Carriers over-promised 5G coverage

In a report, it was determined that 62% of the 5G network tests of T-Mobile, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular did not meet the minimum download requirement. The FCC won’t be punishing the carriers, though they have replaced the $4.5 billion towards the Mobility Fund II 4G LTE plan with a $9 billion to a 5G deployment fund.
