Ford Self-Braking Shopping Cart avoids grocery store accidents

The new Ford Self-Braking Shopping Cart design is an innovative way to avoid grocery store collisions. This self-braking trolley would have a sensor that can detect people and obstacles in front of the cart. It’s easy for a child to accidentally push a shopping cart into a display or another person. With this automatic braking shopping cart, parents would have a bit of help. Because the self-braking shopping cart can scan for items in its path, it would automatically break before hitting anything. It’s unfortunate that this automatic braking trolley is just a concept for now, as it would be a great help in grocery stores. Additionally, it would help ensure that unattended shopping carts don’t roll into any vehicles. Hopefully Ford can continue to use its Pre-Collision Assist technology to develop other useful ideas.
