Frames are sunglasses with a unique flair - out of the box you can listen to music privately, answer calls, and access a smart assistant. Future updates will incorporate augmented reality apps. They’ll be available for purchase in January and come in a round (Rondo) or square (Alto) style.

The Snapdragon 855 is set to be the chip in virtually every Android smartphone in 2019. Offering super-fast 5G, it will support multi-gigabit download speeds.

Like the Apple A12 bionic and the Huawei Kirin 980, the 855 brings Qualcomm down to a 7nm process for manufacturing. As a result, this means more transistors per chip which equals faster performance.

Apple won’t offer 5G in 2019

Although 5G will be rolling out throughout 2019, Apple won’t be a part of the action until 2020. Playing it safe now may allow for better devices in the future, but they could lose out on a big part of the 5G market.
