined forces to form Ipnotica LLC in 2014.
