Where is my pillow?
They just stolen my money

Hi there! Have you contacted the seller directly about this issue? We would also recommend checking out the comments section of the Kickstarter page for other user updates as well.

I never got my pillow - yet they have my money. What a joke.

Mary W

I just bought one for $99 so the price here is wrong. I love the sunrise on both sides and the meditation mode, when i try to sleep to meditation and breathe, i fall asleep 100% guaranteed every time, in under 3 minutes. Magic trick of sleeping, so it helps to have the guided meditation in it.

Mary W

18 features omg this is a sleepers drrrrreaaaaaam! I love the sound conditioner it helps me sleep so much. so having it in my pillow i like DUH! why wouldn't they have done this before. this pillow idea of reely smart

Ashley T

I just bought one for $99 early bird. there's still some left. i love the smart alarm sunrise and wireless music idea. I'm going to wake up feeling like a million bucks thanks to my new favorite pillow.

Kat Lover

I have seen the future of sleep gadgets... and they all will include a sunrise and sound conditioner like this awesome thing. I must say, I'm pretty excited about this one.

Jason T

You know what they say about, "Once you go black?" WELL let me tell youuuu a thing or two: I received a light alarm for xmas and it has changed my life completely. I Cannot wake up right without it (like when i travel), because i've learned just how Terrible-feeling the average joe wakes up

Peter King

This really is amazing. I'm so mad that they sold out of the $109 package!

this is seriously genius. i love it!

Can't wait to get this pillow. Last year I was in a study group for Withings and one of the products I trialed was their Aura. That had the lights, alarm, and music also. This pillow has more; I especially like the audio book and the ability to turn off light on partner's side. The Aura was a nightmare for my hubby with the lights and sounds. But it helped me sleep better. The pillow sounds great for me with no intrusion on him.
@william You first get it and then think about how to clean it
In any case, you can only wash the cover
How do we clean this pillow?
Is laundry possible?
Tim Sullivan
Congrats. You did it. Now comes the real fun; turning a vision to a quality product that is ready for release. Expect delays if you value the quality and don't compromise your expectations. Mitigate the negatives with timely updates. Great job in your immediate success, stay strong. -ITC TJS

Can't wait to sleep better!! Hope I choose the right design??

Congrats on funded. Looking forward to the product.

I have been charged 180$ instead of 129$. Why? It was not on my plans to pay an extra 50$ right now.
Zack Alawan
Congrats Mode | M! Excited to see how this pans out and looking forward to a better sleep schedule.

Excited to see this project develop! Part of kickstarter is helping to fund an idea you believe in. Happy for those negative people who truly got their dollar's worth of raging about nothing. Now you've wasted a lot of other people's time, too. Good job.
(never mind the last question, apparently it was revealed already in the campaign page)
Indeed, finally funded. Congratulations to the people at Mode | M ! I hope that the negative comments will stop now, since they all backed out. Those who are still around have shown that they trust you, despite the red flags. I hope that communication will improve, and that we prove the "haters" wrong :-) Just for my curiosity: what was the 900k stretch goal?

Finally Funded!!

They are building the pillows in China and probably distributing them directly from China or rent space when the pillows come in. Why would they rent now when they are starting out and have nothing to distribute. The loft is probably a design studio. The whole building is a commercial building, not residential. They are a new company and probably do not have the capital to buy/lease a warehouse space now. As for researching names, they have one name attached. Creator has been a backer 8 times so I am sure that KS has all the records they need. Website- they have had FB, DomainYoutube, and twitter account since March. The domain name was registered since December. If you state that they flubbed their social media campaign, I would agree. Fraud? No correlation. Patents - Patents are expensive long useless process unless you have expensive lawyers willing to do battle in China. I think they received bad advice. Pricing- it is a stupid thing that KS campaigns are doing now. I seen it with Ace Shoes, Packing cubes and etc. They up the "Early backer" by a few in order to get people to panic buy so they do not "lose" the deal. It does not show fraud or scam, but a just poor trend in KS campaigns. as for getting the product in October, I have serious doubts. 70% KS miss their deadlines. Adding that they are a new company. Add they will be dealing with an unpredictable Chinese Mfg and they will be looking to get product during the time Chinese MFG are looking to build items for the Christmas season. Plus they received much feedback on how to improve their product. They guarantee they will not hit their deadline, but that is ok. Rather a great product.
I am staying.
@eugene I will laugh untill one cries rememmbering your name, if after october all will undestand what this project was just one more Scam.
What about your words what they must disable backing 1$ is ravings of a madman, or you just one of projectmakers. Becase via rules ok KS even if you are pledging without any rewards you can write comments because its not a store, its funding platform, and even 1$ is a pledge too. Whats about project, if you will think with your own brain, so many options what they want to offer us for a just 99$ minus 10% of KS, its just 90$ its impossible to offer for that price so many electronic and good quality cotton in that pillow. Its only possible to make from shitty parts like so many offers come from china on ebay or aliexpress which most often not working at all, or working very bad.
So good luck to you and others who try to rage and defend this project, istead of just be stopped up and sit quiet, dreaming about magical pillow which will make your dream better for just 90$

@Joel send them a message by going to FAQ and ask whatever you want, they'll answer.
@jay. Thank you for your investigative abilities. Your talents are wasted here on kickstarter. I may be in the same geographic area, that is Southern California, As the creators but so are 23,000,000+ other people. I share with you the same "no agenda" in giving the counter argument to your criticism. But yet I offer a solution to all those who are dissatisfied. Get a refund and have peace of mind. I am not sure why anyone is such a glutton for punishment and stays in just to hope someone fails? Purely to claim " I told you so ". It begs the question, if it turns out to be a scam and you knew that and still pledge and lose money, even with endless opportunities to get out and chose not to? What does that say ? Is that cutting your nose off to spite your face?
I said I wouldn't back on KS after a previous incident with a creator with whom their community suspects they just took the money and ran. It was only a ten dollar product, but when a very similar lookalike for 3.50 (I think?) was found and posted in the comments section, everything blew up wholesale. Ten dollars is one thing, one hundred dollars is another. I hope this doesn't turn into that ten million dollar watch deal but based on what I've seen in the comments section, I'm optimistically hesitant. So yeah, like I said about never doing this again... well... The other day I was at macys going through their closeout sale. I wanted a new pillow to replace my flat one but it was a bit over the top in the price department. In addition, I initially chose to fund a product here that promised a better sleep/wakeup by wearing some headgear on your forehead that would shine a light on your eyelids. I don't want to wear headgear just to get a good nights sleep, and I need a new pillow. $99 for the smart version of a more expensive dumb pillow I was about to buy seems like a steal, almost, too good to be true... To our creators, more communication would be much appreciated and put alot of minds to ease on this. I really hope I'm not making a mistake with this. I don't want to be burned on KS again.
@eugene I have no agenda, I backed and looked forward to this project. I feel the concept is great and I will buy one at at 299 if it becomes available. I praised this project to a number of people and I still think it is great. However great a design or product is, poor organization, management or execution can destroy it. Since you appear to be new here you need to realise there is very little recourse if things don't work out. There have been scams before, I never said this is one. When you back a project it is trust in the creator. Trust is earned not granted. This is crowd funding, the same crowd that sounds the alert to a great product also sounds the alarm. I spent hours researching the names and addresses involved, I have read every comment from the beginning before I posted anything negative, I have backed out of campaigns before after verifying what others have said. I have never seen a campaingn with the lack of transparency this one has. Your comment about the creator having to jump, rollover ect is wrong, they are asking us to hand over our money with no collateral or guarantee, this is crowd funding. We do not get financial statements, equity, or a contract. The creator must instill confidence which they have not done, in the final 12hrs of the campaign you have posted more than they. The issue here is things don't add up, there are reasonable explanations for the questions asked but they were not answered. Many kickstarter ideas are built at a house or apartment. I have done dozens of arduino projects on my coffee tabe table. I dont know how how they are going to deliver 5000+ pillows out of a 1500sq ft loft. How do I know this? Again I did some research, we all have the internet. . How do i know this is their location? See my previous post. The people who backed out all listed why, not speculating but with facts. There are only two reasons why you keep defending the creator, #1 you are a noob, #2 you are one of them or a plant to boost support. I hope it is the first, but you and the creator are both close geographically and if you share the same IP address at any point it has been logged and is a violation of the T/C.

TL ; DR Don't be a lurker. Ask them questions through the FAQ page.
Zack Alawan
TO ALL SKEPTICAL BACKERS!!! Please just private message them by going to FAQ and Ask a Question....I've messaged them 3 times now with questions pertaining to Shipping, Patent V Delivery, and why they aren't posting on this comments thread. Responses with 5 minutes detailing each question. I was close to dropping out but actually talking to them for a moment changed my mom and I'm keeping my money and support with them for it.
@emanuele. I am quite surprised and impressed that you still have faith in his product to stay in. With respec Tu the jet pack. If you show me as much as effort and shown me what the sunrise creators have done thus far, you will have my support. I've always wanted a jet pack, ever since I saw one as a kid in a old sears catalogue.
@jay. Exactly. It was definitely their mistake to allow $1 backing and subject themselves to comments from anyone with or without agenda or ulterior motives. Actually, the $1 backing may be a mandatory by kickstarter.
It would be a bargain at twice the price. If you dont want people leaving comments at the $1 level you shouldnt have it.

Enjoy guys and girls! Hope you get your pledges but I'm not sticking around.
Have seen my ultra early bird pledge get extended time and time again to the point where just about anyone can get at the same price. This seems to be more an exercise in capital raising than anything else as the communications have been totally lacking and there is also a distinct lack in transparency from the creators. Truly hope I am wrong, but not going to risk my hard-earned cash on what appears little more than a pipe dream.
@eugene, great because i am planning to develop a super jetpack, can you give me a couple hundred dollars to get started?
Jokes aside, i am happy for you that you are able to give out "just a couple hundred dollars" to anyone that asks for them, just for the sake of helping someone develop their ideas.
I unfortunately, (and i think manh backers too) are not in this position, so before giving them put, i would like to atleast be partially reassured that i am not wasting them.
Not saying i am skipping rent to back this, not at all, but i definitely could save them for something else.
I probably will keep my pledge, but at the moment, i am a little unsatisfied with the creators so far, i truly hope that i am completely wrong.
@jay. If you "was" in it for two pillows. What are you in it for now? That single dollar? If so, that pretty cheap for your soapbox.
@emanuele. I hardly think u am aggressive. Maybe condescending. Yes, that's my point, if you believe that you were tricked in pledging money based upon no showing "details nor the prototype" you can get ur money back right now still can't you?
@eugene why are you getting so aggressive and condescending? Are we not allowed to express our concerns? Especially if we are about to give them 100 dollars or even more
Blindly trust someone or something is never the way to go, simply because, sadly, crappy people exist and they are ready to screw you over. Not saying they necessary are, but there is always a possibility.
I guess if i come to yout house and say "hey, i have this awesome idea to build a functioning jetpack like james bond. I can't really show you the details nor the prototype, but if you give me money i'll make you one, trust me" you'll happily throw money at me, right?
@eugene, I was in for two pillows. And yes backers who don't do their due diligence are eaiser to please. It would be worth the dollar to to see your comments if this doesn't work out but I think you allready know whats going on.
@emanuele. Jump, jump higher. Now dance. Now jump higher and dance faster, now beg. Now rollover. Now sit up. . ..... some backers are easier to satisfy then others.
@jay. Exactly for a single dollar. For a single dollar. Which you can get back I assume. You are this invested.
@eugene as you pointed out, creators come here with a neat idea and a radiant smile, not much else. And it is exactly because of this that they must play the communication card, answer everyone's questions, updating the stretch goals as soon as they can, show us what they are doing with the project.
Not only because it assures the backer that the project is real and not a scam, but becauae it shows also how much they are invested in the project, and ultimately this is what makes backers stick with the project.
I personally have backed 3 other campaigns: two of them already delivered, and one is experiencong quite some dela, however the constant communication from the creators and they rapid response, explaining in detail what they are up to makes the delay completely bareable and even welcomed, because it will probably mean they are trying to make their product ad best as possible.
Unfortunately, this is not exactly what is happening here. The best case scenario is that they simply are inexperienced and will get better with time (although if they claim they have helped develop "ogher prjects" they should have at least some experience), or sadly, there might be something fishy going on.
@eugene I'm not at all torturing myself, it also gives me a chance to think about why a person who just registered and only backed one project that is well passed fully funded is spending so much time defending that project. Besides its my dollar.
@jay. I understand that. But if someone has that much constination about it and you can get out without loss, why would you stick around just to torture yourself ? I am sure your time could be spent doing something much more pleasurable.
@eugene I don't see people maliciously exiting the campaign. I see people explaining why they are leaving. I see this is your first campaign, I encourage you to look at other ones and do some research. All of the concernes could have been adressed by the creator who has chosen to stay silent. They also asked everyone to spread to word and people did, they raised 700k. Now things don't look good so you expect everyone to be quiet? PLEASE look at how the creators of successful campaigns behaved, demonstrated, responded and disclosed. And yes I behave lime this in the real world too, I research investments, write reviews, and voice my concerns.
Shay Laadan
I asked about safety, how can you know that nothing like galaxy note 7 will happen. You didn't answer at all or give other important information to other people. Sadly i am also out
Ross Aylward
Hmm, I checked the registration data for their website and it indicated their website domain name was registered in December of 2016, indicating some forethought and planning went towards it. A quick facebook search also indicates that the domain name registrant is indeed a real person. The fact that the website is built on Squarespace indicates a probable lack of experience with building websites and web based marketing. I'm going to choose to believe that most of the strange marketing shown thus far is down to the team being young and/or inexperienced. I sincerely hope I'm right and I will be keeping my pledge. Best of luck to the team.
Viral Videos
everything about this project is off, they just started their site when we started asking questions, everything seems cgi and mock ups , no real company site , no real contact info on there new product site, no background on any of them , it will be interesting watching this thou
It is interesting that people are compelled to so ungraciously exit a campaign. I am amazed every day how life has changed with the internet. The internet has definitely improved our lives, but at the same time it has its terrible drawbacks. People can with near absolute anonymity and without any accountability post threats, slanderous statements, disparaging remarks and accusations. People doing so often do not realize the consequences, or even worse if they do, how such sensational statements can evolve and destroy a person or company’s reputation and/or livelihood. And how it will affect all other innocent individuals due to the fallout. I suppose the individuals that make such statements with callous disregard simply find comfort in their self-righteousness and false sense of superiority. They have done society a good by casting the first stone. I would remind everyone that before you judge or criticize another, that you ask yourself whether you would pass the same level of scrutiny. Certainly, my comments are not just for this campaign, I am simply observing this viral need of all those to exercise any and all thoughts without any filters or consideration beyond an instinctive reaction.

With respect to all Kickstarter campaigns, the Creators are coming to the community with hat in hand, their biggest smiles, and their best case, to essentially beg for a donation/backing. The Creators then promise a reward for the Backers’ generosity. The Backers, however, are in a superior position the entire duration of the campaign. For a backing of even a single Dollar, the Backers can posts comments, questions and demands to their heart’s content. And when the poor Creators can’t jump as high, or dance as fast, or satisfy the every whim of the Backers, they become the subject of ridicule, and suspicion. But most importantly it should be noted, the Backers may pull their support right up to the end of the campaign. This contingent relationship is inherently unfair. The Backers have risked nothing until the close of the campaign, yet, they seem entitled. Since Backers are able to get their entire backing returned without a penalty up until the end of the campaign, then there is no detriment to the Backers during the campaign, but only detriment to the Creators. The Creators only benefit after the campaign is closed and funded. So, it is perplexing that a Backer is compelled to be a spoiler and make negative comments, prior to the end of the campaign, when he can simply exit, and does so right before exiting. It simply demonstrates a level of mean spiritedness when a Backer on his way out decides to spin as much negativity and exits with a loud ugly bang, while knowing that he has risked nothing, will lose nothing and is made entirely whole, while leaving a trail of demands, questions, comments, and negativity. I would ask the such Backers whether they behave as such in the real world, would they dare be so brazen and brave? Would you dare go to a restaurant, order, and before getting your meal, hurdle the same level of questions and demands, and if they are not satisfied, cancel your meal, then insult the staff as you exit? If you do, then I commend you for your honesty and consistency.

Their marketing tactics are simply bizarre to me. I asked a question about the pillow earlier and they replied to me but private messaged me instead of just posting a reply here so everyone could see it, why the non-engagement with the community? They now have a website and there appear to be two videos on it demonstrating the pillow at
Why weren't the videos shown on the Kickstarter page and why are they on private on Youtube? It's just weird and plain bad marketing. I'm undecided as to whether I will keep my pledge yet. I could get a pillow like Oreous and a Philips wake up light alarm clock but that would be a little more than twice the cost of this pillow. Additionally, I see many design advantages to a product like this such as the fact that the gyroscope is in the pillow allowing the sensor for the alarm to be more accurate than anything else on the market. A directional alarm clock would be nice to avoid disturbing others and the lights should work well regardless of which way you face sleeping. I like these features and I like the price but again, this behaviour from the company is just plain weird and it makes no sense to me why they choose to market like this. I would be a lot happier if they had more demonstrations of the product and were more engaged with the public.

I'm out. Not enough updates. They only responded to people who asked simple questions that could be answered from things they already posted. Looks scammy. Good luck to the backers that stay in. Hope they are an actual company that has a real product to send out at some point.
Dear @creator, i really don't know what to say....
I want this project to succeed more than anything, because this is exactly what i have been searching for a lot of time, and i say this with all my heart.
However, the lack of communication from you paired with the multiple concerned backers (ehich surely have more experience than me) is really wearing down my confidence in you, mainly due to the fact this is a somewhat pricy plexge, and thus requires a lot of confidence in the creator.
Please, i am generally a trustful person, and would hate to withdraw my pledge, only to find out thi has been a great campaign that fulfilled every promise.
Now that we are at 10 hours before the end of the campaign, please, i beg of you, give us something. Show us the app, detailed pictures of the prototype, indepth video of it working, anything that proves us that this is not a (don't really want to say)scam.
Please, don't let me withdraw my pledge, i really don't want to.
Although i want to remind to everyone biggest scam of KS, the…
Which was looking the same, video with only prototype and 3D graphic, lack of information, and RESULT nobody still from 2012 recieved their Magical watches
Patrik Ragnarsson
so sad. really liked the idea. but no info on creators (trolls?), no info at company (does it exist?). Awfully slim showing of functions. I am out, good luck all of you other backers, i hope there is something for reall for you to recieve...
I've been happy with my previous Kickstarter pledges. But this one? Wasn't impressed yesterday when I selected the $99 pledge, only to find that by the time i logged in, it was gone. So I went ahead and pledged at the next tier. A few hours later the $99 tier was back and available, and today was still available. Not impressed. If this is marketing, it is bad marketing. So I am out also, withdrawing my pledge. The comments here don't inspire confidence either!
Ryan Lydon
@all backers: I backed this project some time ago though ultimately dropped this pledge after seeing the writing on the wall a few weeks' back. Folks, if it seems too good to be true, it most likely is. In dealing with several other projects here on KS that have originated in the seeming 'free-for-all' China market where innovations are quickly copied and sold, there is still little to no evidence of a functional prototype which is even a mere semblance of what is being promised. I found myself even more discouraged and dismayed with this project, however, when I revisited it only to see what sounds like a project cheerleader in the form of @eugene. Surely for someone who is so supportive of free markets and the spirit of invention, you do seem to push aside what I see to be valid concerns from these good people who are, at present, willing to part with almost 3/4 of a million dollars. In any project the onus is on those marketing and selling the project to answer these valid questions. Surely no trade secrets/intellectual property need to be revealed in order to answer a few simple questions. I felt obliged to re-add my $1 bid just so I could say my peace but I will now be withdrawing that because I don't even want to waste a penny on this. Just remember good people, a fool and his money are quickly parted so please take heed.
Alex Hoang
Dropping my pledge....The given information, lack of transparency (no full names, company is barely known, unprofessional manner) in the video is very sketchy... It seems like the creators are mostly advertising the fact that there is a led strip in the pillow rather the features offered by their pillow. Look at the Zeeq pillow details versus this. There is a significant difference in representation. As for app use, it looks like it works from the video but the creators don't really demonstrate it. The lack of comment communication is what makes this a dropper. Without trust, it isn't worth it. Good luck to whoever is backing this!
Stefan K
Dropping my pledge as well. The experience of backing / buying is even more important than the product itself and so far the experience has been a doubtful one.
I'm also curious about the patent pending issue stated previously. I am also concerned with the lack of information concerning the company and creators in general.
