Zing Smart AI Night Light

Introducing the Zing Smart AI Night Light, a smart path lighting system for your home. Individually, each Zing is an awesome, full-color LED night light that plugs directly into your outlet to give you tons of convenient features. These include smartphone control, light effects and blue light reduction — which helps your body ready itself for sleep. It also keeps you from becoming too alert during late night trips to the bathroom. The billions of color options are just the tip of the iceberg. Zing can act as a visual indicator for incoming calls and other smartphone events. When used together as a system, multiple Zing lights learn and automatically illuminate your path without the need for manual configuration. Conversely, Zing can notify you of unusual and suspicious motion activities via push notifications on your phone.

I sent you private messages, you never answered me !!!!
I WANT TO BE PAID BACK
Blair Jackson
Thank you for the update, can’t wait to get them.
eKU クー
good news with last update, thanks.
Scott Mohnkern
Glad to hear you are back, and looking forward to the update
Daniel Wang // TEAM ZING
@everyone, just got back to the states a few days ago. update coming soon. it's good.
Scott Mohnkern
agreed, it is time for an update
shannon burnett
Website now looks a little suspicious
Sean Rawles
So here’s my thing: you NEED to communicate your intentions, because it seems like the project has shifted and the home site is about a different thing altogether now. A lot of us are getting pretty frustrated and with good reason. You NEED to communicate an actual delivery schedule on the rewards we were promised. Saying silent doesn’t help ANYONE. Please.
Bobby J
Agreed. Time for an update...
Sean Rawles
Yes. It’s time for an update.
Scott Mohnkern
Time for an update ?
Adam
So it's been two weeks since the last update where you said that testing would be completed in 1.5 weeks. Was testing successful?
Cafer Korkmaz
Will there be IFTTT support right after the delivery?
Scott Mohnkern
Finally got an update! No delivery dates and more cents to pass. But at least we are getting updates.
Eugene U
Could you refund me? Backer No. 445.
Scott Mohnkern
@Valentin - given there are no guarantees of delivery with Kickstarter, a threat of lawsuit is pointless. But Creators, an update with revised timetables is overdue
Valentin Bonneau
Pay me back or I will sue you.
It is not negotiable.
Sean Rawles
@bobby J - apparently it’s email them.
Sean Rawles
Did you receive my email about an address change? For the love of god, communicate.
Bobby J
Many backers are patiently waiting to receive their rewards. Since this campaign is long overdue, some backers are MOVING! I'm one of them. What mechanism will you put in place to update shipping addresses?
Valentin Bonneau
I would like to be reimbursed, the project is more than 5 months late.
Zak Swigert
Sent a message about moving within the month.
Scott Mohnkern
Interestingly their update was a couple hours after filing a complaint.
Scott Mohnkern
@shannon. I’ve backed well over 100 projects. At a minimum reporting them will cause Kickstarter to contact them and ask them to communicate better.
shannon burnett
@scott they just posted any update and a regular Kickstarter backer knows reporting a project does nothing, Kickstarter does not care. Give them a chance, unlike most they have been very honest and forthcoming about their difficulties.
Shannon Wiseman
In the UPDATES section they posted an update showing in June or July shipments will take place
Scott Mohnkern
With much regret, I elected to report this project to Kickstarter. It’s five months overdue, and communication has been spotty. When they do communicate it’s been ok to good, but the frequency has been deplorable.
Bravo Kilo
They "guaranteed" delivery by Christmas so I would have thought most of the issues would have been worked out or else they just LIED about delivery for Christmas.
Scott Mohnkern
Two weeks. Time for an update?
Quentin
Keep the informative updates coming. Hearing in detail the successes and trials to your goal keeps us engaged in the process. I like to support those that give great updates and so far your a step above all others I’ve supported. Good work, can’t wait to have the finished product in hand.
Scott Mohnkern
Has anyone seen the lights being demoed in Target at San Francisco?
Erik
Hi, I have not yet received my reward..
jerry
Hopefully others feel the same way I do. The wait is worth it for the best product output. Has it been delayed multiple times? Sure. Is there a point to rush the product early? No. Anyone who is impatient needs to relax. The team has done nothing but keep us constantly updated through everything and this is a great sign of leadership. Go team!
Todd Haynes
Excellent Update. I have electronics in my home now that fail and when I take them apart I see the dreaded dark section where you can tell they just shoved crap inside of it to get it to market for profit and it either operated at too high a frequency or as you mentioned the electric current had spikes which eventually degrade the material and it fails. The fact that you are going through this effort encourages me that you are not just trying to make off with everyone's monies but are working to supply a quality product. Kudos to your team. Excited for the next update.
J.O.
Keep up the good work, gents! A few more weeks to get things perfect don't bother me a bit.
Sean Rawles
Seems now you’re going back to the drawing board. That’s s SERIOUS delay.
William
You just make every delay (over 4 months) is almost a random issue and now, with 4 months
of delay you're still haven't solve the problem. I'm speaking as a consumer, I no longer feel I want to be called supporter, I wish you were decent enough to acknowledge you offered something you had in your wildest dreams but you weren't nearly ready to make this happens. Unfortunately we all believed in you and we've been disappointed month after month. Can I get my money back? I actually want my money back guys. Please reply and DO NOT QUIT YOUR DAY JOB, entrepreneurship doesn't seem to be your cup of tea.
Bernard PS
any update on my order?
Sean Rawles
Hey I need to change my address. Please let me know how to do that. Thank you.
Rod Trevino
No product will be perfect, but I do agree a great product is important. What I think happens here is I’m seeing prototype development back in 2016. And parts of 2017. And we are reading about issues that should have been identified much earlier in the process. At the risk of putting them on the spot, they could say six month window before we start shipping. Dec 2018. Etc. I don’t need to know their precise timeline. But I think we all want info on ship dates so we can keep them accountable to us. Not just nebulous coming soon when we figure it out. And hey, I get this isn’t easy. But when you take our money, not easy becomes their problem. 😕
mrjk
Good projects take (a lot of) time to be built, so guys please do not rush to much the creators, I've been disappointed by rushed projects by the past. Creators, take the time you need to build the product that will fit your and our expectation :) (Schedule is not part of my expectations, but good communication and perfect product is)
Rod Trevino
This is a project. Terms like lack of urgency and the things I read in the update are more a reflection of leadership than of the team. Each project is an independent event. Because others have gone well does not mean this one will. I think this project has blown its timeline and it’s cushion time. And I’m a PM. That being said, the most recent communication was a start. But as it was pointed out, there are no revised timelines. No tentative ship dates. No penalties incurred to manufacturing that could be converted to discounts for consumers. Extra features are nice, but having the product would be nicer. Jordan, to my knowledge, never blamed Grant or Pippen or Kerr for a bad night. He owned it and did a better job. Bottom line, you all need to sort it and do better.
William
Good update guys but you forgot the main questions from your backers: when will you begin the shipments? This sounds awfully informal as you just keep detailing problems you have not solved yet bug nothing about the enormous delay on the delivery date.
I would appreciate you to address this: when will you ship our Zings?
florencio salamorin
Whats going on? Any update
Bobby J
Anxiously awaiting the (somewhat overdue?) update.
Scott Mohnkern
I look forward to the update
Daniel Wang // TEAM ZING
hey guys, a concerned backer reached out and pinged us by email just now... so, sorry for the lack of updates. I actually did not realize it's been over 3 weeks since the last one. We are getting ready for another trip to Shanghai, hopefully the last one before shipping starts. I'll have a full update tomorrow before we leave.
eKU クー
any update?
Sean Rawles
So I too realize that there has been delays but it is getting a bit long in the tooth here. Many like myself are anxious because our pledges weren’t exactly small. Do you have ANY updates as to when we will actually see our pledge rewards?
Scott Mohnkern
@Rod - Nicely phrased. Delays in production are understandable, but lack of communication is not. When a project becomes delayed, transparency becomes critical.
