This is going to be a great product I'm excited to be a part of this and I hope the rest of you take a look at it as well I can definitely help you out carrying your packages on and off the road and the beaten path as well as having tactical and or military applications and would be great for all scouting projects. All the Preppers out there you couldn't ask for a better product to take your gear to a location of safety that you have chosen this is lightweight and configurable.

Hi Jan, thank you for your very important question. If you don't mind, I will answer it in my next update tonight, so all backers can see it instantly. I am sure all of them would ask similar question.
Jan Hjørdie
Hey Igor,
Do you think it's possible to get the delivery earlier than expected ? End of May or start June ?
So it possible to use it on my Camino trip next year Thanks
Jan

Do I have to take the heavy duty one ? The heaviest my bag would be 10-12 KG, so can I take a lighter one The reason I say is because there may that be lots of stairs like hundreds at a time which carrying the hipster will be a mega pain carrying the heavy one ?
Igor Koshutin
Thank you! I hope you will be able to share your experience with us! Igor

Some people also believe it is a bag or it comes with a bag. We created animation that clarify this issue: https://youtu.be/UCU6dToipuY

Oh I see I have to supply my own bag Ahhhh I thought it came with a bag, I see now Would you ship to England or just to USA ?
Igor Koshutin
Hello, I am sorry to hear that you withdrew your pledge, though September looks very doable in our schedule. To make sure that you don't overpay for shipping, we will request your shipping information after you complete your order. We guarantee that the shipping cost to your location will be lower than the normal UPS, FEDEX, and USPS rates. Why? The larger the volume of total orders the lower the overall shipping cost that we will be able to negotiate. As I wrote in description and hipstar.net FAQ section, HipStar is not heavy at all. Even a “heavy-duty” prototype's frame weighs approx. 10 lbs. We cannot count the weight of the wheels because in the prototype we used regular 2.5 lbs. high-capacity wheels to prove a concept. Furthermore, the product design stage will result in approx. 50% decrease in weight by utilizing new materials and wheels. Total weight of the heavy-duty model with wheels will weigh no more than 7-8 lbs. I am not sure if I understood your question about cubic space. Please note that HipStar is NOT a bag, but it is a CART. So, cubic space equals the size of your bag (luggage). HipStar is a "bag-agnostic" device, in other words you can use any bag or backpack of any size. I hope it helps. Igor

Also how many litres of cubic space inside it ?

Now Igor I know September can’t be guaranteed as things get delayed BUT what are the chances as I live in England so I have to have this shipped to me from USA to UK how heavy will this be as if the shipping is too much then I will have to cancel. Also I will be getting a friend to ship but if it costs $50 U.S then I assume packaging will be Heavy so hue heavy with packaging ? Thank you
Igor Koshutin
Oh, yes! With no problem. We will be working on the feature that will help you to install custom wheels depending on terrain. We have lots of requests from the hunters who want to go over falling trees. With existing prototype on video and gallery you can go over humps easily. Note that you can use it as a backpack if you need to go over large obstacles for a short time. Thank you for your support! Igor

This is a very important question I am do a religious pilgrimage next September when I travel around 750 Miles by foot in about 40 days Now I want to know can they go over humps and as I will walk up the steps as the bag will save my energy to pull it
Igor Koshutin
That is a plan!
Thomas
Thanks! Would be wonderful if the same axle could accommodate the ‘Super heavy duty’ wheels and replacement could be purchased easily from any local DIY. Cheers!
Igor Koshutin
Thank you!!! We are also excited to get it done and start testing in the extreme cold weather conditions!

Congratulations on getting your Kickstarter kickoff Igor. I'm extremely excited about the heavy duty version and I can't wait to test it out here above the Arctic Circle.
Igor Koshutin
Hi Thomas, thank you for your question. As we stated, the HipStar is in the prototype stage. It will be available in three versions: Light, Medium, and Heavy-duty. Current prototype would fall between heavy and mid duty versions. It can easily hold up to 80 lbs (or even more) of gear with only 6-8 lbs. of force in cart mode. We will start product design with heavy-duty version. It can be used by military or heavy hikers, hunters, or other off-the-grid guys. This group is used to carry large heavy backpacks (50-60 lbs.) If the user decides to convert the HipStar to backpack mode, the weight limit might vary depending on how much the user is willing and capable to carry on their back. Basically, any cart’s capacity is all about wheels’ capacity. Strong wheels are heavier. We will consider a “super-heavy-duty” version with custom wheels. We have a few requests from hunters who needs to carry trophies, and they asked whether it would be possible to use large wheels to go over large obstacles (trees, etc). If the hunters are not planning to use HipStar in a backpack mode at all, we will offer a special adapter for an axle (to be developed), so they will be able to install custom wheels of any size, such as bike wheels. We’ll get back to this discussion later. HipStar product will have warranty. If your purchase has a manufacturing defect; we will repair or replace the defective part at no additional cost to you. Simply email a photo and a brief description of the defect and we will get back to you right away. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a manufacturing defect or wear and tear, but we believe in building a culture of mutual trust and respect – we’ve got your back.
Thomas
What is the maximum tested load it can carry and is there a warranty?
Bert
Thanks for your answer. Would appreciate to know how much would cost delivering a duo package to France (Paris) then ;-)
Igor Koshutin
Yes Bert! We will work with shipping companies on best shipping costs to EU.
Bert
Any chance to get it in France?
