my watches lost connection with my iPhone - just stopped seeing the clock by Bluetooth:(
@Christoph Lange. We conducted electrical tests again and could confirm that the battery can last for 6 to 8 months. Do you switch off Bluetooth on Watch when not using it?
To Switch Bluetooth ON/OFF on your watch, push the crown for 3 seconds. You just need to enable Bluetooth when sync data to the phone.
@BettinaNa, @CKtang. For Android phone user, please make sure that location service (GPS) is enabled on your phone otherwise your watch will not been seen. This is a requirement from Google.
You can also try to RESET your watch by pressing the crown for more than 10 seconds.
My Nowa watch is experiencing the same issue. Can I know if you receive any reply from Nowa Team.
I am an early backer and frequent traveler. I am with the others, I loved the watch and the concept, it used to work in the beginning, however when switching time zones, it sometimes re-set the time to the old time zone after a couple of hours, so I had to re-adjust the time manually connecting to the app.
But now my watch stopped completely functioning! The hands stopped running, so I had the battery replaced at a shop, but my watch does not re-connect to the app and the hands did not re-start running even with the new battery. When pressing the bluetooth button, I see the watch blinking, but it does not show up in the app, no matter how many times I try! So it is pretty much useless now. Any help would be appreciated! Is there any chance I can get the defective watch replaced?

Initially I really loved my watch and I had quite a bunch of people asking me about this great looking watch. But by now I'm really, really annoyed. I'm on the third battery in something like 8 months, trying to sync data is a hit and miss (mostly miss, s the wath constantly loses its paring...), app hasn't evolved for months... I'm on the verge of wanting to get my money back...

@creator No offense, but that’s a pretty crappy response. I didn’t sync data more than 1-2 times a week and yet here we are. Dead after barely making it to four months.
@Adam McGready. The battery life depends on how often you connect your watch. We recommend to sync data one or tw times a week. @Robert Parker. Thanks for your honest feedback. If your watch is defective, send us an email to, we will exchange for free. Kindly note that we are working on a new app that will improve connectivity. @Marco. The Nowa watch is using a standard CR2025 e-cell that can be easily changed in a watch shop. The battery can last between 6 to 8 months in normal conditions of use. Pls replace your battery. If the watch can not stand the specified lifestyle, we will replace it.
Same here. My battery is also already dead. The app is worthless. The concept was promising, but the watch I received is not a smart watch, but a simple watch that isn’t even capable showing the right time. I’m very disappointed in the product, the app development and also in the way the creator communications.

I’m an early backer, a frequent traveler, and was very excited for this concept to come to life. Today, I’ve thrown in the towel; after four months of a watch that never synced to time changes, never tracked activity in a meaningful way (if at all - most times it would never sync even after an ‘app update’), never consistently showed the correct time, never synced without waiting 2-3 minutes, and never even lasted half of the eight months promised by the battery life - it’s time to admit this is faulty hardware and software. It’s a great idea, but sadly the @creator released this too soon, with too little real-world testing. For the past four months, I’ve used a dumb-watch that could only be set (and reset, and reset, and reset) using an app. No thanks. There are many other effective competitors on the market now, and it’s time to write this one off. Take the negative comments and concerns in this thread as a warning - I wish it could have worked out!

@creator went to put on my watch today and the battery is already dead. Really disappointing that the coin cell didn’t even last six months.
@ Christina. Great to hear that you love your watch. Don't hesitate to share a review on our Facebook page! :) @Adam. Our module is working on a sigle CR2025 e-cell. The battery is not big enough to allow continuous sync with the phone. @Tong. If the hands stop spinning, you may need to replace the battery. You can go in any standard watch shop. It should cost you about 10$ @HMC. Thank for helping and supporting us. Indeed, if any backer has an issue with his watch, we will replace it or refund (if we are out of stock).
@tong meng khong -good luck mine is also shot. After back/forth w/NOWA & trying their recommendation which was to change the battery, but after changing the battery (twice) it still doesn't work. So I've been instructed to return it & I'm in the process of shipping it back to Paris, they will refund me since they don't have my model they only have 3 models left (i.e., Blue Matter, Bateau Ivre & Trilling). So if you have one of these you s/be able to get a replacement.

Hi, I have a problem with one of the two watches I ordered. After adjusting the time, it seems to be lagging behind and a week after adjustment is several minutes behind the right time. Is this a known issue and can it be fixed?

@Abe O'Farrell. We tested the iOS update on our side and it works fine. Could you restart your phone, forget the device Nowa in the bluetooth setting then try again. @Adam McGready. Yes we are using Bluetooth Low Energy. In normal conditions of use (few sync a week), the watch can last for 8 months. But this is all theoretical. Now we need to get feedback from our backers.

As others have mentioned, since the iOS update the watch doesn’t connect anymore.
@Adam. You can order a Classic Black Strap on our website. It is difficult to enable data synch in Background as it will drain the battery life. We don't suggest to get the watch always connected to the phone. Your suggestion is great but we had to compromise to get this tinny smart watch. @Daniel. @Tong meng Khong. We are sending you a private email. We will support you to connect your watch. @Kelvin Ng. We sent you a private email to assist you. Every case is specific so it's impossible to reply you there. Please note that our watches are 1 year warranty. We are replacing any defective watch. We just updated the iOS app on the App store, we are now working on the Android app.

@Creator Hello NOWA Team, please check and reply your email regarding the watch issue, the watch stopped working 3 weeks ago, it's red light is still blinking, tried replacing the battery but it's still not working. Tried turning on/off the phone and all other settings, not working. The app never works to sync from Day 1. Please arrange for an update on exchange or refund. Looking forward to your reply, Thanks.

Me too. It get disconnected. N NVR am I able to connect it back. I have tried for 2 weeks. N there is no red blinking anymore after I did long press.

@creator My comments were actually about the latest app update’s data sync. Out of curiosity is there a way for the app team to enable a background sync for the watch and the app on iOS? It’s kind of annoying that I need to open the app to sync the data. The iOS app dev kit allows background refresh and data sync so hopefully this is something that can be implemented with the watch.

Your ideas are well noted. Adding notification by vibration will increase the thickness of the module by about 2mm. May be for a future collection for man in 42mm diameter.

@creator I also have a few ideas for the next hardware version of the watch:
- brighter LED for notifications
- vibration motor to buzz with call alerts
- two colored LEDs to signify a notification of either a call or text. A call notification would flash while a text notification would flash and then remain lit if unread. Potentially a third notification LED could be added to signify an email. For the LEDs this could be a single RGB LED that could change colors depending on alert type.

@creator I have a few notes about the latest iOS app update: - exercise data still takes awhile to sync between the watch and app. Syncing will not start until after the device is connected (obviously) and I pull down to refresh. Then it takes upwards of a few minutes to pull the data from the watch.
- once data is synced and I leave the app I must re-sync the data in the app to view previous days activity otherwise it shows empty in the app
- the app resolution does not utilize the full screen of the iPhone X. It would be nice to see this updated so the app is scaled properly.

@Creator Backer #290. Last week I received my shipment with Classic Black Nowa watch. I had also purchased the additional band (Shaper watch band 20 mm - Classic Brown) as an add-on item. My shipment does not include my add-on purchase, and I only received the watch. Please let me know when would I receive my add-on item.

The watch is gorgeous and I’m looking forward to it having full functionality. My watch doesn’t measure my sleep, I just figured that it needed an app update (I’m using an iPhone 6 and the app, which is up to date, doesn’t have the sleep break down shown on the picture on your website) but from the comments it suggests that others’ sleep is being measured. Is this an app thing or is my watch faulty? Also, could you tell me the difference between the green and blue lines in the analyse setting? I’m sure I’m missing something obvious.
The watch does not automatically adjust time according to time zone as said, even when it is connected to the phone. I have to adjust the hands manually through the app.

Please note that we design the Nowa watch to be connected from time to time for data synch or for call reject during a short meeting. This was to save the battery life. So it is normal that the watch disconnect when keeping it connected. The dev team is investigating the notification issue on iPhone X. @Egor. One again our app update has been rejected by Apple!!!! We are updating with auto time zone. Then we will work on Android app. Thanks for your patience.

I'm using an Iphone x, I have deleted and reinstalled the app a number of times, also checked the settings to ensure notifications are on the correct settings on my phone as well as on the app. Still no response for the smart alert. Any other fixes to this?
