Hi,
Does the closure mechanism have poka-yoke design to avoid wrong way folding?
Thanks

Hi Samuel, Yes you can. At any time during the campaign you can manage your pledge, change your reward et add more HandyHNGR (through your personal account). Once the campaign has ended, a pre-order website will be available so you still can pre-order the product.
Thanks for your support and for reaching out Samuel. Alexandra

Can we add on and pay later after the campaign end with the survey?

Hi Brian ! We have made many stress tests and especially with heavy clothes like winter coat (its weight is about 3 pounds / 1.36kg). Those tests include static tests during ten days and many dynamic tests (opening/closing/hanging/etc.). After that, hangers did not show any signs of weakness.
And those are prototypes that we tested, the final product will be even more robust. Jean-Baptiste, Mechanical designer on this project.

I apologize for the lack of clarity. How much weight can one hanger hold?
Alexandra El Hachem
Review from Kickstarter
Hi Bryan, I am not sure that I really understand your question.
To be more specific :
3 HandyHNGR weigh 390g (13,75 oz) which cost exactly $10.7 to ship.
We are shipping from France so it is an international shipment.
I hope this answer your question. Thanks again ;) Alexandra

What is the weight limit?

Review from Kickstarter
Hi Bryan, Yes indeed we are currently looking for other shipping options. But for now we didn't manage to get lower prices. 3 HandyHNGR weigh 390g so costs are for international packages under 500g.
We know that it impacts the global price of the pledge considering that the product is itself not very expensive. Thanks for your support and for reaching out ! Alexandra

I've backed, but the cost to ship to the US seems high. Are you investigating other, less expensive shipping options?

I never knew it’s weight but love the design! Hopefully more will and you’ll get funded,I may bump up a level & give some to family for trips etc. Our Royal Mail isn’t cheap either for heavier bits.
Thanks for the reply & good luck :)

Hi Tim Rezgalla ! Thank you very much for your support on our project! We are aware that delivery charges are a bit high. These are real costs.
A HandyHNGR weighs 130g and 3 HandyHNGR 390 g and postage costs depend on the weight. We ship from France so the parcel shipping is international.
I totally agree with you, it impacts the backers. Maybe it impacts even more because the product is not very expensive.
Thanks for reaching out!
Have a nice day :) Alexandra

Why’s the shipping so high? It’s more than the hanger itself,& surely 3 costs the same as one to post? With that price it adds up to your retail or more. Can’t you get shipping costs down,it’ll put backers off paying more for a service that may fail to deliver (things get lost)...
Good luck otherwise :)

@Agu Chen
Hello Agu Chen,

I am the mechanical designer on this project.
Thanks a lot for your support on our project ! The material we use is ABS. We have made many stress tests and especially with heavy clothes like winter coat (its weight is about 3 pounds / 1.36kg). Those tests include static tests during ten days and many dynamic tests (opening/closing/hanging/etc.). After that, hangers did not show any signs of weakness especially the closure mechanism.

Have a good day ;)

Hi,
I've backed other hanger project on KS, the result was bad: the plastic material is not strong enough to hang winter coat and lead to distortion, the closure mechanism will get broken if you use in the wrong way.
Therefore, I want to be know: what material do you use? any stress test? is the closure mechanism safe and secure? Thanks
