Made a player sheet for longer term play for Expedition. Would love people thoughts that have played. https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2000055/continuous-play-same-character

This game is amazing, and the expansion added plenty to the game without making it complicated. It's been a huge hit at my game night since I got it (a month+ early no less!).

Hang on, i thought we're supposed to receive the game in April? Mind you, i live in Indonesia so i have no high hopes regarding delivery punctuality. So how come it's sitting on my doorstep already on the first week of March?
You guys are AWESOME

@Hans agree - that's an unfortunate side effect of producing the expansion and base game at different factories :( We totally agree that saving would be awesome, and are currently looking into it!

Received the game 2 weeks ago, played it quite a few times during the holiday and am even trying to write my own story. Liked the game a lot, and got more positive responses that I imagined.
Only comment is that it is strange the expansion uses smoother cards than the base game (I got both at the same time), this makes the Horror loot hard to shuffle randomly through the loot, and the same goes for the adventurers.
Oh, and the thing about the clips is a fair point ;-)
But I love the game play, hoping to find some good stories in the app. (Would it be possible to make a save option? Sometimes when I close the app, even for a short while, all progress is lost.)

I ran a multiplayer game the other week. I don't really like the clips and they don't work with sleeves, so we used D12s instead. For monsters I just lay the clips over the number, just be careful not to knock them because it might make the fight last longer (or you lose!).

I know it was brought up before, but has anyone thought of a good alternative to the clips? In my fisrt two games I had a ton of fun but could already see some wear. I want this to last so I'm going to be trying to work out a better way to keep track of the numbers

@Jeremy odd that that email isn't working for you! Did you get a response back saying that it was broken, or have you not received a response? Could you try emailing contact@fabricate.io?

A bigger box as an addon would be a good idea, be a good way of generating more income too ;p

@todd that's fair man. The only way around that I could see is if you created an app/web app that allowed you to load your quest, edit it and save it but not emulate it? So you could do some work and save it then check it worked on the PC later... I've got no idea about how it works tho so maybe that's not even possible!! Either way. Love it. Have spent 2 hours writing already!

I made little trackers inspired by magnetic bookmarks. I took a rectangular piece of colored paper (2x4cm), added a piece of magnetic tape (2x1.5cm) on the top and bottom, put adhesive transparent foil (boeklon in Dutch) on the paper side, and punched a hole more or less in the middle of one of the pieces of tape. If you then fold the paper, you can clip it on the cards and the hole will show the lives. It's a bit labour intensive, but I thought is was fun to do. If anyone is inteseted, I'll see if I can add some pictures on bgg. It probably won't work on sleeved cards, depending on the strength of your magnetic tape.

Received mine two days ago. I found the clips more damaging the cards then helping to track stuff.
Do you have any good alternatives to track stuff? Gems seem to be to big.

@David awesome! No plans right now - it's too heavy a piece of software to run at a non-frustrating speed on modern phones. Hopefully they'll be fast enough in a few more generations :)

Received a few days ago in the UK. Have completed the tutorials only but can't wait to sit down and play with the wife. Love the whole concept so much I've already started writing my own quest, before I've even played one. One question, any plans to allow the quest creator to work on phones? Would love to work on it when quiet at work or waiting for the train!

@Boris absolutely, a larger box is definitely in the future :)

No the cards didn't sleep, they sleeved. Thanks auto-correct...
Boris
Review from Kickstarter
Spent this morning sleeping cards and played the tutorial games for Expedition and the Horror. Great little game: a nice multiplayer version of choose your own adventure with some light role playing added in, well done! Unfortunately the sleeved cards now don't fit in the box, a perennial problem and very frustrating.
For the next expansion, could we have a bigger box to fit all cards when sleeved? Even as an add on this would help.

Oh my gosh I’m so dumb. I just looked at the cards again this morning. Initially I only looked at the backs of the cards and I assumed the “helper” cards were some sort of ally that you gain in the game. They’re actually the reference cards. Never miiind. Haha. Sorry Todd. Thanks for a great game.

Sorry if this has already been addressed. The rules indicate a “reference card”. I’ve looked through the decks and found no such cards. Was this omitted from this Kickstarter? Thanks.

@Todd That makes sense, and is what I did first. However, there is no easy way to tell the difference between the "official" quests and the community ones.
Would it be much to ask for a flag on the quests to highlight the ones you have had written? Part of these questions is just improving the game, but there is also an element of accountability. The backers should be able to identify the quests that are part of the stretch goals, even if this is just an update on KS. Anyway, the game is really nice and I'm looking forward to working though the quests. Thank you.

Thanks @Todd, I only see 3 quests plus the learning ones. If I change the settings I get the extra learning quest for The Horror, but nothing else.
This is on Android and the web application.

@Porty expansion quests automatically show up if you enable the expansion in settings, and the quest details page mentions which (if any) expansions it uses. Agree that we could make that more intuitive!

A question and a request.
How (or when) do we get the extra quests that are part of the stretch goals?
It would be great if the community quest search had a filter for the expansion.

Just got the base game and expansion! It's a great game, but I am a little sad that it's not truly a 1 player game as you have to play as two adventurers. I can play any game 1 player like that. However, I love the game for my gaming group, thanks!
