@Lois: this is exactly what the button does.
Every time you press it, the button records the timestamp, first in the internal memory and then, when in proximity of your phone, it will transfer the time stamp to the app. You can see when you have done your task on the app dashboard: it will display the day, hour, minutes and even seconds.

Is it possible to have the button to record time it is clicked ? I tried doing activity recording before, but often having to take out my phone or even notebook is taking much trouble such as when commuting. Having a click to take note of the time would have been easier, and I could just write down the detail description later in Notepad.

This is an amazing project. I am so excited I was able to be the backer that reached the goal before the end. Such a cool feeling.

@Ragnar: excellent question. We have been debating this internally and I see you too came to the right conclusion.
It would be technically possible to set multiple tasks at different times for the same button, but we don't want our button to be just a tracker and reminder, we want Klikkit to help people building habits.
The physical presence of the button acts like a cue and every button is a cue to a new habit. Say, red stands for picking up kids from daycare, every time you see it, you are reminded. In the long run, it would trigger a mechanism in your brain that will help you wiring a new habit.
For a better explanation, please look at the clip from our Behavioural Scientist Pelle Guldborg Hansen.
thank you!

Sorry, just so you know - the app is still not available on iOS App Store.

Okay here is a weird question: Can one unit handle more than one task? Such as 8am feed dogs, 10am walk dogs, 4pm pickup kids from daycare.? Granted even if one unit can handle multiple tasks, it'd still be better to have multiple units based on location the tasks occur.

Dear Kai,
Thank you for your questions.
The current version of the app, lets you set daily or weekly schedules. However, we are planning to implement more scheduling options shortly.
It is in our timeline to have that feature in the buttons, but at the moment it is not possible to personalize the alerts. The alert is three beeps, 10-second pause, three lights, 10-second pause, etc. for about 1.5 minutes.
Thanks,
The Klikkit Team

Sorry - 1 more question..
How long with the alert go off for until it stops without the button being pressed?
Kai Nicholson
Review from Kickstarter
What kind of timeframe can alerts be set to? Can it be measured in days (e.g. every 15 days)? Also will it be possible for an alert on the device to be setup to be to be lights only (so without sound)?

@Rik: Dear Rik, the reason why Klikkit can not be used as a trigger button is simply because currently we are focusing on another value proposition: Behavioural analysis and intervention. Therefore, the app doesn’t give you this option. We are considering in the future to create a public SDK allowing other apps to use klikkit as a trigger button (timing depends on budget). To be clear: the Klikkit hardware in itself does not prevent it from being used as a trigger button. Thanks for the question! The Klikkit team.

You say the Klikkit can’t be used as a trigger button, this must be only a software restriction? Also because you can trigger a "reward" you should still be able to use it as a trigger button?

@Ragnar. Thank you for the interesting comment! So far we have not made any partnership with other successful companies, however I love the idea!
We have some personal connections with Fitbit and I will try to see if we could perhaps collaborate in the future. Thanks, Cris

I wonder if there will be a way to link it in with Fitbit (such as the drinking water goal).

Dear Peter,
thank you for the relevant questions, good material to use in the FAQ section. For now I will start answering them here:
1) shipping to Danish backers will be done from Denmark, no extra import fees and handling fees.
2) The button downloads from the app the schedules and can work fully autonomously with light and sound reminders. It also has the possibility of storing a virtually infinite number of clicks in the internal memory. When you want to transfer the clicks to the phone and do your stats, then you have to have the phone in range and the app in the background.
3) The current version of the app (that we will launch very soon) allows just one phone to interact with a set of buttons. You can use a second phone as a monitor device, say you want to make sure that your child/gramma has taken his medication. We are already now designing the Hub that will make the buttons more of a family device.
4) The buttons cannot be used for triggering functions on your phone, like Flic. The Klikkit buttons are designed to trigger actions for the owners :)
I hope the answers are sufficiently clear, please do not hesitate to ask more.
thanks
Cris

Apparently sending using the FAQ leads nowhere, so I'm asking here instead:
1. Do you ship from Denmark / the EU – since we have these insane customs fees here in Denmark?
2. Does the app need to be running - like smart locks and pre-hub flic-buttons?
3. Is the buttons one device only or can you use them in a family?
4. Can the buttons be used to trigger actions (like flic) or are the tracking-only?

Thanks for backing us, Yes
You can reposition the Klikkit button as many times as you like.
There are specially designed butterfly attachments included, so you can reassign and reattach your Klikkit as you prefer.

Dear Xander, Firstly, thanks for backing us. During our development process, we have decided to offer 1, 3 or 6 buttons in a package. Unfortunately you can only buy those amounts.

You can't edit or delete a reward level that already has a backer.
Kickstarter is not flexible in that matter.

Hi Danielle, it is Cris here.
Firstly, thanks for backing us and amazing that you were having ideas on a similar project just today :)
regarding your question. I am sorry but I dont fully get it, 3 early bird's single buttons are (marginally) more expensive than a early bird's 3 buttons combo.
Danielle Ho
Review from Kickstarter
Oh I mean within early bird itself, the average cost of each piece in the early bird 3 pcs bundle is more expensive than the early bird 1 pc and 2 pcs bundle. Shouldn't it be buy more of the same category cheaper?
The Klikkit Team
Review from Kickstarter
There are limited number of Early Bird rewards. Therefore, the Kickstarter special, and Backer special prices might add to more than the other Early Bird prices.

Hi there! Weirdly enough I was thinking about creating sth like that on my way home from work today! Hmm but why is it that it costs more when we buy more?
