Enjoy fresh coffee no matter where you are with the Sablier Portable Drip Coffee Maker. Featuring an elegant and modern design, the Sablier is easy to use and portable so you can stop wasting paper cups. Likewise, it has a dual function since it is a coffee or tea maker as well as a tumbler. To make a fresh cup of coffee, just open the top cover and pour coffee or tea into the filter section. Then pour hot water to the scale mark. Tighten the lid completely and flip Sablier 180 degrees. The brewing process takes just a few minutes. After flipping it, you can open the bottom cover and start drinking. Additionally, the water capacity of the tumbler is equivalent to a full cup. The portable coffee maker comes in six colors, including Stainless Steel, Snow White, Deep Red, Midnight Blue, Java Brown and Rose Gold.

Hi Lois,
To add comment regarding your question; For your ease and simplicity, its best to leave the grinds inside the filter cup. We designed the seals so the brewed coffee does not back fill into grind filter cup section. We wanted the "brew to drink" process to be as seamless as possible. Thanks for your question, I'm happy to answer anything else. -Team Sablier

Hi Lois,
Thanks for your question, Ill try and answer as best for you. After the brewing process is finished, the process of tighting the filter cover engagues a seal between the brewed coffee and the wet grinds. You may empty the grinds prior to flipping, not a problem, but to drink your brewed coffee you will have to flip it over to access the tumbler side to drink. Hope this helps.

Question about the brewing process.
If the whole tumbler is flipped upside down, that means the hot water will be soaking the coffee again when the brewing is finished. Wouldn't this caused over extraction ?
In which case, wouldn't it be easier if we just take out the filter after brewing and not needing to flip it at all ?
