Sybrillo – The Most Versatile GoPro Accessory

May 30, 2017 update "the mass production will start in late June and takes 3-5 weeks." June 26, 2018 update "once all ordered parts arrive at our HQ, we’ll assemble 10 alpha prototypes" So over the past 13 months we have gone from mass production starting in June of 2017 to mass production starting sometime AFTER the ALPHA prototypes are tested which will occur AFTER the alpha prototypes are built which will occur AFTER the recently ordered parts are received. Backers can expect to get their Sybrillo units AFTER they have already purchased another motorized gimbal from one of a dozen companies selling them on Amazon or after they have totally quit caring, whichever comes first.

What's happening? I did not received my item

Dear @MaxStarter, photos we include for sure in our next update, and video as well as soon as we can! For now, we concentrate on reaching the shipping phase with Sybrillo GO, that's our priority. I have wanted to use this for soooo long in my video clips of my educational programs. I’m very disappointed to see some of the other devices already on the market and all I can say it this thing better wow me after this painful journey of being played three card monty. Is this the next Zano drone?

Hi Bogi, will we see a video of a working Sybrillo in the next update? I would think that now the Sybrillo is in the hands of your manufacturers, your attention can once again return to the development of the handle. If that the case?

Hi Bogi. In the last update you finished with mentioning a grand update with all the details. As the update was posted in may, what happened to the grand update?

The product is already moved on from the development phase, to the final production phase, and soon the mass production can start. End of financial year is almost upon us and we await for the perfect product. Dear Sybrillo the perfect product Does not exist. Draw a line in your product development, get in the retail sector and deliver your product.
If Apple, Go Pro or any other successful entrepreneurial businesses waited for perfection they would be all history.
for dreams to become reality we have to wake up.
What was going to be a breakthrough market leading accessory has slipped in the ranks and now has to compete with more than 5 significant competitors enjoying market share.
I admire your due diligence and commitment to perfection, but frown upon your company's ability to deliver on your product in a respectable timeframe.

This is great news! It is almost as good as the May 30, 2017 update entitled "WE ARE ALMOST THERE" which boldly proclaimed, "the mass production will start in late June and takes 3-5 weeks." And by "weeks" they mean quarters.

* This project was successfully backed on June 9, 2016 (almost two years ago)
* I lost interest in Sybrillo a long time ago. I seriously doubt this thing will ever see the light of day.

@MaxStarter, we’ve put the SmartGrip on hold for a short time as we’re dedicating all our focus onto finalizing Sybrillo GO. So please, don't worry, Sybrillo SmartGrip is a project we want to realize after rolling out Sybrillo GO.

Thanks for the update Evi. Will development of the smart handle continue, or is its future now in doubt?

If you don’t mind, I’ll answer the questions below in one block. Compatibility: Sybrillo GO is a GoPro-optimized accessory. Other cameras that have the same mounting system may be applied to the device, but its motors were designed to stabilize GoPro Hero and Session devices. You may, of course, experiment with other devices, but we cannot guarantee that it will perfectly stabilise the image. Also, please note that we cannot speak for GoPro as a company, as we are completely independent of them. :) 
Shipping: yes, the product will ship this year, 2018. We are on the doorstep of starting mass production, but please realize that estimating times and closing of manufacturing phases is now beyond us as the manufacturing partners are in control of their processes. As discussed in the last update, currently we are waiting for a fresh timeline from the partners – we will share these with you as soon as we get them, so you’ll have a genuine, vendor-calculated plan. 
 … and finally: no, we don’t feel changing the name is something to consider, Sybrillo GO is moving into its final phase and will reach all backers!

Change the name to No Go Sybrillo since its been 2 years since this No Go Sybrillo campaign started its still a No Go

I just noticed that Christian's question from March 28 still has not been answered by anyone from Sybrillo. There is great customer service.

GoPro's revenue dropped by over $430,000,000 between 2015 and 2016 (2015 was their best year ever). Don't worry, I'm sure in May we will be treated to more vague news about "progress" without any mention of a ship date.

I have not log in kickstarter for months. Almost forgot that I have "money" in here. Just my opinion, I am sure everyone is irritated at this time, but I cannot say for sure all of us backers are gonna be happy EVEN if the products do actually deliver. Because of the competition from the other China brand can even perform BETTER, CHEAPER and AVAILABLE now. I am seriously very dissapointed with all the updates via email. Not to mention who know Gopro will still be leading action camer later. What if that happens? Do you guys will "re-design" from scratch? I am not an expert, but I have suggestion. What if you fire SYBRILLO team, buy another brand handheld gimbal and print your own logo in it? Seriously guys..

Guys, Thanks for the update with pictures. One thing though, a login for the app, really? I want to be able to remote control my Sybrillo without any internet connection.

Team Sybrillo are due in China soon, and promise photos and a new timeline. Hopefully good news.

Refund my money

Is there any thought of making this work with other cameras?
Since many GoPro is NOT doing well as a company and they might sell or not even exist by the time this product does come to exist.

I know that I repeat the question of many other and no i will not ask for my money back as i still think its a great product and if required will put additional in.
BUT could we get some kind of an expected date, This year? Next year first quarter.
Updates are great but need to set a expected target date

The Sybrillo is delayed, but updates are regular and the production process has started. There are far, far worse projects on Kickstarter. I know, I've backed some of them

Maybe we could start a kickstarter campaign so we could send sombody to check the sybrillo production. Or at least someone to remind the people behind this fully backed project of $149,026. That we want a poduct or our money back..... As a reminder for the Sybrillo team the Kickstarter’s terms of use: Make clear that companies are legally obligated to fulfill the promised rewards or provide consumer refunds. ON THE WEBSITE IT STATES: “When a project is successfully funded, the creator must complete the project and fulfill each reward. Once a creator has done so, they’ve satisfied their obligation to their backers.” I'm sure none of the backers will forget so get going and start sending the products...........

I am with @robert Becker. The story telling is boaring. Amazing would be the refund or the delivery. anything else.
In the beginning i was burning for sybrillo - today i am using Zhiyun (happy) and you just look like a never ending bad story.
its very sad.

"As for the re-design, during these past couple of months we’ve continuously upgraded our design for Sybrillo to be on par with the competitors’ products, and we'll keep doing so" You do realize that is like trying to drain the ocean with a bucket. A competitive product comes out with something new so you update your design, then another competitor comes up with something newer yet and you again update your design. So eventually, when competitors quit coming up with anything new because some disruptive technology renders cameras obsolete, we will finally get a product that is "on par" with the latest competitive product release 6-18 months earlier. I am kicking myself for ever backing this project.

Think it's basically saying, if you're outside and it's raining, the Sybrillo will be OK. The camera lens will be covered in water, but the Sybrillo will function

waterproof as to when I chatted with David some time back, more than twelve months it was "waterproof' so that if the gimbal was in a semi permanent fixture that it would limit water ingress further than something that is only 'weatherproof' rated

I think people are getting confused by all the weatherproof /waterproof thing. It's wise not to use the waterproof label, because it's not a product that will function properly underwater. Weatherproof means it will function outdoors, which is what it's designed to do. Having said that, I'm hoping that Sybrillo will push forward to get this out to us as soon as possible, without undue delay.

Zhiyun has released their gimbal system that has surpased what we had anticipated Sybrillo was to provide some 18 months ago. Add to this that the Sybrillo has been DOWNGRADED to weatherproof and not waterproof as first promissed as per the above banner.

Regular retail price will be $400' I'm sorry David Manco I have tried to remain entusiastic about this product and promote the possiblility of future sales. If you continue to upgrade behind the scenes as Nikolett has written below as long as it takes, all you will have achieved is to waste your investment and ours.
I feel for the Superbackers. A best seller is only good if you get to turn the cover and get to read the contents. just telling the reader that it is a good book is not good enough. I anticipate the delivery of my promised product when it arrives, however I am dissapointed in the way this overly prolonged project has floundered. David, your initial video boasts that there was 2 years of development before you even went to Kickstarter, you received 3x the initial pledge target that you wanted and proceeded to get carried away with development. I like to gamble as much as the next person, this was just a bad bet on the wrong table. I have used a Zhiyun unit and have just had a product from Feiyu tech provided to me and both are very capable units and these two companies are making money and gaining market share. Continue the good fight but stop reinventing the wheel before everyone overtakes you in their spaceship

So my patience is really at the end. you are really a joke your technique is really already 10 times outdated. You should give people the money back and look for a real job. if the product is finished at all and it may even come it will be sold immediately and nothing good about you said that much is certain.

I have completely lost interest in this thing. You guys should do the right thing and provide a refund, but I know you won't.
