Benjamin is a Bluetooth control surface for iPad that gives YouTube music lessons physical buttons, so you can loop and slow down videos without touching the screen.
- One-press looping: Press once to set the start and again to set the end, and the loop repeats until you get the part right.
- Tactile scroll wheel: The wheel moves the video by seconds, chapters, or single frames, so you land on the riff instead of overshooting it.
- 5% speed steps: YouTube slows video in 25% jumps, while Benjamin uses 5% steps. As a result, you can slow down just enough to hear a transition, then reset to full tempo with one press.
- Saved loops and playlists: Save named loops in the Benjamin app and group them with videos into playlists by song or technique. One press brings them back.
Benjamin also controls local files and Apple Music, so it suits anyone who learns songs or techniques from video.
