Your Wine Is Guaranteed to Retain its Flavor with eto

For centuries, people have relied on the cork oak tree to keep their wine tasting fresh. The problem is, cork is breathable. Sure, it stops most of the air and whatnot from fouling your wine. But it doesn’t take long before you get that slightly stale taste. If you would prefer to drink wine at your own pace and still get that fresh flavor, you should try eto. This innovative wine decanter is proven to keep your wine fresh. It also happens to look awesome.

– Proven to keep wine perfectly fresh for at least 12 days

– More than three times as effective at stopping air than a regular bottle and cork

– Beautiful design blends stainless steel and seam-free glass

Pure Flavor

In the UK alone, people throw 624 million bottles of wine down the drain each year. The main reason for all this wastage is because wine goes stale very quickly. Unless you finish the bottle at your dinner party, oxidation quickly takes over. Within hours, that full-bodied flavor is starting to gain a bitter edge.

Many solutions have been proposed over the years, but none is as effective as eto. Thanks to an ingenious design and high-quality materials, this clever decanter keeps your wine fresh for at least 12 days. Even after two weeks, you may not notice a difference.

Scientific Wonders

It’s really difficult to keep air away from wine. If you use an airtight container, there is air trapped inside. Even a vacuum pump only removes a certain percentage of the air. To solve this mystery, eto has a system that works a bit like a French press.

Instead of slowly clearing the coffee from your drink, this plunger forces the air out of the decanter. It forms an airtight seal with the wine, rather than the container.

To back up these claims, the folks behind eto commissioned tests and scientific research. Whereas corked wine contains around 74% dissolved oxygen after 12 days, eto keeps it to around 19%. That is 1% above new-bottle freshness. Furthermore, blind taste tests with professional wine experts showed no discernible change over a 12-day period.

Consequently, eto lets you enjoy great flavor without having to neck the bottle in one go *hic*.

Beautiful Design

Part of the reason why eto is so effective is that the decanter is constructed from high-quality materials. The beautiful copper-colored horn is actually stainless steel with a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish. A regular silver version is also available.

The metal is naturally resistant to corrosion, while the coating is 10 times harder than regular stainless steel. In addition, the finish adds antimicrobial properties.

The closure is made from the same material, with the addition of injection-molded polypropylene and a silicone seal. Below, the molded silicone valve fits perfectly with the toughened seam-free glass. It’s quite something to behold.

“eto is a beautifully designed wine decanter that gives you the freedom to enjoy wine at your own pace, and never waste a drop again. Its innovative, patented preservation system uses an airtight seal to keep wine perfectly fresh for at least 12 days, as proven by independent laboratory tests and a host of expert blind taste tests.” — eto on Kickstarter.
