Udacity to provide free programming classes

The education company is providing 100,000 free classes to fulfill the Pledge to American Workers. These introductory training classes will be made available to 20,000 people annually. While there aren't any prerequisites, the scholarship is primarily open to those with low incomes.

NASA recreates Apollo 11 launch on your phone

Released by USA TODAY, the augmented-reality app 321 Launch lets you relive the historic event. Created to mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, this interactive app provides educational material. You can access the launch simulator starting July 16th.

iRobot purchases Root Robotics

The company that created Roomba is now entering the world of education. With its acquisition of Root Robotics, iRobot now has ownership over the two-wheeled coding robot. This robot is used in education to teach students three types of code language.

Microsoft begins AI training program

The company announced it will start certifying employees on AI-related skills. Working with General Assembly, an education provider, Microsoft intends to train at least 15,000 people in the next three years. The intent is to increase the amount of AI experts in the workforce.
