Choice Cloverback Playing Cards

Editor's Rating
4.7?
Discovered on 2017-11-20

Add a vintage touch your card game with Choice Cloverback Playing Cards. Featuring a classic throwback design, the Choice Cloverback Playing Cards are traditional looking but with a twist. Using vintage Arrco faces, the Choice Cloverback cards are also ideal for magicians, collectors, and cardists. The durable and soft cards are printed on thin stock paper from the US Playing Card Company. In fact, the Choice Cloverback cards feel broken-in right out of the box. Similarly, all of the cards come in a classic tuck box. Furthermore, the Choice Cloverback cards include 3 Jokers featuring the Choice Clover logo, along with a custom Ace of Spades. Each deck also contains a blank-faced card that is ideal for use as a cut card during games or magic tricks. Finally, the Choice Cloverback Playing Cards are available in Classic Red and Casino Brown.

@VJose32 - Wow, you're the first person to notice or mention the fact that it says a blank facer and not a double backer. Please chalk that up to human error on my part, my apologies. I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it, I had to go back and check when I read your comment. The Red and Brown decks were always intended to include 3 Jokers and a Double Backer, the same bonus cards that were included with the Blue Choice. Since these are a "family" of decks, we wanted those cards to match up. My apologies for the mixup, but the final product is what was always intended. Thanks! Kevin

Yes USPC printing decks with uneven borders is always an issue but they seem to have greatly improved upon that for the most part lately.

What happened to each deck with come with a blank card?

@Jesper - PM received and responded. :) Brint - USPCC can have what they deem to be an acceptable amount of variance in the centering of the die cut, but sometimes a deck can slip past with uneven borders. If you think you received one that is unusually off-center just shoot us a message. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your comments and support! @Silas - Yes, the Casino Brown decks will be numbered individually out of 1000. The Classic Red decks will not have a sticker seal and will not be numbered.

@jeremy donahoo I totally agree. It is kinda hard to tell that this is such a significant deck to back

You should put Penguin Magic’s logo on the main picture of the cards so when someone is scrolling through they know this is a penguin deck. Maybe get more backers. Instead of it just being written small below the picture.
Just a suggestion

@Acar Altinsel, sorry your down to 2 dozen. The site now says 'Out of Stock' on all 3 deck amounts. @Penguin Magic, Glad the Brown Seal will be numbered if reached. A backer vote on Red Seals if hit sounds fair to me. Thanks!

I just selected the $9 early-bird BROWN deck. Pledged $16 to add a RED deck. My total shows $16 pledge + $2 shipping ($18 total). I just want to confirm that I've done this correctly to receive the 2 decks. Thank you!

@Richard, wow, that was a mistake. Someone from the warehouse must have accidentally added my personal supply to the site, not realizing. Now I only have 2 dozen left! I'm glad you got a pack.

@Richard - I think we must have had a tiny amount of stock that had been held for missing/damaged packages that were just put back up on the site. I’m sure there are very few and the probably won’t last long! As far as seals, that seems to be a love it or hate it thing. I guess if we hit that stretch goal, we can put it up to a backer vote as to whether or not the Red decks get seals. If the Brown Seal goal is met we will do them individually numbered. Thanks!

@akier,
Check out penguinmagic.com, they do have the Blue Choice decks. I ordered one once I saw this KS preview from their Honeybee V2 update. @Penguin Magic,
Any chance you can skip the red deck seal if stretch is met? I'm fine if you number the Brown one but like how the Blue deck has no seal. Thanks for any thoughts on it.

@akicer - We'd love to make some blue decks available, but they have unfortunately been sold out for nearly a year so we don't have any inventory we could add! @Randall - Overall, yes, that is correct, with the exception that the shipping amount is not included in your figures. I've sent you a direct message to cover your particular pledge. Thanks! -Kevin

Want to ensure I did this right, Pledged under 12 Casino Brown Decks for $120 but also want 12 Red, so added $84 to my pledge for a total of $204. Is that right?

Edit to my previous comment - I'd not checked and seen that Stein-Ove had an International pledge. For anyone curious about add-ons, the overall process is the same, but the numbers are a little different between US and International. @Stein-Ove, I've sent you a direct message to clarify your specific situation! :)

Thanks to everyone for your support! It's amazing to see the funding this far along just 5 hours into the campaign! Stein-Ove: Yes, you can pledge for 2 Red and 1 Brown by having your Red/Brown Pair pledge, and then adding an additional $7 for the 2nd Red deck. So your total pledge would be $24. You'll be able to specify what the extra $7 is for during the survey process through BackerKit after the campaign. Thanks! -Kevin
