It’s been quite a year for Apple and, naturally, it couldn’t have ended without an iPhone release. After numerous leaks, the new iPhone 12 lineup is finally here. Just like the leaks said, this phone is packed with great features. When we reviewed the Apple Time Flies event back in September, we thought the new Apple Watch Series 6 was the best from Apple this year. But the iPhone 12 takes it one step further.

The fact that it comes packed with the A14 Bionic Chip and 5G only makes this iPhone experience even smarter. You can not only accessorize your new iPhone 12 with cases but also make it entirely yours with your own icon packs. Isn’t that amazing? Let’s see what else this new iPhone has in store.

The new iPhone 12 has 5G

This is one of the biggest updates the iPhone series has ever had. With 5G, Apple aims to make iPhone speeds super fast as well as enhance their security and privacy.

Hans Vestburg, CEO of Verizon, said during the event, “5G just got real.”

For the first time ever, iPhones can now access 5G Ultra Wideband with Verizon. This will enable upload speeds up to 2,000 Mbps and download speeds up to 4 Gbps. It will massively reduce bottlenecks in crowded spaces as well as provide super-low latency so multiplayer gaming is as smooth as can be. Verizon plans to take 5G nationwide starting today. And, best of all, the entire lineup of new iPhones will have 5G!

iPhone 12 has a classic flat design and Super Retina XDR display

The design comes in five fantastic colors: black, white, red, green, and blue. The 6.1″ display size is 11% thinner, 15% smaller, and 16% lighter than iPhone 11, thanks to the Super Retina XDR display.

The resolution is 2x better than the iPhone 11. The cover glass on the iPhone 12 is even better than on the iPhone 11. This is now called the Ceramic Shield, which adds a high-temperature crystal design to enhance durability. So, this makes the iPhone 12 more durable than ever, four times better to be exact.

There are custom 5G antennas in the device to make it easy for network access. The iOS frameworks have also been optimized for 5G. There’s also the Smart Data Mode, which will switch your iPhone to LTE when you don’t need 5G to save battery.

A14 Bionic chip makes the new iPhone 12 even smarter than before

This new chip is the first smartphone chip built using the five-nanometer process technology. It improves both performance and efficiency. The six-core CPU in the A14 is the fastest CPU on a mobile phone. That brings about a dramatic increase in machine-learning experience.

The Night Mode comes to all cameras of the iPhone 12 series. The video also gets big improvements with Night Mode Time Lapse.

iPhone 12 gets MagSafe

MagSafe is here to improve wireless charging once and for all. The magnets in MagSafe are designed for alignment and efficiency. Therefore, the devices in the collection work seamlessly with Qi-compatible wireless chargers. All new cases and accessories for the iPhone 12 are MagSafe compatible.
