@Zaghloul Saad Delivery estimated date is on december as said in the pledges.
Zaghloul Saad
Any expected delivery date?
@David Shay, @Joshua Kennedy thanks for the question. We're on schedule. Our promise to publish more detailed timeline means that we will specify time frames needed for each phase in the update more clearly. Our subsequent updates will be based on this information. And yes, we plan to publish the information at least monthly.
Joshua Kennedy
I agree..please post monthly updates
@Creator, thanks for the reply.
David Shay
So does that mean you are already behind schedule? Really would be good to start a regular cadence of updates, perhaps monthly at a minimum?
Thank you for comment. Yes, we are going to do it. Currently, we are waiting for the delivery of new mechanisms for better and more accurate dosage of pigments. At the same time, an industrial design is being developed. Industrial design requires more time due to the use of new mechanisms. Once we have completed the development of industrial design we will publish a more detailed timeline.
@Picolor, I suggest you update the scale of your timeline from seasons to months.
As indicated in the timeline, we plan to start with an industrial design. We will share progress as we meet our project milestones.
Stay with us and watch for updates!
Anything going on here?
Joshua Kennedy
Congrats! Hope it is indeed the start of something big!

Thank you so much for your support and for joining our Picolor community!
Congratulations on a successful Kickstarter campaign.
I´m looking forward to using my Picolor extensively :)
Zaghloul Saad
Congratulations ...
Nice to hear you are backing this too warcolours. Perhaps you can advice them about the mixing compositions.
Scott D
Warcolours. Nice to see you. That would be awesome. I'm a huge fan of your paints. My avatar was done almost exclusively in warcolours. A Colaboration would be awesome. I'd certainly advertise it and miniatires painted by me as painted with warcolours and picolour. Just saying, if you want a spokesman ...I'm available.:)
we ( are supporters of this project too and we are open to any collaboration for the acrylic paints!
Maxim Vovk
Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot to us!

@Sarah Jopp
Thank you for your comment.
Certainly we're going to post an update dedicated to the end of this campaign and the results we achieved in its course. In case you have any other specific questions, we will be happy to answer them.
Maxim Vovk
Grace, thanks for your support and your question.
You are certainly right, the inks should be ready when the product is shipped. And yes, it comes with the base set of inks.
At current stage, we can not calculate the final price for the set of pigments.
For us it is important that the price is adequate and competitiv comparing with what you can buy by yourself. .
As we said, we need funds for testing and choosing the optimal solution. We realize that that it might appear simple task to onlookers, but this challenge also requires resources.
As we mentioned earlier, now we can assure that the set of our CMYKW pigment colors actually will never cost you more than $30 (shipping costs included)
Sarah Jopp
Hmm... 48h left and no update since one week ago...
Hi, I was wondering if you could make additional ink sets available as part of the kickstarter campaign? I read in one of the comments that you have not finalised the inks/suppliers and therefore not adding extras as an option. However, the inks need to be ready when the product ships as I believe it comes with a base set of inks. So I do not understand why this is a hold-up when it comes to including extra ink sets with the kkickstarter campaign. Can you please explain?
I just watched the video about making acrylics and I am very excited now. A paint on demand system as a mini painter is awesome. No more going out into the cold, stormy night to get that one paint I just have to have because mine dried out or ran out or spilled.
Maxim Vovk
First of all, thank you for your support and participation in the life of the Picolor project. We'll definitely examine the opportunity you shared with us. Thank you.
Maxim Vovk
@Jason Emery
Jason, thanks for your support and your question.
We are always happy with any comments and questions, because it means that our product is interesting for the public. Answering your question, Picolor will be compatible with fountain pen ink. First, you will be able to purchase expendable materials via our company. The set of our CMYKW pigment colors actually will never cost you more than $30 (shipping costs included). Also after the release of the product, we will publish the list of ink manufacturers and the range of their products compatible with our device. So this will add more flexibility in respect of ink choice for cube users.
Hello creator. I pledge for 2 units and will not change this especially now you showed to mix acrylic paint also. I recommend from a miniature painting guy to check out this site.… Perhaps you can use their pigments as a mixing base and will increase your support from this community. I must say i havent used the pigment powder yet but do own a large set of there color paints. It is a small company but maybe they are also interested in your mixing device.
Jason Emery
Forgive me if this has been covered somewhere and I just don’t see it, but would Picolor be compatible with fountain pen ink? I’m still not clear on whether this is meant to be a tool that you fill with your own ink/paint versus buying it from you? Thanks so much, this is a very exciting project!
Maxim Vovk
Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot to us!
Maxim Vovk
Thanks for your kind words. Answering your question, the principle of the use of the cube for the gel polish remains the same as for the acrylic, that is to add the resulting pigment to the transparent base of gel polish. However, we need some time to choose pigment manufacturer we could recommend for the use with our cube as well as to conduct some tests so that you could get proper colored UV gel as a result.
Great to see it working with acrylic paints. I used pigment powder from warcolours to mix colours this will be great tool for colour mixing
Really good you have developed it for acrylics. On the imagery you show gel polish. Will this be uv setting polishes?
Maxim Vovk
@Zaghloul Saad
Thank you for your comment. Mixed paint is delivered by small portions (3 ml) into a 8 ml jar. Anyway, we consider to add to our mobile app the feature of choosing the necessary volume of paint to be mixed.
Zaghloul Saad
Any option to select the final quantity of the ink that i want to mix?
Many of you asked us to post a video showing the finished pigment mixing with the acrylic base. We are still in the search of the optimal proportions, but now we've already achieved some positive results. For those who are interested in this particular possibility of using the device, we suggest you should watch the video:
@James Thomas, @Churchill, @Jason
Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot to us!
James Thomas
Looking forward to using this with all the minis I have acquired through kickstarter games, and hopefully get the approval of my other half a classically trained artist.
Sold. Supports Acrylic paint.
Video looks promising! Incoming swarm of mini painters.
Maxim Vovk
Thanks for your genuine interest in our product. Today we have finished the tests and got the necessary proportions. Regarding specific deadlines, we will publish the video, we had promised before, by Thursday (5.04)April
"Soon" ... A week ago. Sorry, we don't buy it.
Scott D
@ Maxim. Hey buddy. Yeah, I totally get that, and like I said, I totally have faith in you and your team to make this work. Its just that with 11 days to go, folks are getting ancy in regards to seeing some proof and functionality in regards to your product. Like I mentioned before, I'm sure you can do it, however it seems like a lost opportunity to really make this thing blow up and go big as it could be. It seems the greater market wants a specific feature and i'm sure with more research it will be possible. But folks are wavering and I am honestly concerned that without the video, this may just go all the way to defunded very quickly should folks get cold feet. I'm sticking around and I have two units as my pledge, so that will hel a little bit, but overall, I'm worried that folks will flee in droves due to the tech being reasonably new and there being little in the way of proof of it working as it should for other purposes. Still keeping the faith though. I know you guys can do it.
Maxim Vovk
@Scott D @HappyWulf @Joshua Kennedy @bart
Currently our device is compatible with paints on water and alcohol basis.
We have to admit that we did not expect such a rush in respect of the direct mixing of acrylic paints in the device and now we have the task to maximize the cube in order to add this feature.

How does it work now?
In order to demonstrate the process of mixing the transparent base and our pigment, we’re going to publish the video of mixing our pigment with acrylic bases soon, but we need some time for preparation and testing.

Now we're in the process of testing, however, it should be noted that despite the seeming simplicity of the process (just to add the necessary pigment to the base), on our part, it is necessary to calculate the proper proportions for obtaining the desired shade as well as to choose the optimal pigment.
Scott D
@ Happywulf. I can see why you would. I have faith in the product being great and I have faith (perhaps blind faith) that they will make it compatible with acrylics. However the radio silence and the lack of evidence as promised is certainly cause for alarm. I can see why this campaign hasn't blown up as much as it could and should have. Perhaps it might be time to can the campaign, gather some evidence and relaunch with these items advertised from the start. If they can guarentee it will mix acrylics for painting miniatures, the campaign will explode. Mini painters by default are willing to spend big bucks on their hobby. I think that's a huge undertapped market that this product could be aimed at with the right evidence.
I'm about to pull out myself. It's been nearly a week with complete radio silence from the project team. No update or even comments.
Scott D
I can’t foresee why it wouldn’t.
Joshua Kennedy
I want this to work with acrylics so bad.
I am very curious if this device will support airbrush paints. I paint a lot of warhammer figures but always miss the right color in my pattern.
Maxim Vovk
Thank you for your comment. We described in FAQ the process of refilling. At the moment we have a prototype device and its refillng mechanism is a bit different from how it will happen in the release version. We will certainly show the refilling process on the video, but only after the completion of the industrial design.
