Luminyx NFS-1 Illuminated Safety Eyewear: Overview
The Luminyx NFS-1 are safety glasses with a built-in ring of LEDs that cast diffuse, even light directly where you look, nearly eliminating shadows without a headlamp or drop light.
- Shadow-Eliminating Light Ring: A soft ring of LEDs wraps the inside of the frame, sending light from all around your line of sight. Because the light surrounds your view instead of casting a single beam, it fills corners and crevices that a standard flashlight would miss.
- Hands-Free Operation: The light is controlled without using your hands, so you stay focused on the task. Wherever you turn your head, the light follows.
- User-Replaceable Batteries: The rechargeable batteries swap out when they run low, so the glasses last far longer than disposable alternatives. No need to replace the whole unit.
- ANSI Z87.1-Rated Lenses: The lenses meet ANSI Z87.1 impact standards and carry an IPX5 water and dust rating, so eye protection is never compromised for the sake of the lighting.
- Patented Design by a Lighting Expert: Invented by award-winning cinematographer Matt Wise, with 20-plus years of professional lighting experience. A U.S. patent has been issued and the industrial design is finalized.
