La Lunette Magnifying Glass is brought to you by Maison Martin Margiela.
It’s a whimsical and rather innovative take on what would otherwise be a mundane household use item – the magnifying glass.
Instead of putting it in a round frame with a handle below it like a lollipop, Maison Martin Margiela has made it look like half a pair of spectacles.
It looks like someone neatly broke a pair of spectacles down the middle with Solomon-like wisdom, and now you have one half of the baby, to be used as a magnifying glass.
For the record, Lunette is French for a small or half moon, as in a semicircular space or object. If you like this, France-based Maison Martin Margiela has a lot more radical mutations of common items used around the home.
