KHAMAMA Unisex Luxury Watch

Editor's Rating
4.8?
Discovered on 2017-11-24

Enjoy the beauty of butterfly wings in a timepiece with the KHAMAMA Unisex Luxury Watch. Featuring sustainable butterfly wing marquetry, KHAMAMA creates unique unisex timepieces. With their naturally iridescent colors, KHAMAMA watches combine the beauty of the butterfly wing with the Swiss art of watchmaking. Additionally, the natural patterns and colors of the butterfly wing contrast with the symmetry of the architectural design. The high-quality watches offer Swiss movement made by watchmakers in England. In addition, the straps consist of naturally tanned calf leather. Likewise, a family workshop in England hand makes each strap. Furthermore, the KHAMAMA luxury watch collection offers six colors including blue, turquoise, pearl, green, psychedelic and celeste. Finally, all colors are also available in the Gold Edition, featuring 24-carat gold plating on all metal parts.

@Kaul: The movements are specifically manufactured for us to accommodate our unique dials. They require a higher hand fitting height due to the thickness of our dials than the normal solutions offered.
We are manufacturing the watches in the UK and the dials are all unique and hand-made. We have prepared everything and found great partners to make this happen. We are waiting for our partners to complete our orders.

Sorry to say that: the new update is just ambarrassing. The movements look great? Oh boy....these are standard quarz movements. Nothing...literally nothing special at all. And another delay. Its really interesting that those standard quarz movement are the reasob for the delay. I thought it‘ll be a great watch. But obviously they have completly miscalculated their product. Its a pitty!!!

I had so such high hopes for this I hope they deliver a quality piece, but I have to agree w/Kaul (again) you promised to post to keep backers abreast. If you can't deliver on such an easy promise - what hope do we have for a quality Timepiece?

I guess: somethings really going wrong. They won‘t ship in June.

I have to agree w/Kaul a printed logo on the glass won’t last & diminishes this Timepiece. Maybe no logo is the way to go. I’m also disappointed w/this delay & how you are going about sharing info. The first delay while strange could be forgiven but now this. Hopefully it’ll be a quality Timepiece but I’m beginning to have my doubts.

We appreciate the concern and suggestion. We will get the final crystal for sign off next week. We would definitely go for a solution that is high-quality, even if it would mean no logo. I agree with you.
We consulted with highly skilled production engineers in England and it turned out that there are jewellery watches by Dior and Harry Winston, costing 5 digit prices featuring high-quality print on glass.

Thanks for the update althogh its bad news. If I might make a suggestion: a printed logo on the glass does not sound valuable and it does not sound durable in comparison to the engraved version. Simple keep the logo away from the glass....
Better no logo than a logo which disappears by the time!

For all backers: We've posted a detailed update on our production. Unfortunately, there will be a further delay. We will post an update each week from now on.

Sadly...they also don‘t react on emails. That‘s not good. I‘m truely done with fraud campains. Hope this is not another one. Their excuse for the delay (direct collaboration with ETA) was fairly strange.

Gents, It has been a while since your last update not counting the Basel World social. You did give us a heads up about a slight delay in shipping - which is currently mid May. So in the Mortal Words “Waz Up@?”

Also you promissed about 4 weeks ago bew pictures....but nothing happened. I think you really got to work on communications. Especially as you are already delayed.

And.....Khamama....shouldn‘t there be a survey for the election of the strap?
