Discovered on 2018-01-08

Make your own yogurt at home without preparation or cleaning with the Yomee Automatic Yogurt Maker. This yogurt maker simplifies the process of making yogurt and only requires milk and a Yomee pod. With a six-hour duration from start to finish, a few simple stages result in fresh yogurt personalized to your liking. It also comes with a dishwasher-safe insulated cup that helps it stay cool and fresh for longer. Additionally, the innovative travel lid lets you store your favorite toppings separately until you’re ready to eat. Using the Yomee app, you can choose between several different types of yogurt. It also offers recipe ideas and tracks various stages of the process. Furthermore, pods are available in dairy and non-dairy options for everyone to enjoy. Finally, you’ll leave no plastic waste behind since Yomee pods are a combination of yogurt culture and rice starch.

Hi can backers choose a range of flavour pods in the survey please? Thank you. A. Irish.
Lecker Labs
@Alex - we are working on automating shipping logistics as far as possible. If you need more pods per month you could do so in the subscription which we will announce soon.
Alex Tangkilisan
Hi @creator would it be possible to get all of the yogurt pods up front instead of in monthly installments? I live in HK and figure it's probably easier than getting them monthly. thanks!
Lecker Labs
@Andrew pods should be kept in the fridge, we will update the FAQ
V
I can’t wait. I wish we could receive these tomorrow! I’m also curious about the pod storage.
Andrew
Your FAQ says, "Please store pods in cool, dark, dry place. Pods are shelf stable and do not need to be refrigerated." My previous question:
@Creator - In your FAQ it says the pods are okay to be stored in a shelf but I've seen comments saying they should be kept in the fridge. Which is correct? :) Your response:
@Andrew - pods have 6 months shelf life and we recommend to store in refrigerator My follow-up:
While shelf life and the concept of keeping something in a cupboard aren't the same thing, the FAQ saying refrigeration isn't necessarily and your comments saying it *is* are complete opposites. Please clarify which is correct.
Lecker Labs
@Clarence - we don’t have different size cups in the current design. It’s something we can consider in future versions

Hi, as I have a family of 3 and I read that each "cycle" prepares a serving of 2, just wondering is there a way that I can make more yogurt at one go? Is there a bigger container available?
Lecker Labs
@guy it’s not possible at this time. Once we begin scaling we can discuss various subscription options based on feedback from you and other backers.
Guy Yoselzon
@creator
Will it be possible to add 15 pod monthly tier instead of just 10 and 20 ?
Lecker Labs
@Joyce - Yes! You will be able to choose the split between vegan and dairy pods in the backerkit survey which will be sent to all backers.
Joyce Lobb
Are we able to order both vegan and dairy pods. Our family needs both. Thanks!
Lecker Labs
@CM just add $15 to your pledge amount for now. You will be able to manage the selection in the backerkit survey later
CM
Thank you for your prompt response. Now I’d like to add the extra $15 for a 2nd cup but I can’t find where to do that. Can you help?
Lecker Labs
@ Jerri - The retail price of Yomee + 80 pods will be $149 + $69. Kickstarter backers are getting first access at a huge discount.
Jerri Livingston
I pledged $148 for yomee what does $69 usd mean
Lecker Labs
@CM $149 will be the future retail price of Yomee. The pledge amounts are at the discounted Kickstarter price
CM
I backed Yomee at $148 which seemed to include 80 pods. In the details it says $149 for the Yomee + $69 for the pods. Is that$220 total then? If so, why does the pledge say $148?
Faiz Saleh Balweel
thanks !
Lecker Labs
@Faiz - Yomee will have Bluetooth connectivity and will connect to your phone when in Bluetooth range. It does not have to be connected all the time. Only when you choose to change a setting - say a different yogurt type. Out of the box, the device will be set to make Greek yogurt (which you can change in the app) and will remember your last chosen setting. You will be able to pair both your Yomee devices with one phone.
Faiz Saleh Balweel
How's the apps work. will it have to be connected all the time with a local connnection (i.e Home Wifi)?
Faiz Saleh Balweel
If I bought 2 yomee , can both yomee controlled with 1 app in 1 smartphone? or it has to have 2 app in 2 smart phone?. will it work offline mode. didn't use the app perhaps?
Lecker Labs
@jaiden we will be automating the shipping logistics as far as possible. If you use fewer pods in a certain month you can choose 10 a month or store them in the refrigerator. The pod tubes have a small footprint and won’t take up much space.
jaiden
Hi:) what I meant was if the delivery can be modified ? Example to skip a month as I haven’t finished?
Lecker Labs
@jaiden - we will ship you 10-20 pods a month. You can choose this in the backerkit survey which we will send. Pods can be stored for upto 6 months in refrigerator.
jaiden
Hi can I ask when we order the 80 pods. Must it be monthly or can we skip a month in event we haven’t finished our existing pods?:)
Lecker Labs
@Aaron - we are working on a subscription price which will include shipping. Without subscription, we expect shipping to cost $5 for 20 pods.
Lecker Labs
@Andrew - pods have 6 months shelf life and we recommend to store in refrigerator
Aaron Raikes
Hi Team, Can you let me know how much shipping will cost for additional pods to Australia once I run out of the original pods from Kickstarter? Thanks.
Andrew
@Creator - In your FAQ it says the pods are okay to be stored in a shelf but I've seen comments saying they should be kept in the fridge. Which is correct? :)
Lecker Labs
@Jaganaathan you can order more from Yomee app for iOS and Android or from YomeeYogurt.com
Jaganaathan Srinivasan
What happens after we run out of yomee pod ???
Daniel Ryll
ok done :) thx
Lecker Labs
@Daniel - each extra cup is $15. So please ad $30 to your pledge for 2 extra cups
Daniel Ryll
Hi, i want two extra cups how can i purchase them?
Lecker Labs
@Anders - There will be an android version as well.
Anders Öster
Will there be app version for Android? Just want to make sure I'm not backing and get only ios app :s
Lecker Labs
@Micheal - the lid can be screwed on top of the cup. The cup is double walled with the inside wall in glass and outside in food safe plastic. This design helps us keep the yogurt cooler for longer
Michael Snapp
How tightly does the lid fit on? Can I toss it in my pack with my lunch box or do I need to carry it and keep it upright? Also, any chance on getting the cup in glass?
Lecker Labs
@Aaron - you will be able to confirm your add-on in a Backerkit survey
Aaron Eastman
I wanted to know if there is a way to know that you consider the additional $15 as us wanting the additional cup as opposed to just an extra $15 because you seem kind of awesome. There doesn't seem to be any kind of notation to let us know that we will be receiving the extra cup.
Lecker Labs
@Anders Öster: it's better if you add $15 here, closer to the stretch goal :)
Anders Öster
Can I add an extra cup by adding $15 to my pledge? Or can I add one in Backerkit later?
Lecker Labs
@Dania: yes Diane - Yomee makes thick Greek yogurt by removing the water content from milk.
Dania
Is the texture of the yogurt going to be thick like greek yogurt?
Lecker Labs
Update on update #9 - If you want to upgrade to 80 pods with your yomee, change your pledge to “The Yomee Kit + 80 pods” - When Yomee reaches stretch goal of $200k and you pledged “The Yomee Kit + 80 pods” we will send you 80+10=90 pods - Stretch goal is exclusive Kickstarter backers and applies to funds raised on Kickstarter only - We will send you 10 or 20 pods every month, you will be able to update your preference in BackerKit - You can store the yomee pods up to 6 months, we recommend to keep them refrigerated
Lecker Labs
@Abrams: We have tested Yomee pods with lactose free milk and it makes very good yogurt.
Abrams
I had raised a question about making lactose-free yogurt and the suggestion was to use plant based milk. My problem is that I don't like soya / almond milk. One does find lactose-free dairy based yogurt in the market. Is it possible to use Yomex to make such lactose-free yogurt using full fat lactose-free (dairy based) milk.
Lecker Labs
@Jennifer That is correct
Jennifer Cheong
Thanks for responding to my question. Can I just confirm that there is no sac holding the yoghurt cultures/strains e.g. like liquid laundry detergent pods. The cultures are just compressed powder that will dissolve in milk?
