When you put on your watch in the morning, does it reflect who you are? Well, it should! We live in a time when everyone has the same stuff, racing for the latest phone, fastest laptop and most advanced gadget. Every single one of these devices will soon be obsolete. Your WATCH, on the other hand, is a chance to reflect your value of striking design and timeless mechanics, and that is why we hope you’ll join us in bringing the Limited Edition SOLOSCOPE Automatic to life. Let the latest and boldest mechanical watch by XERIC remind you — and everyone around you — that you are making your own mark. It’s time to go SOLO. The SOLOSCOPE Automatic is mechanical, so the motion of your wrist is all it needs for power. This personal time machine will be right there on your wrist through all the forced upgrades of your gadgets and their planned obsolescence. At XERIC Watches, we are taking a step back to classic mechanical watches, affordably priced, so that you can move forward in your individuality. We believe our creations focus on what really matters when you’re the one with most striking watch in your world. The SOLOSCOPE Automatic separates display from mechanics. It has a single hand, fusing hours and minutes in a distinctive but simple display balancing function and style. This hand encircles the hour and points to the minutes. The other half of the face exposes twin balance wheels, and the mechanics that powers the watch in reaction to motion of your wrist. A watch isn’t complete without a great leather strap. We’ve proudly teamed up with the historic American Tannery HORWEEN for some undeniably awesome time belts!

Daniel make sure you take pictures of all angles of the watch before sending it to prove the condition of it. I just got mine back from warranty repair and it came with two large scratches on the case free of charge. Of course they are denying having done this and saying that it came in like this.
Gutted :(

I'm not sure if anyone will read this but I thought that I would drop a comment about my watch. I've previously backed their halograph watch and overall, I am very disappointed at its quality. Love the design but but I've had two problems with my halograph and with my soloscope, my watch is making a sound as though the movement (the one that stores energy when making movement), seems to somehow making contact with the glass and making a noticeable rattling sound. I know I can get it fixed under my quote "warranty", but 6 weeks wait for it to be returned is going to suck. Not sure if anyone else has experienced something similar. Not really making me confident in continuing to support this brand in the future. Sigh.

Sent the Soloscope Automatic back for the 2nd time since I have it. The first time there was a loose screw, yeah, a loose screw in the movement (check the earlier comment for the picture of the loose screw). This 2nd time the automatic rotor is sticky and not rotating smoothly. Its power reserve doesn't even last overnight with daily continuous wear. This time they want to charge $95 for a "Complete Service". The watch is less than a year old. It had issues since the first day I received it. This is poor craftsmanship, quality control, and warranty service. It doesn't promote a lot of good faith in the Xeric brand or Watches.com.

@Xeric Is there a plan for more band options available on xeric.com that is 24mm size? Can we purchase additional band that comes with the watch? It seems to be the only bands that is 24mm size are the clothes type. Thanks

Just recieved the Soloscope RQ today. While it looks lovely, I'm pretty disappointed that the "second" disk only functions as a stop watch, leaving the watch to be quite underwhelming.

Hello Team, I wore the watch today, it's just the 4th time I was wearing it and I realized the rotation spring wheel is not moving anymore? I tried the clock wise winding I have a proper watch winder where the watch was siting all the time so I don't understand what could have gone wrong, it's just not working, is there something that I need to be don't to fix this from my side? Or is it really a quality issue, I see from the comments other too are facing the same issue. Please let me know.

Hi - Has anyone else noticed that the automatic weight is EXTREMELY noisey.... to the point in meetings that I'm getting looks across the table. This needs to be fixed but seeing as I'm still unable to get resolution on the last faulty watch from xeric I don't hold my breathe. Also the top wheel movement appears to get stuck.... Anyone else???

@Fredrik Tan,
I wonder if the emails being sent to you aren't making it through. We received your watch on April 25th. Your watch had to be shipped back to the factory for repair. That shipment left our warehouse May 2nd. It will take an additional 60 days for the watch to reach them, repair it, and then ship it back. As soon as we have it back, we'll send you an email to confirm your shipping address. We apologize for any inconvenience. We're committed to make sure you have a watch on your wrist that you love and that functions as it should. Thanks @Bugger Great to hear it. Thanks @jungchai kang Sorry to hear that. Please email contact@xeric.com and warranty@xeric.com. They'll be able to take care of you. If anyone else has questions about your watches, please email contact@xeric.com (don't use Kickstarter messages since it doesn't connect with our support ticket system). Hi xeric team!! My soloscope sent to the United States was returned to Korea with the recipient unknown.
I do not feel like I have a broken item, but it's absurd to happen until this happens.
I've checked two or three times by e-mail(angela), but I do not know how to handle it. I'm feeling pretty bad.
What should I do?
I'm disappointed that you can handle it quickly.
You did not check it after all.

Ugh, my top balance wheel just started sticking. The watch is fully wound. I hand wound it once I noticed it started to stick but that doesn't seem to help. It starts to move then sticks. The bottom one is going like gang busters but the time keeps on slipping within the hour by as much as 15 min. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I like the watch and have gotten quite a few compliments on it. I'd hate to have to send it back. Hoping there is a non obvious solution I'm missing. Thanks.

@Fredrik Tan We'll check with the warranty dept and have them reach out to you with a status update @Andreas Schenk Fingers crossed that the replacement shipment makes it through the sticky hands (wrists) of German customs @lars We recommend between 500-700 turns per day depending on how much you wear the watch. If you wear it frequently use the higher number. Backers of the Soloscope RQ, SQ, and Soloscope Auto + RS/SQ rewards: Go to update #24 to see your delivery date. We'll be exporting all the surveys for those rewards today and getting our fulfillment center ready to ship out all your watches.
Thanks

Dear Creators,
I did take pictures of the packing box and have sent it to contact[at]xeric.com as well as tried to file a claim with the customs office as the package was processed at customs.
Mail theft is a crime here in Germany as well. But the mail theft handling must be done on the senders side, as the sending ist done by you. The postal service used is your contractor, not mine.
The response from the watches.com team was really unacceptable so far:
"Our warehouse performed a cycle count and mock shipment and your package has been confirmed to have shipped with the watch inside. You must file a claim for mail theft with your local customs office. As stated in our terms and conditions, once items are shipped, liability is covered by the terms of the carrier." (support person from watches.com) That basically tells, that its my problem if the watch is not delivered.
I am reaching out to you here in hope to get this resolved.
I was helping to get this project going by pledging and waiting. I paid for the watch and for shipping. So I expect to get a watch delivered. Getting a watch not delivered is not acceptable. Please tell how you want to resolve this.
Lars

Hello Watchismo!
I asked yesterday:
What is the right number of rotoations per day for the soloscope automation clock!
I need this information for my watch winder! Your answer was:
We only recommend using the clockwise rotation since every watch winder has different intervals settings. But I need the information how many rotation in clockwise are relevant to charge the clock for 1 day. Than i can set the correct interval setting (for example 1200 rotations per day) on my watch winder.
I hope you can help me!
Thanks!
Xeric

@Andreas Schenk Wow. That is terrible. Please take photos of the packing box, any labels put on it, tape, etc. Send them to contact [at] xeric.com. Also file a claim with your postal service for mail theft. This is a federal crime in the US. Not sure how Germany treats it. We'll work with our fulfillment center and have them investigate on our end. @Lars

@ Bugger The Banks: No, I don't have to pay custom charges. And the very good news is that my Soloscope runs very accurately! To be sure, I wind it every evening before I go to bed and in the (early) morning when I get up. Last Sunday morning at 10am I set it exactly at that time, and since than (5 days now), the watch runs neither fast or slow, which is extraordinary of a mechanical watch.
Greetings!

I ordered a 24 mm strap off the website for my soloscope and it didn't come with the pins to secure it to the watch. I assumed they would have been included to make the strap attachable, but want to confirm what else do I need to purchase to get what I need to attach the watch? What do you recommend?

@Tom, great to hear that Xeric have taken good care of you. Another backer has suggested a class-action law suit: I hardly see the need for that. Xeric have launched several campaigns now & I have every confidence they will deal with all of the issues promptly & courteously. I'm hoping to get my (repaired) Soloscope back shortly. One question: did you have any problems with additional customs charges upon receiving your repaired watch? I would sincerely hope we wouldn't have to pay two lots of customs charges due to the misfortune of needing our watches repaired.

Hi!
I was one of the unlucky ones to get a malfunctioned Soloscope. So far the bad news... But... the good news is, that Xeric had given me a great service! They promptly replied on my mails and, although I had to send back the watch from the Netherlands, I've got it if back in only 2 weeks and 2 days, and my Soloscope runs nicely now! Even more, to compensate the shipping costs I had to make, they offered me an extra (original) strap, for free!
So the service of Xeric, I only can reward with a '10'! Thanks guys!
