Leaving that aside, if you start considering the materials used for making your wallet, the first name that comes to your mind is leather. IngeniousBros were very clear of the wallet they wanted to make. It should be durable, super slim and beautiful. After months of research on materials and usability, they finally came up with the CLYH Wallet.

This is a beautifully handmade wallet made out of wood and leather. The idea was to harmonize the beauty of both these materials in one wallet you can carry easily every day. CLYH is made out of aromatic wood with the soft touch of leather which makes the overall design profoundly gorgeous.

Wooden Wallets That Aren’t Breakable!

The biggest challenge of constructing this wallet was the use of wood. It is quite fragile and to create a wallet out of it was not that easy. But after months of prototyping, the IngeniusBros were finally able to come up with three different types of wood designs for CLYH. These were Bubinga, Purpleheart, and Cherry.

Bubinga is an incredibly durable wood by any measure, exceeding nearly every other wood species. Purpleheart, on the other hand, is named after the vibrant color of its wood which, when it is cut, quickly turns from a light brown to a rich purple color. To top it up is the use of vegetable tanned leather that gives the wallet its uniqueness.

Leather stitch is critical in product durability. So the team focused on giving CLYH Saddle stitch (Hand-Stitch) that is quite stronger than a machine made stitch.
