Canyon Predict is a prototype road bike system. It shifts cycling safety from reactive to predictive, using onboard AI and a full sensor array.
- 360-Degree Sensor Fusion: The system combines cameras, radar, and distributed sensors. These include a multi-dimensional motion sensor to eliminate blind spots and build a complete picture of the rider’s surroundings.
- Edge AI Processing: All data is processed directly on the bike, removing the need for cloud connectivity.
- Integrated Handlebar Display: A data screen built into the handlebar delivers real-time warnings about terrain, distance, surrounding traffic, and group-ride positioning.
- AR Helmet Pairing: The bike connects to the Canyon Stingr Smart helmet. It features a drop-down visor with a visual data display, bringing critical alerts directly into the rider’s line of sight.
- Adaptive Safety Hardware: In critical moments, the rider can remotely drop the seatpost to lower their center of gravity, improve stability, and reduce crash risk before impact occurs.
