Peter, their lack of transparency, avoidance of answering detailed questions and infrequent updates is the problem. Also, in the last update, the video was a complete joke. Oh wow, an Android tablet booting up! Pffffff Also, there are so many shady red flags on this thing it's alarming.

For everybody getting upset with not having the product. Please read update number 24 dated august 29 2017. They clearly state why final shipment would have to be pushed back to end of 2018. The last update was april 22 2018 they were close to shipping testing units to the beta group. Allowing time for those units to be finished and for them to arrive with the testers. Then for the testers to use and assess them. For feedback to be received and assessed. I am not surprised we haven't heard any more yet. Please note i have no association with this project other than as a backer.

Please stop invoking rights. You should invoke gods, yokais or other unreal creatures. I guess you would have more chance to get an answer.

@AKickstarterUser You must be new to this comments section. The issue is not with delays, the issue is with the many many red flags this project has, many of which I have listed and others too. There is something very wrong with this project, and the creator seems not wanting to answer them. THAT is the reson for the discontent of this comments section, not because of delays. I would suggest you take a read of the comments and look at all the red flags highlighted by backers, and the lack of any update from the creator before commenting again.

Delays ≠ not delivering. I agree with Kickstarters there are delays, they are part of the process and I have no issue waiting for a polished product (in fact with good communication and visibility I'm happy to wait). Where I have the issue is with poor or in this case no communication and pushing out the delivery over a year. Where there are red flags for me, no contact from the creator, company web site has shutdown and a prototype from definition was not even close to production ready. Further to this when I have tried to get in contact with Morgan, well the answers didn't give any confidence for delivery or certainty with the process from the people who I managed to message. In fact I've come to the conclusion I have lost my pledge as with the OSSIC headphones.

The creator hasn`t logged in since 13 of May. This guy will never deliver anything according to the whole story. The only thing that I wonder if there is anyway to catch this Brent and have him to refumd or send him to the Chinese jail as he looks to be there. To steel peoples money couldn`t be legal in China even if he is pretending that he will deliver at some point. KS is also be responsible for this as they looks to support this kind of scammers. KS are just interested in the direct income and not the reputation. The good news is that this is resulting in new crowdfunding platforms that will do a proper job whitout support for the scammers.

Omg. Does anyone know how Kickstarter works?
Can everyone stop posting the stupid “I invoke my rights under Kickstarter's Terms of Use:
https://www.kickstarter.com/terms-of-use/oct2012” If you would’ve read the updates you would know that they explained that super-screen is being delayed (like most projects here do) so they can better produce their product. I’m used to Kickstarters not following their delivery dates. It’s normal. You should too, and stop complaining about the whole refund thing because you didn’t get your product. Be patient, and if you are going to say it, send them an email. Don’t say it in the comment section where no one looks. Besides you who is reading this.

Every now and then, I remember... "Hey! I was supposed to get that Superscreen thing!" It looked cool. I pledged. A couple of other products I backed completely disappeared. This one looked real. So, Transcendent happily took my money... and now they seem to have disappeared, too. It is interesting, and alarming, that none of the beta testers have made any sort of report, but worse is that there is no word whatsoever from Transcendent & company for two months. I imagine my (and everyone else's) money is long gone. I would like to get the product (sooner, rather than later, thank you), but the takeaway is this: I WILL NEVER PLEDGE TO A KICKSTARTED CAMPAIGN AGAIN.

If this person were to live in Germany, I would have made an advertisement for serious fraud at the prosecutor's office, you really want this scammer to get off with $2.5 million, minus the High Commission (????????????) for Kickstarter, and a Good Life leads? As a backer, am I not entitled to the delivery of the product?
Actually already at the promised period? You are right, there is nothing else here than in the purchase contract law: obligations of the seller the vendor is obligated to deliver the goods without defects he is obligated to deliver the goods on the date of delivery he is Obliged to transfer the property.
Buyer's obligations the buyer is obligated to pay the purchase price in due time he is in turn obliged to accept the item purchased by him. In this respect, we naturally have the right to be entitled to a delivery and the kick starter at the agreed time US hang out and has a thick commission cashed in, and does nothing for the people who finance Kickstarter with their money

Things Brent/Transcendent need to do to restore some faith in this project: 1. Post a Kickstarter update. Last update is exactly 2 months old, radio silence is very alarming... 2. Explain what happened with the 100 beta tablets that were being sent out on 30th April. So far nobody has posted any comments that they have received one, and Brent/TD have not confirmed they were sent. 3. Answer backer questions about the potential issue with submitting the Superscreen app to the Apple Store, when Apple's T&Cs explicitly ban apps such as these. 4. Show a full end-to-end demo of pairing process between phone and Superscreen, with no camera trickery. The demo should be done with a phone other than a Samsung phone. 5. Explain why the Superscreen appears to run on Android. If Superscreen is a dumb device that simply casts the phone screen, why do the demo tablets have the full Android OS installed natively? 6. Explain the complete silence for the last 2 months. I do not expect any answers to the above, but these are the points that need to be addressed if Brent/TD care about backers and want to keep them onside and stop the anger and mistrust from growing.

Maybe a tv or social media journo needs to expose kickstart to million and shut them down for allow wing thieves and crooks to walk away with millions, surely they would like that and kicked out of town for good. Facilitators of doom is what kickstart mob are

Problem is, we cannot take action against Kickstarter because they protect themselves with their terms of service. Those terms are what we agreed to when pledging. Those terms are what prevent our banks from issuing a dispute of the charge. We have to go after Brent directly and he is in China as far as we can tell.

@Heinz
What exactly would Kickstarter be sued for? I am honestly curious; since they are basically just a platform for connecting creators and backers (and therefore have no part in the creation process) I am not sure where their liability comes in. Maybe if you could prove their vetting process was negligent, or that they willfully ignored the warning signs (emails from backers) in order to make more money, otherwise we really need to take action against Brent. On the other hand, a lawyer once told me "sue everyone involved, and let them fight it out", so maybe there is merit in adding Kickstarter to the list.

I would argue Morgan never had a working prototype which is in violation of the Kickstarter terms of starting a project, rather he had a very loose POC (proof of concept) that was in using the already delivered Samsung mirror. This would explain why the delivery had been pushed out more than 12 months and why no person here has even reviewed the beta, because the technology, process or software is just not there. As a person who has worked for top tier digital businesses I would even go as far as saying I would doubt very much if he is really developing the Superscreen if in its current stage delivery won't be until end of next year and will be horribly over budget. From experience developing an integrated hardware solutions, using bespoke hardware design and software it is a 3 years turn around to goto market. 1 year design of a POC, 1 year for prototype and lionshare of the core code needed then 1 year goto market which includes testing, QA, performance testing, acceptance testing. For me this raises serious red flags because someone who is apparently experienced in product delivery should already know this and have mitigated the risk.
