Sleep Away – The Pillowcase Revolution

Sleep Away is a cleaner, easier way to case your pillow. It is soft, bacteria-resistant and comes with a 100% bamboo sleeping surface. The design is also perfect for those dirty pillows while traveling, and every night use in the home. It will prevent hair loss and breakouts which are mostly caused from dirty pillow cases. This is a shirt-styled pillow case which can be taken on and off each day in a way such that you can use it comfortably without facing much of a problem. The use of bamboo is special because it wicks away unwanted facial and follicle related oils, as well as adapts to your body temperature through the seasons. They also used velcro so that your pillow cases don’t slide off and always stays in place. It’s everything you would want your sleeping surface to be – smooth and calm. The product feels lovely but it is not adjustable to fit our various pillows and we have to use an undercase because the ends of the pillows are visible. The logo is too obtrusive for my taste. I may have been too optimistic in buying a dozen.

I've received mine! Thanks Brent. For the reviews, the pillow case is really smooth and soft. However it doesn't stay in place during the night because the attachment isn't designed securely. It's easy to wash the pillow case as well using the mesh bag. I usually hang my clothing to dry so I don't know about using it on a dryer. It takes half a day for it to dry completely(on a hot weather). Overall, it's a decent pillowcase. Just need better design on securing the pillowcase on the pillow. :)

I do feel really bad that I am leaving a negative comment, but I think it's only right for other backers/consumers. This is not a good product at all, in fact I have thrown mine away (did try to cut to use for rags but shredded everywhere once the seam was cut). The pillowcase never stayed on during the night, but the worst part is that this is being touted as a pillow that is better for your hair. Well that is not okay considering more than once I woke up with my hair caught in the velcro and it ripped pieces out. Then there is the issue with drying them. I dried them alone in the mesh bag and it would take 2x as long as any other sheet or even towel because the velcro would stick to each other and bunch up--would open the dryer to find a wet ball. I am sorry, but these were not ready for public use.

Love this product, it's great, and comfy. A couple of suggestions: more Velcro that are closer together, and maybe Velcro on at least 1 end. I find that the covers ride up and so I've had to put pillow cases under the sleep always or there is pillow exposed which is unsightly.

Because we do acknowledge that the first model isn't quite yet perfect, and we are working tirelessly to solve that. On our newer Sleep Away prototypes we are attempting to incorporate different sized pillows, eliminate fabric wrinkling, and transition to an improved fastening method. But our mission statement remains the same: An easier to change pillowcase for both your hair & face, while remaining extremely soft :). Brent

I love the sleepaway concept, but the execution (at least for me) has been lackluster. My sleepaway is already unravelling at the seams. I'm also disappointed that the screen printed logo shows through the sleepaway (so my pillowcase isn't solid white). I still need another pillowcase under the sleepaway, since it doesn't close/hide the edges. Also, I wanted to use this on one of my odd-sized memory foam pillows, but since there are no edge closures, it's almost impossible to keep the pillow case on the pillow throughout the night. The bamboo is super soft, though, which is nice.

David, To wash your Sleep Aways, we recommend using the Mesh Washing Bags provided, and wash in warm or cool water without fabric softener. To dry, ONLY use medium or low heat without a dryer sheet. Both fabric softeners and dryer sheets can build up on Sleep Aways and ruin the fabric's integrity overtime. Hope this helps! Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with :) Brent

This product is great but my concern is that when i dried the sleep away, it seemed to shrink a bit so now it doesn't fit my pillow anymore and then i read the label on the sleep away, it doesn't seems it can be dried using drier because the label specifically say to dry using warm iron.
