@The House We have studied a lot in capsule design and we have filed the patent in our capsule design to improve the quality of coffee output, including a good crema and the coffee. Capsulier is a module design product, you can disassemble it (e.g. grinder, ground coffee container, tray, etc.) and clean easily. Thank you!

I have found that some of the reusable capsules with reusable lids tend to not build up the pressure needed to make a good strong coffee with good crema (due to the holes on the lid) in a Nespresso machine. I wish I was at CES to test the Capsulier machine, but does your capsules have that problem? Also, are you able to / how are you able to clean the machine if you switch coffees or try to make something else such as tea?

@Austin Zang Thanks for your comment. Since we are a startup company, we do not have a good logistics partner to support us. We are now using DHL, FedEx, etc. That’s why the shipping cost is quite high, but we want to lower your shipping cost, Capsulier would like to support part of the shipping cost. Otherwise, all backers need to pay much more than the current cost. We keep seeking for the logistics partner. Once we confirm the partner, we can reduce the shipping cost later. @Ronan Thanks for your interest. Capsulier has a special design capsule (patent pending technology), called CAPSI. CAPSI is not a screwed design, it uses O-ring and inserted by force to fix the capsule lid. Capsulier lets you store 8 pieces of empty CAPSI in the machine and it makes 8 pieces of capsules at once. We show the process for users to put coffee beans, capsule cup, and lid, then press the button to make capsule in few minutes. From the video, the capsule has been made and found in the drawer is the same capsule which we put into Capsulier machine, and the whole process is a real process which we also demonstrate many times at CES 2018. Looking at the videos on YouTube I don’t see the movement of the capsule from the beginning to the end. The capsule in the drawer doesn’t look like the one you insert at the beginning of the video.
Is the top of the capsule screwed or just inserted by force and holding thanks to an O-ring seal ? From the video it is not screwed since you pull it out with the thumb.

You can set the grind size by yourself or we have a recommendation of grind size settings for you to make capsule easily. We have many tests in the development stage and found out the way of capsule design and machine settings (grind size, grind speed, volume) to make a high quality of coffee. Thank you!

Hi, thank you for your fast answer. One more question.What is the particle size of your finest grind setting in microns? The main problem with alternative refillable coffee capsules is that you have to grind quite fine and consistently. Otherwise the water just flushes through the coffee an you will get some watery sour black dishwater.

Hello there, just discovered you project that I really like. However there is one thing that I do not understand: I’ve understood that capsi are reusable capsules but what about their lid? Where do I find these? Are they included with each Capsi? Are they reusable?
Other than that I was wondering what is the lifetime of a capsi? What are they made of?
