Pixel Fall Event: Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are finally here with the Tensor chip
Ready for new Pixel phones? The Google Pixel Fall Event (2021) is here. With it comes fresh announcements: introducing the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro—plus Google's brand new Tensor chip.

Today is the hugely anticipated event for fans of Google’s Pixel phones: the Pixel Fall Event (2021). So what did Google announce this morning? Well, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, of course!
The two new flagship devices are coming soon and will continue to bring their signature Android experience along with the new devices. Let’s go ahead and take a look at what Google is bringing to Pixel users with its brand new lineup.

Google Tensor chip
Google discussed its new custom Tensor chip today (replacing the previous Snapdragon 765G) and how it changes the game for its Pixel phones. It can improve voice recognition and image interpretation among other handy features like translating messages and videos without the internet. It brings massive new machine learning capabilities greater than anything we’ve seen on Pixel phones so far.

The Pixel 6
The Pixel 6 has a new dual rear camera array with a colorful bar containing a 50 MP wide lens and a 12 MP ultrawide lens. It also has an 8 MP front-facing camera.
The Pixel 6 features a 6.4-inch display with IP68 protection and Gorilla Glass, plus a 90 Hz refresh rate with Smooth Display and LTPO technology. With the new Tensor chip, the Pixel will be 80% faster than before. It also includes 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
New privacy features are here, along with a bigger adaptive 4,614 mAh battery. The phone will ship with Android 12 onboard. The Pixel 6 comes in 3 colors with polished unibody metal: Stormy Black, Kinda Coral, and Sorta Seafoam.
The Pixel 6 Pro
The Pixel 6 Pro will carry much of the same feature-set as the Pixel 6; however, there will be some additional upgrades. For example, the Pixel 6 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch display that can reach a 120 Hz refresh rate.
It will have a triple rear camera array with a 50 MP wide lens, a 48 MP telephoto lens, a 12 MP ultrawide lens, and an 11.1 MP front-facing camera. It will have 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. The battery capacity for the Pro model is 5,003 mAh.

Time for an upgrade
With the conclusion of the Pixel Fall Event, we now officially know about these latest devices from Google. Are they worth buying? That depends.
If you’re an Android fan and due for an upgrade, they couldn’t come at a better time. After all, with improved models and features, can you really ever go wrong? There’s plenty of new hardware and software to benefit from.
