The Extra Normal Wall Clock is a creation by American designer Ross McBride. Unlike other artsy watches and wall clocks, this one manages to remain a clock while still paying tribute to the minimalistic sensibilities that are making watch designers run amuck these days. At first glance, it’ll appear to be a bare white dial with black hour, minute and second hands, and nothing else besides. However, a closer inspection shows there’s no hour hand. It’s actually a moving dial with a laser-cut opening for the hour hand. As the dial moves, it exposes the numbers beneath. Simply put, the hour hand shows the hour in numeric form while the rest of the dial remains pristine white and unspoiled by printed numbers.
