Hi John,
I did not receive the email on color choice and shipping address either. Would appreciate if you can resend it. Thanks.
John Tarantino
Review from Kickstarter
@Qiao Tsien yes there was, it was sent out through our partner BackerKit. If you can't find the email though no worries at all, we can have it re-sent

Was there an email sent out for color selection and address for shipping? I'm not sure if I missed it.

John - I backed 2 watches, is there a way to split the shipping between two addresses?

I know there are a lot of permutations, but it would be great to see each strap paired with each face option. I’m personally getting the white & blue, and would love to get both a dressier strap and something with a bit more personality, but don’t know how everything pairs.

John, Thanks for the update. Super excited about the Kerrison! Don’t forget that some of us would like the option to purchase additional straps with the survey.
Thanks,
Pierre

How can I confirm my order is the correct size? I'm pretty sure I ordered the 42mm.

Congrats, John and team! Very excited for these.

I was quite glad, when the 38mm version was announced. I never understood why wristwatches needed to get bigger and bigger.
Now after the first pictures, I'm not so sure. The 42mm version seems to have the more balanced, harmonious proportions. The smaller one looks slightly compact, stout.
Maybe more pictures (wristshots) could help.

@Kartikeya Jha Hello, we can do engravings on the sapphire case back and I've done them before by request, but they add a significant expense and it makes things a little harder logistically. I'll think about pricing as an add-on though for people who are interested in this.

@Scott Corless Absolutely, as long as you return the watch in original condition (no scratches, so that it can be resold) we're happy to exchange it if you decide you'd like the other size

Review from Kickstarter
I'm torn between the 38mm and 42mm version. If I try one and it doesn't seem to fit me will I be able to exchange it for the other size? Thanks for the chance to own a very cool and unique watch!

Review from Kickstarter
@John, thank you for the details. If doing things with the rotor affects its balance or so, can at least the caseback be made a limited edition just for the Kickstarter campaign? That way the backers will have some remembrance that they helped bring the Kerrison to life. Perhaps a limited edition engraving on the caseback? Just bringing up ideas for consideration.

Hi all thank you for your answers :) which dial do you think will look good on bracelet?
John Tarantino
Review from Kickstarter
@Vy Nguyen I personally think the marine works best, but the black is another interesting color that matches well. Espresso also. I'd avoid the other colors, but the white/silver dial is versatile enough that you could pull off a bunch of different leather colors with it
John Tarantino
Review from Kickstarter
@Kartikeya Jha I'm going to stick with 120 x 80 mm, this is what I've used before and I think works best for the widest range of wrist sizes. There are 8 holes on the strap so this works well for everyone unless they have a very small or very large wrist (and even those are usually covered by the first and last strap hole). I understand the concern but I've had very few comments on this since we started using this size. Re: the rotor, I think the current design fits the watch as it's a clean and minimal modification of what Miyota delivers (which involves removing the Miyota text and replacing it with our own). If the rotor were to be hollowed out, that would effect the weight of the rotor which could throw the movement out of balance.

@Chris Chang Thanks! I'll try to find some pictures that better show the differences in dial finishing. It's hard to capture in photos though, and the difference is a lot more noticeable in person. Quick summary is that matte finish is stark and non-reflective, sunburst is shiny and mildly reflective, and the enamel has a mild glossy finish.

Review from Kickstarter
In addition to the request for a shorter strap option, may I take the liberty to request if the caseback can be refined a little more? Somehow feels like it lags a bit behind the sophistication of the dial and lugs etc.
Perhaps a hollowed/more designed rotor plate at the very least instead of the solid, slightly plain looking one? Though the brushing on the rotor looks pretty nice.

Just wondering whether there will be any more pictures of both sizes, showcasing the distinct attributes in the dial finishings between the different colorways? Great work so far and looking forward to see the project work towards the final product!

@Vy I feel the marine strap (shown on campaign pictures) looks good on it. The chestnut/cognac or espresso can also go well with it depending on the shoes/other leather you're wearing. Cheers!

Guys which strap color looks good on the white+silver dial?

Regarding the lume: thank you very much for deciding not to add it. I like the design of the watch quite a bit as is, and I was rather horrified at the prospect.
Kartikeya Jha
Review from Kickstarter
Thanks for your update and honest approach toward incorporating (or not) the lume. Well received. Would you instead consider offering a shorter strap (either of the two sizes you suggested earlier: 115*75 or 110*70)? May fit us better for those with thinner wrists and going for the 38 mm version. Hope that wouldn't affect the timeline significantly. Any thoughts?

@Vy Nguyen Hi, I'll be posting the new dimensions on the campaign page later today
John Tarantino

@Kartikeya Jha Yes I'll be posting the dimensions of the 38 mm version later today on the page. I'll check on photos in more natural light too. Please note however that all existing photos are actual photos and not renderings.

@Tyler Haas Absolutely, after the campaign ends we'll be reaching out with surveys and I'll include an option to buy additional straps. Straps retail for $65 on our website but I'll think about a reduced price for Kickstarter backers.

Any word on last minute stretch goals, lume, and pricing for additional straps?

Lug-to-lug: 47 mm
Thickness: 10.8 mm
Lug width: 20 mm Perhaps John will update the campaign page also soon.

Hi please update the dimensions of 38mm version please
Kartikeya Jha
Review from Kickstarter
John, is it possible to post some real-life (natural light) pictures of the models, if you have any prototypes available? Would provide a better picture of how they look in actual experience and some perspective to the colors in addition to the computer renderings.
Kartikeya Jha
Review from Kickstarter
I think it would be good to make it clearer that the 38 mm version is available now on the campaign page. Although we have pictures, the "dimensions" section down on the page still only shows dimensions for the 42 mm version. May be confusing for new comers who haven't seen the earlier updates.

Review from Kickstarter
I'm with everyone regarding the addition of Lume, it would be cool, but only if it doesn't affect the look of the watch. If there would be any other stretch goal I believe it should be something that doesn't affect the production of the watch.
Tyler Haas
Review from Kickstarter
@John Tarantino Not sure how nylon would look on this -- it's a bit too classic of a design to use such a modern strap, IMHO. Distressed-looking leather or suede, though.... I'd be down. Might there be an option to purchase extra straps? Love the chance to change the look of a watch with a simple change.
Bryant Patrick
Review from Kickstarter
I'm definitely not enthused about lume either, but if it meets your design requirements it's not a deal breaker by any means.
Kartikeya Jha
Review from Kickstarter
I agree. If the inclusion of lume chips away from the nice aesthetics of the watch, I'd avoid it. However, if it can be included in a subtle way it'd likely up the versatility. As an inspiration for example, see the use of lume on Seiko 5 SNKL23 (https://www.longislandwatch.com/Seiko_SNKL23_Watch_p/SNKL23.HTM). The lume, if powerful, can work even in small dosage. And as you can see on the above watch, it doesn't take away from the overall dressy vibe of the watch. Just a thought.

@Evan Lambert Thanks for your pledge! Once the campaign ends, we'll follow up with you and you can select the size, color, and strap color.

Review from Kickstarter
@Ben Pearson I absolutely get what you're saying, I've been going back and forth with my supplier quite a bit on this issue since I don't want to include lume if it would change the appearance in any way in daylight. I'm treading very carefully on this one since lume wasn't part of the original specs.

Hi - sorry might be a stupid question but this is the first time I've pledged a watch on Kickstarter. Will I be prompted at some point to make selections on size/strap/etc? Thanks.
Ben Pearson
Review from Kickstarter
@John For what it's worth, may I speak out against lume. I find it often spoils the aesthetic of a watch that has a dressier feel like the Kerrison does. I'd urge you to leave it out unless it means the day time look of the watch is utterly unchanged. Lume is nice in for a tool watch or a diver or what have you, but for this it's unnecessary and even potentially an eyesore. Just my two cents.

@Bryant I think the thickness is the same (10.8 mm) as the 42 mm model and the lug-to-lug is 47 mm. Are there any other dimensions you're looking for?

@Pierre McLean Thanks! I've always done standard release straps that are easy to swap out with a spring bar tool since my supplier had advised me against quick release in the past (since it can sometimes weaken the strap over time). You can absolutely purchase additional straps after the campaign ends. They're normally $65, but I'll work out a special deal for backers of this campaign.
