Wish I could afford these, Anything I love, I can’t have, Life, geez. I don’t have headphones and these I really love!

hello@thegadgetflow.com

Haha! That’s the case with most of us we think ;)

susiechoo
@Drew - Haha thanks anyway! :) I guess i could always ask them personally next tuesday!
Drew Furney
...Well, maybe not everything. Sorry, Re-read your comment and realized it isn't answered there. :D
Drew Furney
@susiechoo - Everything you're looking for is right here: https://help.nuraphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001922553-Connecting-

Woke up this morning to see the email from nura in my inbox, excited as hell thinking it was the shipping email. :( lol

Hey guys, can someone clarify how the charging of the nuraphones work? When i'm reading the passage from the site (pasted below) it sounds like the statements contradict each other...
- After reading the second sentence, does it mean that because my Android phone uses USB-C, it will take power or charge from my phone?
- If I connect my nuraphone (battery is dead), does that mean the heaphones worn't work unless I set it up for pass-through charging. (I'm curious why they don't mention that on the site but it is in the FAQ). From their site: You can charge your nuraphones by simply plugging them into a wall charger or
computer using the included USB-A or a USB-C cable.

To prevent the nuraphone from draining the battery of your mobile device the micro-USB
and Lightning cables do not power or charge your nuraphones.

Your nuraphone is powered from the battery in Bluetooth mode and in wired modes using
analog, USB-C (when plugged into a phone), micro-USB and Lightning cables. On another note, if we connect via the headphone jack, the nura experience wouldn't be as great right - and we shouldn't set our nura up with standard analog? I quote "nura headphones can connect via standard analog, but work better with a digital connection"
Alan Gordon
The last comment about shipping dates was: "it’s with a lot of pride to report that we are still on track for mass production and shipping late September! We are carefully monitoring everything, but at this stage we have no reason to expect any further delay."
That was on 1 September. Now they are strangely quiet about 2 things: the real shipping date and how good is the finished product. For me, everything else they say at the moment is fluff.
The reviews show there is good and bad, so I think we end up with something reasonable, hopefully before Christmas, and the really nice headphones will be Nuraphone#2.
This is my first comment and I have been really patient up until now, but I find it quite insulting that they are updating us on everything except what we really want to know. On 2 October they said "We are preparing a full update that will go out very soon." Their latest comment doesn't mention this.
Guys - please stop with all the 'fluff' updates and focus on what we really want to be updated on.
Justin
Nura, Great that you are putting on a launch/demo party and I have ‘tickets’ for the London gig and I hope to see you there. You have organised a ticketing system, but...’Please note: your ticket and RSVP does not guarantee you entry’...really?! We don’t all live on the doorstep of the venue and will have to travel to get there etc, but despite having ‘tickets’ in my Apple Wallet I might not get entry unless I queue up early? I know you would want to over subscribe as a proportion of people won’t turn up, but can’t you organise for all those that have tickets get in before 1900 and after this time it will be a first come first serve basis? Or something similar?
Jeffrey Kang
And they left out Singapore too.. Guess not many of my countrymen pledged for the headphone. :-/
T. P.
@Marc sadly they skipped AmsterDam(ned)!
Dean Hassan
So now all signed up for the launch party. Just need a pair of Nura headphones to take to it
Dunan
@Drew I personally don't know if the proprietary cable was ever addressed. I actually hope there's some sort of locking mechanism with the cable going into the headset, I have a tendency to snag it gently on things around me by accident.
Drew Furney
Hey, folks! Apologies if this was addressed elsewhere, but it would be a PITA to go searching through the entire comments section. Do we know why Nura decided to go with a proprietary cable end? Was it for the continual revenue of accessory cables, or is there some hardware reason for it?
Karl Weinmayer
@Nura it would be great if you could tell us how many backer nuras have already been shipped.
Headphone junkie
I'd like to see feedback on many of the comments re the issues with the headset, such as not turning off when taken off. Would just like to see acceptance of this and a comment re firmware or something. That's the thing with reviews, there will be good and bad, need to accept both and fix what you can!
Marc Scheepers
Let us know what it was!
jacatra
Yeah - it may be a false alarm as I’m also waiting for a camera lens from Hong Kong. Like the rest of you, I have been scrutinising my mail inbox everyday waiting for the email from FedEx!
Marc Scheepers
@jacatra congratulations! I remember the update talked about FedEx shipping but I hope it's your Nura too!
jacatra
I’m a backer in Adelaide, Australia. I received a text message from DHL, advising a delivery from Hong Kong. It may be my Nura! The estimated date for delivery is this Thursday - I have opted to pick it up instead. Woohoo.
Graham Triggs
@Thierry Leblanc We don't need much in the way of updates, but it would be nice to see where the shipping process is at. Some websites have received units and posted reviews, but so far I've not seen any Kickstarter backer confirm that they've received a shipping notification (or delivery).
Nura
Hello all, just a very quick note to say that we definitely intend on returning to our regular round-up soon (next couple of weeks)! We know it is a hard wait. We have been building out our own customer support system via our website, and have been overrun with enquiries over the past couple of weeks. It has been tremendously exciting but also busy time for us. Appreciate your understanding as we pull all this together :) The KS comments board is going to be a great place to discuss the nuraphone and share your experience! We would also love to engage with you via social media channels and in person. @Deebee’s suggestion of an unboxing competition sounds great! Over the next few weeks we will be holding a bunch of demo parties around the world and we can’t wait to meet some of you. Most importantly - we haven’t forgotten about you! You are our top priority. For shipping and order enquiries it is best to contact us directly on info@nuraphone.com. We have a team of people who can answer all your questions. Have a great week everyone and speak soon
Team nura
Marc Scheepers
Yeah, I feel that especially now is the time to communicate. But I know myself and I'm just really bad at waiting haha. @Kenneth, hey, you should go and ask them! A few months ago they said they would have an Amsterdam event, but that has been deleted of the eventbrite website.
Kenneth Mark
Curious as to if anyone is going to the San Francisco launch/demo event they're holding tomorrow? https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/nuraphone-demo-party-san-francisco-tickets-37381157047
Miker
Credits happen after the payoff. The payoff is headphones in hand (or on ears). When we're all posting how happy or unhappy we are with the final product... those are the credits.
Dunan
I personally would still like some communication since they've been doing it at least weekly since the start. After all we did get them help them on their way to being what it is now. Not too much to stop by and devote just a teeny wee bit of time to us instead of filling orders all the way up till the end of the year? I also more liken the analogy to the end of a tight sports game and someone turns off the tv leaving the last minute out not knowing what's happened at the end.
Thierry Leblanc
From my point of view, the movie has ended. We are in the credits now. Just a shipping formality. Nothing unheard of and thrilling like the whole process to get there. It's just my opinion though... everyone has the right to speak their mind :-)
Miker
Same could be said about the entire process. Kickstarter should have a special section for them -- give us your money and maybe two years later you'll get a surprise in the mail. Also, "come with us on this journey" is a little less enticing when they stop communicating just as mass production starts. Do you like watching the end of movies or the 9th inning of baseball games?
Thierry Leblanc
@Everyone. Do you really need an update that much? If you have a specific question, send them an email via support. It's obvious that they are all busy with the kick off. Updates are nice to have but not essential at this point. They already committed to ship all backers in October. So... please breathe and let them try to fulfill their October shipping goal. There is a fine line between wanting to be informed and just satisfy insecurities ;) I don't mean to be rude but just let them do their job :P Peace !
Dunan
@Nura We'd still like weekly updates please, especially on the status of shipments or when they will commence.
Erick Henriquez
Update? :(
Deebee
Maybe the update will be later this month! Sorry, couldn't resist. I hope the reason for the update drought is because they're full on in the delivery and fulfillment process; that's what I like to think. If an update does come up, I think a run rate for fulfillment and delivery is something I'd like to see. In terms of promotion when we get the product, I think it would be good for Nura to run a competition for something like the 'best five backer stories' and product unboxing video. These could be uploaded to Nura and they can publish the best five on their Youtube channel. They prize would be a new pair or Nuraphones for the best five received. I was thinking about this when I saw some of the reviews online in Youtube. No names, but the static shots with a robotic voice are...not the best I've ever seen.
Marc Scheepers
You're right. Just hoping
Miker
The last real update on here was 8/28... not gonna happen.
Marc Scheepers
They have been later with their updates some times. Let's give it a few more hours. I really hope they give us some kind of update soon
Miker
I think I've given up on a return to updates on this board, or any info beyond "this month"...
Marc Scheepers
It has come to a point that every time I get a notification for an email I hope it's from Fedex. I'm being brainwashed / conditioned / enslaved. Send help...
Bhavik Shah
If there was a stretch goal for how many times we refresh our emails, we all would have landed something :)
Dunan
Indox, check. Junk folder, check. Refresh...*click click click* Nothing :(
Kartikeya Jha
@Deebee :P
My ailment is a little better. But I understand the itch. Hopefully soon. Soon enough. :)
Deebee
No FedEx tracking number yet, but I haven't checked my email for at least 5 seconds so just let me...nope... ;)
Jeffrey Kang
@Karl, we can only cross our fingers! Anyone from UK getting their FedEx tracking numbers yet? (looking @ Deebee with a grin)
Jeffrey Kang
All these reviews are just making me place more trust in the product. Period! By the way do check out the Nura Headphone support page thoroughly lest you guys are caught by surprise on how it works or not work. I must say that I've discovered somethings about it which I hadn't realised about the product before: https://help.nuraphone.com/hc/en-us/categories/115000215327-nuraphone Hopefully you won't be caught off guard when it arrives.
Deebee
That particular reviewer is in the UK - the about page has a .co.uk address and the accent also gives it away a bit. I thought it was a good ‘unboxing’ video, looking forward to him doing a more in depth review. @jeffrey kang - I think your prediction will be totally correct. It’s just a matter of sitting tight for the final stretch, although the return of the weekly comment roundup by Nura as Miker suggested would be welcomed. But like everyone else I can’t wait :)
Karl Weinmayer
Oh no I wasn't complaining, just sparking some hope that they have started shipping hehe
Miker
He has a good number of followers... probably got a review model.
Jeffrey Kang
@Marc, LOL yes i know what you mean cos I'm also very excited!
Jeffrey Kang
@Karl, maybe he resides in Australia? So it's easy for him to drop by the HQ and pay for a review set? I don't know to be honest. Only the Nura team can answer you.
Marc Scheepers
@jeffrey Kang. Spoken like a king! Sorry bad joke. But you are right. As I said I just think it is the excitement talking for most of us, so everything will be fine in the end.
Karl Weinmayer
So this guy got them sent over. He must be one of us right?@ hopefully :) https://youtu.be/yzWgid8a9VE
Jeffrey Kang
By the way, I am going to predict this: When the headphones start to ship, many of us will come in here and compare shipping details or the lack of it. Then more will come in and complain and make the rest of us who doesn't have the tracking number more anxious. I just want to say that it's going to happen and it's common in most projects I pledged. Just saying and just a heads up... Haha! So just stay cool and focus on your present life. Don't be stressed over it. When the dust settles and that the Nura is over your head, you won't even remember all the fuss and stress about it...
Jeffrey Kang
@Miker, me too. I'm constantly checking my emails everyday frequently just to see if I get the FedEx email! But it's the last stretch now, and I'm sure that, more than anyone else, the team is even more anxious to get the product out in October to us. They would want our feedbacks, more good than bad, regarding the Nura headphones so that the team can attract more customers. So I would say just rest easy. This project has been one of the better managed ones compared to the many I've pledged in Kickstarter. The Dash Bluetooth earphones took TWO YEARS to reach me from the end of the pledge to it being delivered to me, not to mention that there are also some projects which didn't even arrive at my doorstep or were horribly produced in the end. So yah, rest easy. This project has my full trust. I just can't wait to receive the headphones because of the reviews had said about it that's all. Hah!
