NOPIA Harmony Synthesizer: Overview
NOPIA is a semi-modular harmony instrument that turns chord progressions into sound in real time. It combines an onboard synth engine with full MIDI control.
- Chord Builder: A static layout represents every key as scale degrees, so you navigate harmony in one consistent framework instead of memorizing chord shapes.
- Onboard sound engine: A hybrid sample-based and virtual analog engine drives four sound modules, Keys, Bass, Arp, and Pad, without needing an external synth.
- Multitouch strumming: Capacitive touch sensors let you strum individual notes inside a chord or bend pitch chromatically with a gesture.
- Four dedicated MIDI outputs: Each module, Keys, Bass, Arp, and Pad, gets its own MIDI TRS output, so it can control external gear independently.
- Compact, real-wood build: At 41.5 x 23 x 3.5 cm, NOPIA is small enough for a backpack and durable enough for the stage.
NOPIA turns music theory into something you feel rather than study. Pre-orders open on Kickstarter September 15.
