Freckle Kids Phone: Overview

Freckle is a kids’ phone running ClayOS that gives children tools to explore the real world, without the endless feeds that keep them glued to a screen.

• Parent-Paced Apps: A parent app controls which apps show up on the phone. So parents can turn on new tools, like the Freckle Pay virtual Visa card, as their kid grows.
• Quests for Outdoor Play: Parents can send Quests to their kid’s Freckle, like photographing three different bugs in the backyard or collecting five sounds on a Sound Safari.
• Discoveries Log: Things kids find on these outings, from sunglasses to plants, get saved with short notes. As a result, each trip outside becomes a record of what they learned.
• Hardware Sized for Kids: The custom-built phone fits smaller hands and handles unexpected drops, so it can come along on everyday adventures.

Reserve a Freckle with a $25 deposit to get a spot in the first batch, which ships in December 2026.
