SANDMARC Cinematic iPhone Camera Filters

Take your iPhoneography up a notch with the SANDMARC Cinematic iPhone Camera Filters. This range includes the Drama Filter, a polarizing filter, as well as three Scape Filters. The latter are neutral density (ND) filters. The Drama Filter helps to reduce glare in your captures as well as darken the sky and manage reflections. The result of the Drama Filter is, well, drama. Each image is intense and colorfully vibrant. The ND filters also offer their own benefits. The three Scape Filters include the ND4, ND8, and ND16. The ND8 and ND16 are ideal for bright and sunny days while the ND4 for moodier days. These filters reduce exposure, create motion blur, and add some cinematic pop. The filters are suitable for your iPhone 6/6Plus and the 7/7Plus. However, the SANDMARC Filters also work with the Galaxy S8/S8 Plus, S7/S7 Edge, Google Pixel, and LG G6 with the included clip.

I'm sad that that it was not more successful here on KS. I love Sandmarc products and the quality. I hope that it can still be made and that ill be there to pick a whole set.
@creator So sorry to see this wasn't more successful, really a product that was deserving of more love. Here's hoping the collected info will allow the project to still find life outside of KS.
Its been a while! (One day short of 2 weeks by my count.)
Glad you're back.
Pam, Erwin, Muhammed, R, Thank you for raising these questions and concerns. We are channeling other ways of pre-order systems on our website to allow our Kickstarter backers pre-order there once this campaign is complete. We will keep you posted. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
@Pam Hansen The project's creators haven't been heard from recently. I suspect they decided the project was not going to make goal about the time they sent out the "non-survey survey" in order to collect email addresses. Presumably that was about future marketing efforts, not reward delivery. I think that was a mistake, and I think the lack of attention to the project lately is another mistake. I have seen an active marketing effort rally some pretty dismal and doomed looking campaigns. Sandmarc has a website and offers other products so you might keep an eye out there. I am still signed up for the full kit here, which in spite of my concerns about Sandmarc's conduct of the campaign I am still prepared to back. However, my enthusiasm is definitely waning. There are other iPhone options which have been around for a while, many of which look pretty much identical to the Sandmarc offering. However, many of them come with pretty junky optics - quality, not innovation was what the Sandmarc product purportedly offered. Perhaps the fact this product was hard to differentiate at a quick glance but cost more than the competition was the downfall of this campaign. Perhaps not. Assuming this product is not going to be an option (and with such a poor showing, it is hard to imagine the creator investing to bring it to market) I would look for an iPhone filter adapter that supports standard 37mm screw-in filters. That way you can get whatever quality filter you want, from expensive high quality optics to cheap Chinese junk. B&H Photo and Amazon would be two places I would start such a search. However, shop carefully and ask questions. You want to make sure you can use standard filters and stack them, or at least that the filters that come with the adapter are adequate to your needs. Good luck to all.
Pam Hansen
If this project does not achieve the pledged goal will there be another way this product can be acquired ?
Erwin Lota
The samples that you posted are prototypes? Or you actually have items that we can purchased? or are you going to continue the project even if it will not reach the goal? Hopefully.
Muhammed Al-Masmoum
will the project continues to develop even if the campaign not archived?
Hi Daniel, Yes, the Scape Filters are compatible with Samsung Galaxy S8. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Daniel Lee
Do the scape filters work with the Samsung Galaxy S8 as well?
Jack, Sorry you see it that way. If you're not interested in providing your email, that's more than welcome. Cheers, SANDMARC team
Jack McLain
I, too, found the "pre-survey-survey" spammy, since it indicated it wanted to add me to your mailing list and really, nothing more. Just letting you know how it played in the cheap seats.
HI Mihnea, Yes, it is compatible with OnePlus 5. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Mihnea S.
Will this work on the the OnePlus 5? I think that it will do, since it it works on the iPhone 7+.
Thanks for your reply. I think I'll stick with the process I know for now. I may reconsider when the campaign actually ends. In the meantime, good luck on making goal, I think this would be a nice upgrade, even for casual iPhone shooters, and would be much better than the junk "optics" some others have on offer.
Hey R, We want to make sure we communicate all details to our backers when campaign is completed. If you wish not to provide an email and handle everything through Kickstarter, that is not an issue at all. Thanks for your concern. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Why are you requesting our email addresses "so you can request shipping information" before the campaign has even ended? Normally all this is handled through Kickstarter, and all the shipping information is pre-populated (but editable) for those who have backed other campaigns in the past. First time backers still provide the information through Kickstarter after the campaign ends, when the surveys go out. This premature request by you seems very odd. I hope there is some good explanation I am missing.
Golding - Simply type in $50 in the "Drama" Pledge and we will ship you two units. We'll also request your shipping address at the end of the campaign and we'll make sure to deliver what you've pledged for. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Hi team - I'd like to pledge $50 and get two drama filters. how do i do that via KS?
Remarkable Media Group - Due to the lightweight nature of the filters, a counter weight balance is not necessary. Cheers, SANDMARC Team

Hi, I use the DJI Osmo Mobile with my iPhone 7 Plus and with some attachments like for example, the Moondog Labs Anamorphic lens, the DJI Osmo Mobile requires a .5 lbs counter weight to balance the gimbal. That said, I was wondering will the Sandmarc lens filters also need a counter weight to balance out the gimbal?
Hi Muhammed, The clip-on mount is compatible with the S8+. Before after photos with Android will come soon. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Muhammed Al-Masmoum
the clip need to be bigger for more phone compatibility, and could you share some photos before and after for other android phone (i had Samsung S8+).
Hi Arjan, Yes, it is compatible with the LG G4 as well. Both Drama and Scape Filters come with a Filter Case. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Great product!
Does this fit the LG G4 as well?
Does the 79 usd bundle come with a case/cover/protective pouch?
Alfred - The Compact Edition is the most compact yet most durable pole in the market. It's aluminum, waterproof, salt proof and you can check more details at Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Kazuimis - Our products we introduced for the iPhone is the same standard we use for our professional GoPro and DJI drone accessories.
Can you demo or give more info on what makes the Sandmarc Compact Pole different from others? Thanks!
How are your products different from other existing product out in the market? Just curious
Hi Brandon, The outer diameter of the clip-on mount is 40mm. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Hi Jerrill, Yes, the filters and clip-on mount have been tested with the LG G6. However, do note that it only works with one of the camera lens at a time (either wide angle or normal mode). Cheers, SANDMARC Team
brandon hoe
What size is the screw mount?
Jerrill Camarillo
I've read towards the ending of your campaign that this is built for iPhones but you have attachments to work with a few other Android phones. Anyway we can see how these attachments look like? I have a LG G6 which is one of the phones you mentioned. Did you actually test these filters out with the LG G6? I'm wondering if it'll work with the rear wide angle lens because if it does, it'll be great for landscapes.
Legnano - Unfortunately, our filters are not compatible with OOWA lenses. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
Mark Thompson - (1) Case Compatibility - Yes, we have tested our filters with the official leather case by Apple. It is compatible and you do not need to remove your case when applying our clip. (2) Future Compatibility - Based on current renders and leaks on iPhone 8, even the vertical two camera system for iPhone 8 plus would be compatible. However, since those are still leaks, we will make a new mounting system for iPhone 8 for existing customers so they do not purchase the same filters again. Cheers, SANDMARC Team
I really like your filters! Unfortunately i usually take photos with OOWA Lenses for my iPhone 6s, which makes it impossible to use your clip. It would be incredible to mount your filters to the OOWA lenses. Is there a possibility to do so? Greetings from Germany
Mark Thompson
Looks interesting - found you through Product Hunt. Two quick questions: (1) Case compatibility - what sort of testing have you done / are intending to do? I've got the "official" Apple leather case on an iPhone 7 Plus. I know that *ideally* I should pop it out of the case before I apply the clip, but I was born lazy. Is it going to work, or is my experience going to be seriously sub-optimal?
(2) Future compatibility - whilst it's true that at this time we have no way of knowing, it's looking increasingly likely that the iPhone 8 (or whatever it's going to be known as) will have it's dual cameras arranged *vertically* on the back which would make sense given Apple's announcements about ARKit and iOS11 at WWDC yesterday. If this is the case, so long as the dimensions of the lens "housing" / "bump" don't significantly change will the clip on lenses still function okay in your opinions? Given your reward delivery date is in line with the expected announcement date for the next iPhone I wouldn't want to see you folks suddenly get a huge number of refund requests when the iPhone 8 is announced.
