Editor's Rating
4.8?
Discovered on 2018-05-31

Relieve neck pain and improve your posture in no time with the C-Rest 2.0 Portable Neck Massager. By resting on this device for ten minutes, you can release stress and tension as quickly and painlessly as possible. The massager instantly relieves neck pain through a combination of acupressure, cervical relaxation, and occipital muscle stimulation. Likewise, it uses your own body weight and curvature to provide tension relief and cervical stimulation. C-Rest 2.0 includes three unique massagers, including Relieve, Relax, and Release. Ideal for everyday use, the C-Rest Relieve effortlessly relieves neck tension through semi-dynamic motion. Similarly, the C-Rest Relax is excellent to use before going to bed thanks to its slow and steady motion. The C-Rest Release gets rid of muscle knots through dynamic motion. By using your body weight, the knobs effectively stimulate the acupressure points. Finally, C-Rest doesn’t require any electricity or batteries.

It’s strange that it feels like we’re talking behind their back like they’re not here, but they are here... but they’re not!

@Jason: I agree. A creator really needs to check their campaign at least once a day. Otherwise it shows a lack of commitment to the project or it creates distrust amongst backers as we’re seeing now. A lack of communication means a lack of management, and that usually ends up with problems as was seen in their last campaign. It’s a shame, I’d really like to try this on my neck!

If I was running a campaign, I don’t care how busy I was with a day job, I would check in ATLEAST once a day and answer any questions, I think with my research, past problem history and the lack of communication I’m gonna sit this one out now.

@Creator: can I change your name from ‘Team Start Living’ to ‘Team Start Responding’??
Flip
Review from Kickstarter
Not a word... Maybe they’re so relaxed from using the C-Rest that they feel asleep and haven’t woken up yet! ;)

Still no response, are the creators on holiday?
Flip
Review from Kickstarter
@Jason: no, I’ve had no response from the creator. I also have the same concerns as you after reading comments from their previous campaign. @Creator: backers would appreciate more open communication. Thank you

@flip have the creators contacted you via message? Just curious since there has been lack of discussion on here, I myself have all the same questions you have and I’m wondering why there isn’t more info on here to help us make a decision on which version would be best for us.
@creator, I looked into ver1, all the complaints, shipping issues, how can I trust this product is going to deliver what you advertise? I know nothings perfect but what reassurance can you give me? Seems like a lot of people had some problems your last go around d

@Creator: you didn’t answer my question clearly. Can you please advise which C-rest is better for tension and stiffness in the neck and shoulders? I think this is similar to @Jayton’s question. I agree with @Jayton and @Karen. It is difficult to work out which c-rest is the most suitable. Can you please respond more promptly and advise us with your opinion in more details and add more clarification to your page. Thank you

Hi Team, which one do you recommend for a thorough neck/shoulder massage? I cannot really make out the difference between the lime and blue c-rest.
Because of that I am hesitant on pledging two or one.
Please advice, thanks.

@FLIP You will be able to choose in the survey :)

@Creator: I was thinking the cyan release for neck pain and stiffness. I don’t really get any pain, but I do get a lot of tension and stiffness in the shoulders and neck. Is the cyan release suitable for this or would you recommend the lime relieve for this too?
Team Start Living

@Sheri Go with the LIME if you have to choose one :)

which C-rest to choose...for neck pain/stiffness from improper sleep posture.
Team Start Living
Review from Kickstarter
@Frankie :) That’s a great idea, but it may cause nightmare in fulfillment as C-Rests come out of the factory ready to be delivered. I agree that peanuts can be a good motivation & reward! We will start sourcing!
Frankie estrada
Review from Kickstarter
Like those peanut holds that are round n can be used for different areas that the c rest can't get or something like that ;-)

A stretch goal can be something that could go well with the c-rest.

@Jonathan: Yes, you can. Make a pledge for C-Rest first and then we will open up the special link for you to buy... but after this project. *(Kickstarter Policy)

Would be possible for me to order one of yours pillows together with the C-rest?

@Jonathan C-Rest is built for portability and travel :) A good carrying bag is a must :)

Nice, I didn’t know that!

@John
It already comes with a travel pouch. Wink wink :)

Review from Kickstarter
Maybe some kind of travel or storage bag/case included with the order or as an at cost add-on?

@FLIP great. That’s why we build C-Rest. It’s just a good routine to wrap a day
Team Start Living
Review from Kickstarter
Any ideas for stretch goals? We are unfamiliar with that :(

Or $75,000?

Maybe a stretch goal at $50,000 and $100,000?

Will there be any stretch goals since you got it funded?
Flip
Review from Kickstarter
Yes that is helpful to know. Thank you for the response. I stretch for 10min every night before bed, so I look forward to adding this to my nightly routine!

@Flip It will be better to use on the bed or softer surfaces if you feel that the C-Rest is too rigid. If you feel like you need more pressure, you can use it on harder surfaces like on the floor. Hope this helped out!
@Stephanie Houng Thank you for your support! This is actually a upgraded 2nd generation product compared to the one on Amazon and the price is actually cheaper at the moment including shipping. We are not offering returns/refunds as we stated in our FAQ.

Review from Kickstarter
Hi, this looks like a really cool product. I’m looking forward to trying it. However, since the Kickstarter price isn’t much different than the retail price on Amazon, will you accept returns/refunds on this in case it doesn’t work out?
Flip
Review from Kickstarter
Hi, I assume you get more pressure the harder the surface you use it on. Can you use the C-Rest in bed with suitable pressure or is it better to use it lying on a hard floor?

Hi, can we upgrade shipping speed for extra fees after campaign?

@Andrea Edgar We have changed the density of the blue C-Rest (C-Rest Release) so it will be soft and but firm when using it. We had complaints of the C-Rest being extremely firm and we have fixed that problem with this one. All the other features are the same as the previous one.
@Nana You will be able to chose the C-Rest you want in our post survey after the campaign ends :) So you can choose the Relieve version for now.
Andrea Edgar
Review from Kickstarter
@Creator, if you did redesign or modify the original blue C-Rest, now known as Release, could you please elaborate on what was changed? @Nana If you want to order just the Release, you can purchase it directly from them because it's already in production at https://www.startliving.me/products/c-rest and then you don't have to wait for the new versions to be produced and shipped.
Nana

is there an option to jus get the Release version? can i like jus top up from the early bird?
Andrea Edgar
Review from Kickstarter
@Samuel Chee - in reading the campaign, v1 is now considered/called the C-Rest Release and they have added two more versions of the C-Rest. All 3 models serve different purposes.
C-Rest Release (blue, original)
C-Rest Relax (gray)
C-Rest Relieve (green)
I backed the original campaign and will most likely get both the Relax and Relieve models so I have the trio. I enjoy my C-Rest and I like that they have developed these two new versions. @Creator - If I have pledged for the Opening Day Special but then decide to get both new versions, will there be the ability to add-on after the campaign ends for the other one or would I be best off pledging for the 2 pack? Is there a limit on the # of backers allowed for the 2 pack?
Samuel Chee
Review from Kickstarter
Just to check the difference from v1 is now there is 3 different type?
