Intel develops AI cloud chip

Unveiling two new Nervana Neural Network Processors, both Intel chips are made exclusively for AI in the cloud. The NNT-T is for scalable AI training while the NNP-I is for more intense tasks. According to Intel, the chips will allow them to move from the “conversion of data into information toward the transformation of information into knowledge.”

Leak says Apple AR/VR headset due in 2021

Bloomberg states a leak has revealed Apple has plans for an AR/VR headset in 2021 or 2022, an iPad Pro in 2020, and AR glasses in 2023. Most notably, the iPad Pro will feature new technology such as a 3D sensor system. This will let users “create three-dimensional reconstructions of rooms, objects and people.”

Weather Channel app adds Flu Insights

With help from IBM's Watson, the iOS and Android app provide you with a 15-day flu forecast. If you choose, you can even get pop-up notifications when flu season begins or it learns of an outbreak. This could potentially help lessen the spread of the virus.

Elon Musk shares Tesla truck reveal

Through a tweet, the Tesla CEO announced that the unveiling date for the Cybertruck will be November 21. It will take place near the SpaceX rocket factory. Musk has previously stated that the Cybertruck “will meet or exceed an F-150.”
