Backer 202 here. I’ve yet to receive my Bitzblade and am wondering about the status ie: has it been sent and if so, do shipping records show delivery? Sorry for bringing this to the comments section but the inquiry I sent in a private message has gone unanswered.

Almost got bit by the "spontaneous unscrewing" problem. I was helping someone move and picked up what I thought was a bit of miscellaneous metal that had fallen out of a box. On my way back to the car, I found the flashlight top of the tool. While in the sheath, it had unscrewed itself and both it and the clip that the screw holds had fallen out. Fortunately, I spotted them.

Hi... While one of the flat screwdriver bits was broken when I got my order...The only thing I can say is yall need to create another such tool, so I can buy it and back it. I have 2 of these, I wish I had gotten 2 of the kydex sheaths... I would probably carry both at the same time.
I use the flashlight, knife, and flat driver all day every day. IT saves me so many steps. Its a great tool

Tried the ball bearing adjustment as advised but only managed to scratch(or dented) the inside of the hexagon holder and the tool bit holder is still loose. Any chance of replacement?

Hey Cartuyvels - Basically that screw opposite the ball bearing needs to be removed and then you can loosen or tighten the ball bearing to make it fit to your liking. nearly all the people with this issue were able to resolve it with this fix. Here is a simple video showing you the process: https://youtu.be/i5D7kKtCiZg Any questions feel free to send a message!

Just a heads up. I've had my BB for a couple weeks, and it's awesome! Just the other day though, I pulled it out of my pocket, and discovered that the spring detent had worked it's way out, and is gone. So that sucks. Upon closer inspection, I notice that the detent did not have any kind of thread locker or anything to make sure it didn't back it's way out. Maybe that is something you should add to your production process. Any way you could point me in the right direction, to replace that detent part? Aside from that, this thing is great! Thanks for an awesome product.

Hello Channa,
I received the lanyards for my Asus's with my Blitzblade 2.0. Thanks I had problems with thew end not fitting into the tube but waited a week and saw the video you put up showing how to fix it. I can not wait for your next project. The last 3 that I have backed have made me a fan of your items. They are well built and hold up to daily use. Keep up the good work.

Received my parcel in excellent condition, sometime last week, though I haven't gone through it thoroughly yet. Thank you for accommodating my request and for promptly and patiently replying to my messages. Hopefully, the issues brought up by other backers can be sorted out and won't be much of a problem for me.

Yeah it's not fantastic guys. Got mine today. That inner ball bearing is seized in there the hardware is made of Swiss cheese. That adjustment bearing is stripped to hell now and didn't budge. I even used the bitzblade 2.0 bits you use in your video. Terrible execution on that one guys sorry to say. My bit holding tip doesn't stay in at all...

FYI, I have been unable to adjust the ball bearing to eliminate the play when the bit holder is inserted, but I don't think it will affect functionality in my case. It seems that the bit holder is still held securely enough for use.

Hey M.A., The reason we had to use a hex shape to get the tip into the body when using the bits is because bit usage requires a rotational movement so if it was attached to the BitzBlade body by means of additional threading, when you turn the tool body to screw/unscrew something you would simultaneously be screwing/unscrewing the bit receptor from the tool body.

@StatGear Thank you. Will be sending you an email shortly. But honestly speaking, if you just made the drill bit section attachable to the main body by threads instead of a inconsistent ball-bearing, it would have solved alot of problems and doubts on both side. And also, it will be fool-proof, not having backers to spend so long and wasting your precious time wondering how to handle it.

My feedback regarding the Bitzblade 2.0 is Bravo! When considering the entire experience including the amount of Creator feedback during the pledging process, the delivery, and the tool itself, I am impressed. Even the packaging is first rate. I pledged for two tools, one of each color and I am happy with both. This tool and my Leatherman Wave w/ bit set make-up a great portable set of tools that goes in my bag for work or in my car. I hear the frustration about the bit holder. I did not have this problem. That being said I wanted the bit holder to be a bit tighter than it was so used the video to make an adjustment. I also saw that the bearing would move slightly after replacing the screw head and then the bit holder would not fit into the tool body at all. I finally set the bearing so it was a little looser than I really wanted it, then the bit holder was perfect after I replaced the screw head. I will grant you that it is a bit fiddly, but does work, at least for me. YMMV. The sheath and bit holder is very good as well. Nicely design and seems to work well. I also have the Kydex sheath and it secures the Bitzblade nicely and leaves the tools completely accessible. There is no bit storage, but I am experimenting with ways to attach the small bit sheath to the Kydex with a loop of paracord. I would help if the bit sheath had a metal grommet in the corner because then I could attach it with a small carabiner or piece of paracord. I may try that myself. I also think a set of instructions might help. It doesn't have to be extensive, mainly illustrations of the various parts of the tool and how the light works, etc. I figured it all out, but somethings were not completely intuitive. I don't want my suggestions to take away from my overall satisfaction with the tools and Statgear. Everything can be improved. I also bought into the Ausus knife and I also think it has a good value proposition. I hope all the backers ultimately enjoy using their Bitzblades.

Hey Andrew and MA - We always appreciate constructive feedback to help improve any quality or design issues. That being said, we have heard from a number of people with this issue and nearly all were able to rectify the fit with the slight ball bearing screw adjustment. If yours couldn't be fixed that way please send me an email to Avi@statgeartools.com and I'll make sure we get the issues resolved in a way where you're satisfied with the end result. Thanks!

Further update.
I have now spent over an hour doing micro adjustments and it still doesn’t fit right.
Super frustrating...
I also noticed it must not be centred correctly as it changes fit depending on which rotation you happen to be on when inserting.
I have given up...
Love the concept but not happy with the product as I now have an expensive window breaker.

I have to agree with others that there is not much improvement and the design is not working as intended.
In other words, I do not trust the tool as I was hoping the bits would hold much better then it does.
Looks like the previous model has a better design in that regard.
Thanks
Andrew

and trust me when i tried to find the sweet spot but adjusting the ball bearing in any tiny turn i could, still can't hold. Honestly speaking, if it is so much trouble just to get something adjusted, it kinda defeats the functional purpose of a multi tool, not forgetting having to be worried about that bit falling off.

Review from Kickstarter
HI there, Tried it, and not much of a difference. It just stays there with slightly a little more grip. it still comes off with a flick, jab or impact. Even then when did put back on the screw, it seemed to have pushed the ball bearing a little out that the whole piece can't enter the section anymore, so I had to take it out, take the screw off and adjust the ball-bearing, which rings it back to square one. Still would have been better if you simply did screw down threads for us, so we do not need to fiddle with screws, ball bearings and adjustments.

I will attempt to rectify as per the video provided & reserve judgment until then. Cheers,

Hey M.A.,
We've had a few messages about the tip being either too loose or too tight when trying to fit the window punch end into the body in order to use the bit holder. Basically that screw opposite the ball bearing needs to be removed and then you can loosen or tighten the ball bearing to make it fit to your liking. nearly all the people with this issue were able to resolve it with this fix. Here is a simple video showing you the process: https://youtu.be/i5D7kKtCiZg Any issues after checking out the video feel free to shoot us a message and we'll troubleshoot! Any questions or issues with the kydex sheath please send an email to the custom kydex maker Jeff@justholsterit.com and he'll make it right!

Holster had a nice feel to it, but the holder was tilted (molded badly) so whenever I place the bitzblade into the holster it ends up tilted. Bad job there. And as some backers have already mentioned, when I flipped the tungsten tip over to use the bit tools, it does not hold well and ends up falling off with any slight shake or impact. It would have been better if it was a screw in variant instead of just flipping it and hoping it does not fall out. Another bad job there. Everything else is good, but it definitely is NOT “the last multi tool I will ever need”. Total bull. Looks like I am gonna head back to using my leather mans and boker multitools. Next time before you go all high and mighty on us, just make sure there is some thought and quality control(for the holster) into the item.
