Love this idea, due to it not being limited to just one area! Will be interested to see the research on the use of the brain waves to race cars and other activities and games! Will it improve over all IQ? Will it aide in our growth and use of more of our brain? Expand learning age?

The app actually recognises the phones language and switch itself to English after installing. My issue is that the app does not recognise the Bluetooth connection even though the device itself is paired with my phone .

Still no response about why it's only in Chinese or plans for an English app.
Last login from Creator was 13th June when I commented I'd received mine in a broken case and completely useless.

My real question is will there be an English version of the app? For some reason I believed there would be seeing as how the campaign was in English. The band is completely useless without any way to communicate with it.

Well - it arrived, packaging cracked in half, app and provided instructions all in Chinese. Totally useless to me.

Hit post too soon. I'm going to try later to gently force the charger in. Need to be delicate because the plastic seems light (maybe cheap, maybe designed intentionally to be light weight). Hope it works.

Review from Kickstarter
Received the product today. Plastic case was shattered and no English instructions. The device did not appear damaged, but does feel cheaply made. The charging plug does not easily fit into the device because the female port is juuuuust slightly misaligned. And it's not micro USB nor USB - C, so its inconvenient. At this point I can't get the charger in so I can't tell if it works or not.

Hello!
Hope all is well and everything is on track. May snuck up quick for me, I'm sure it's done the same for you guys. Any updates for us? Everything on schedule?
I'm very excited to hear that there will be a place for us makers to share and create together. That's smart for product growth and great for us makers to feed off each others ideas.
Looking forward to playing with this!!!

@all We are working on a developer community and forum where everyone would be after this campaign is over and play with these, where we can share our results, ideas etc.  We do not have enough money to Recruiting staff to do. We need time. Too much to do, so little time, so little money. We wanna to do cool stuff with all over backers. Doing a library in exchange for a Mr ESP is reasonable to me, too! :-) Our team is small, but the developer community is powerful. All the kickstarter backers are our seed users. You are all important seed users. You are the most important persons of our service. Your feedback is an important force to advance our improvement and progress. We will also support projects developed by our backers in various ways, enrich their project and promote them together. Our team is open, shared, and hope seed users moving forward together. It's getting close to campaign end!
We have made a tutorial on the product of mind-elec modular kit and are making tutorial on omega box kit. The mind-elec modular kit, omega box kit and mind-control MOZI robot are more strenght goal. Thank you for all support and all the same! Team BioBlue

I backed Esp and dev board however, I'm thinking I should be getting the Omega 2 option. It says add x amount for esp and dongle however, I want toi keep the dev board on too... I think.
This is really challenging to figure out exactly what I need when I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with it lol.
Where will everyone be after this campaign is over and we start playing with these so we can share our results, ideas etc.
It's getting close to campaign end and I'm still trying to figure out if this is something I will be able to use and not lol. Terrible... I love tinkering but it adds up quick! @Robo you're concerns are mine as well. I don't really need a basic toy right now to do magic moving if cars, however, if this works as creator says I'm positive some cool stuff will be created... doing a library in exchange for a Mr ESP sounds totally reasonable to me! :-) give a little and get another contributor towards enriching the project usage sounds like a happy solution for all :-)
Now if only I can figure out if I can utilize this...*sigh * electronics call to me... too much to do, so little time lol

Well, another super early bird will be available in the next 48 hours.
As I said in the very beginning, I already own too many eeg headsets. And as I am constantly traveling, customs can always cause big trouble for me. Creator failed to demonstrate good reliable eeg data, so this device is indeed better taken as a toy to get started with. By now this device is but one of three Asian single channel headsets with three electrodes and controller to the left side. See AliExpress or the other new campaign here on Kickstarter. Might be a common setup. @creator, if you want me to write an Arduino library for the Esp32, you have to send me a device for free. No hassle with customs for me :-)

@Judy Lynn: Hi, Judy
Thanks for your comment!
1.How this would integrate into the process,
We have made a tutorial on the product of mind-elec modular kit and are making tutorial on omega box kit. 2.Our team believe all the things is interesting and new, so we made the Campaign for us and for our friends all over world . 3.You can hands on that you are interested in. We suggest you select the mind-elec modular kit or omega box kit or mind-control MOZI robot, since it is more strenght goal and include the dev-board (or receive data module).
Of course, you can support two or three pledges. 4. We have successfully produced 100 sets of Mr.ESP 1, and the yield rate is as high as 98%. And the surrounding products are also in trial production, and the reliability is also very good.

I wanted to chime in on the backers comments comment... err.. yeah, that makes sense right?
Anyway, I haven't commented, I have silently watched because I'm curious and still trying to understand the scope of Mr esp use.
I'm interested in it for biofeedback, my doctors were teaching me about it years ago hoping it could help me with my illness... the pain part. I meditate and am curious how this would integrate into the process... so really it's more curiosity and hands on that I'm interested in, I don't really have any questions.
Also I'm watching to see what people do with this. Outside the box ideas. I find that aspect a bonus... I love the idea of tinkering for unusual uses... so I watch the comments...
Hooking it up to the omega2 looks interesting, however, I'm not sure the end goal there yet...
So basically this is new to me so I watch from the background listening to the ideas learning. Also, trying to figure out if I'm going to stick with my current choice of the esp + dev board or switch to another option...
So yea, that's why I haven't commented! :-) sorry!

@youlian:
You are super imho. :)
The TP4056 have already been placed in the board! If battery is on, the board can be charged simply with 5v usb power.
Theta waves:4-8 Hz Or 4-7 Hz
Cortical theta is observed frequently in young children. In older children and adults, it tends to appear during meditative, drowsy, hypnotic or sleeping state.
When hypnosis, people are easy to receive foreign commands. In addition, the θ wave and the limbic system has a very direct relationship, for triggering deep memory, strengthen long-term memory, etc. have some help.
After all, To promote the development of bci, we must increase the civilian product. There are increasing the number of applications, not only for scientific research, at the same time to promote more informed product and developer community. Of course there are more expensive scientific-class brain-computer interface products. We are going to civilize the scientific research-level technology, consumer-level. Science is something that has to be done, cost-effective is also had to do.
Mr.ESP 2 now performance is great, but do not have the production conditions, and would be the same most best price. I believe that it will absolutely meet your demand about theta wave and scientific research! But, we need time And

tp4056 (or similar) + 1. it's, like what, 25 cents a piece or something?
@robo how could you possibly take this seriously? you've been a backer for a long time, you should be in a position to fully appreciate the entertainment value of ks by now :)
everything is hilarious about this, especially the videos, with bombastic titles, nonetheless , especially for the non-chinese among us. naturally, for most people over the top expressions of exertion (especially mental) are perceived as funny, then the effect is exacerbated by the asian/non-asian differences in face perception.
perhaps not intentionally? or perhaps intentionally? who cares, entertaining nonetheless...
so, for example, i was watching two chinese guys overflowing with happiness, exchanging electronic parts as gifts in a really narrow room on youtube... hmm? wait, why did i even watch that video? for entertainment, of course :)
additionally you people add a great amount of hilarity yourselves, with that "glasses" (wait, wha?) discussion. imho, of course. yeah, it's a toy and that's pretty obvious imho.
but... as you pointed that out yourself $50 for a toy is not that bad... btw, i recently came across a person who mastered an altered state that i recognize as very important in my research, i plan on perstering him until the end of times for details, so i can replicate that state :) he claims it's characterized exclusively by its theta nature, so in the name of scientific research here is a q for you, which is the best device for studying the theta band in your opinion?

Thanks to both of you for the excellent feedback! I don't pretend to understand it all, but I think I get the general idea. There's a lot more to it than what I was thinking. There's remote outlet switch you can by for cheap on Amazon. You plug the remote outlet into the wall or a power strip, configure it to the included remote control, and then plug a lamp into the remote outlet. You can then turn the lamp on or off with the configured remote control. The remote control controls the remote outlet, which is plugged into the wall or power strip. So my suggestion is to have a remote outlet controlled by Mr. ESP. That way you could plug anything into it. So instead of just one dedicated device controlled by Mr. ESP, you could have multiple devices. (lamp, radio, tv, fan, etc.)

@Ricky Curioso: As Robo said, the way (the level of some type brainwave would have to be calculated over long time) is to solve the problem of alpha / beta levels always fluctuating.

The dev-board outputs the original EEG data at the serial port and calculating the level of focus at GPIO, so we could get the real-time feedback and a stable concentration level simultaneously.

It is a good idea that in the exhibition showcase, more focus, more clear glasses. You can see more clearly the contents of the showcase.

That controlling the smartphone brightness is also a good idea for people to continue reading. This project is like the idea that avoid truck driver fatigue driving.
@Robo Darden :)

@Ricky Curioso: What is the remote "dead man switch" for outlets? You said that when people are relaxed, focused or certain states, the "switches" can be turned on or off? Outlets? You said power plugs?

Review from Kickstarter
Oh No,I like the idea :-)
I think people are not commenting here because they do not take this campaign for serious. Is this device just a toy or will it deliver stable brain states ? people don't know but 50 bucks don't hurt. They back this campaign but don't engage in talking about it. I prefer your idea to the magic bulb because such a fancy magic feedback will rather distract you from the work you want to focus on. But when your vision fades, you automatically have to concentrate more on reading. That would be a natural neurofeedback. Problem is, that alpha/beta levels always fluctuate. You can see this in their blink video. The middle graphs are the alpha and beta levels. I know this from meditating with the Muse eeg device.
You can not reach a mind states where there is absolute silence and only birds singing.
You have to accept that wind rushs come and then silence continues. But if your glasses would make you blind every few seconds, this would quickly get frustrating. With meditation this is not bad because it is a good exercise to to stay in a meditative state. To avoid occasional shutters, the beta level would have to be calculated over very long time intervals. 15 seconds at least I guess. Better half a minute or even a minute. Then you would get a stable concentration level (if this device is not just a toy) BUT the real-time feedback would get lost. You could not learn how to concentrate because the feedback would be too slow and too vague. So it is not sure, that the glasses would work at all. But hey, we could quickly write an app that turns down the smartphone brightness. Would be the same concept.
And if this indeed would force people to continue reading, then your idea would be a great standalone Kickstarter campaign.

I guess the demand for the clear/opaque glasses may not be that strong if no one else us commenting on it. What does your team think about the remote "dead man switch" for outlets?

@Ricky Curioso: “I would really like to see a pair of glasses that is see thru when you are concentrating optimally, but turns opaque when you lose concentration. These glasses would be for the specific purpose of studying, to give you instant feedback when your mind starts to wander. ”
The glass demo we have already done for some exhibition. We could control glass opaque or thru with mind concentrating. However, we wonder How strong is the demand for the idea you proposed?

I would really like to see a pair of glasses that is see thru when you are concentrating optimally, but turns opaque when you lose concentration. These glasses would be for the specific purpose of studying, to give you instant feedback when your mind starts to wander. This was an idea I saw in a failed campaign a couple of years ago. I always thought it was a great idea and was really disappointed it was not funded. What do you think? Alternatively, maybe a single socket(think power strip with only one socket) that plugs in anywhere that only stays on if you are concentrating. That way you plug in anything into it: lamp, fan, small heater, radio, etc. and it turns off when you stop concentrating correctly.

Congratulations Bioblue. Your team has achieved over 100 backers in such a short time frame. I feel certain that your campaign will exceed your expectations and that soon you will see your device helping people to control many other devices. With all due respect to Mr Robo and his technical expertise, I will say that not all backers have iPhones. I find the blue color attractive and serene. Perhaps a stretch goal can be made to allow the choice of several different colors for those whose preferences differ? And I find Mr Robo's suggestion of allowing backers to add rewards for additional sums of money to be an excellent one. I myself would like to inquire about adding an EEG ball to my pledge. Once I am able to do that I will also add the additional sum for a USB dongle. As I am certain that others will have the same questions, I think it would be wise for your team to make the prices of such additions as part of the information in either the pledge or in the backerkit survey, Thank you for your attention to the many details of this campaign. May fortune smile on you all.
