Fling Paper Airplane Launch System

Editor's Rating
4.9?
Discovered on 2018-05-08

Effortlessly launch any paper airplane with the Fling Paper Airplane Launch System. The Fling takes less than a minute to install, making it easy to send off one paper airplane after another. The kid-friendly system is suitable for children of all ages, offering kids an opportunity to play with real objects. In fact, it’s even fun for adults. Simple and easy to use, the Fling consists of a paper plane insert and rubber band launcher. Made of carbon fiber, the paper plane insert offers a hook for the rubber band. Additionally, there are two types of rubber band launchers to choose from: acrylic and carbon fiber. The carbon fiber launcher is more durable and stylish while the acrylic one is more economical. Both types effectively launch airplanes far and wide. Finally, the Fling comes with free paper airplane almanac.

No, I haven't sent them out yet. I just sent out an update, but long story short I want everyone to get a chance to see how the different profiles turned out. The should be here soon, so I figured it would be worth the wait.

Hey @joshdog2014! Production is going well, we have been in touch with our supplier to get the orders started. It takes about 2 weeks for Kickstarter to transfer the funds to our account so we can place the order, which should be any day now. Once we get our funds and place our order we we should have a pretty solid ETA of when we will be able to ship. I'll send out an update when that happens. I imagine we should be able to start shipping late June to early July.

Been a couple weeks, how's the production coming? When do you think we'll be getting our Flings?

@Lawrence, thabks for your pledge! And that's a good idea! So like a pack that includes one if the three unlocked profiles. I should be able to set that up. When I send out the serveys you'll be able to select what packs you want. For example say you got a 4 pack, you will be able to select 1 pack of the Yak, 2 of the F-22 and one of the F-35. It will work the same with the Mega Pack and extra. I'll add a variety pack to the list of options.

Hi Tray. Almost hitting the 3K mark. Yeah for multi-coloured rubber bands. I pledged the Mega Pack so I was wondering if instead of choosing one pack of one profile, why not give an assorted profiles?

Andrew, I completely understand $14 is crazy for a $5 perk, but that's the best I have right now. I will look into what our options are for non-tracked packages, and let you know what our options are. For now I would recommend seeing if you can find someone who you can combine orders with. Shipping doesn't increase with the amount of Flings you order.

I can’t help but feel $14 is crazy. Couldn’t you offer a non-tracked/economy post option. Postage being 3x the value of the item is just insanity!

Andrew, Thanks for your feedback. $14 does seem like a lot when we have rewards starting at $5. There are a few reasons we have chosen to send everything out in mailers instead of plain envelopes. I'll post all the pros and cons in a FAQ. The short answer is $14 tracking is what it costs us to be able to track the package, most of that being the upfront fee. Check out the FAQ for a more detailed response, and let me know if you have any other questions!

$14 postage to the UK for something that can be sent in an envelope is obscene.
