Zing Smart AI Night Light

So here’s my thing: you NEED to communicate your intentions, because it seems like the project has shifted and the home site is about a different thing altogether now. A lot of us are getting pretty frustrated and with good reason. You NEED to communicate an actual delivery schedule on the rewards we were promised. Saying silent doesn’t help ANYONE. Please.

@shannon. I’ve backed well over 100 projects. At a minimum reporting them will cause Kickstarter to contact them and ask them to communicate better.

@scott they just posted any update and a regular Kickstarter backer knows reporting a project does nothing, Kickstarter does not care. Give them a chance, unlike most they have been very honest and forthcoming about their difficulties.

With much regret, I elected to report this project to Kickstarter. It’s five months overdue, and communication has been spotty. When they do communicate it’s been ok to good, but the frequency has been deplorable.

They "guaranteed" delivery by Christmas so I would have thought most of the issues would have been worked out or else they just LIED about delivery for Christmas.

Hopefully others feel the same way I do. The wait is worth it for the best product output. Has it been delayed multiple times? Sure. Is there a point to rush the product early? No. Anyone who is impatient needs to relax. The team has done nothing but keep us constantly updated through everything and this is a great sign of leadership. Go team!

Excellent Update. I have electronics in my home now that fail and when I take them apart I see the dreaded dark section where you can tell they just shoved crap inside of it to get it to market for profit and it either operated at too high a frequency or as you mentioned the electric current had spikes which eventually degrade the material and it fails. The fact that you are going through this effort encourages me that you are not just trying to make off with everyone's monies but are working to supply a quality product. Kudos to your team. Excited for the next update.

Seems now you’re going back to the drawing board. That’s s SERIOUS delay.
You just make every delay (over 4 months) is almost a random issue and now, with 4 months
of delay you're still haven't solve the problem. I'm speaking as a consumer, I no longer feel I want to be called supporter, I wish you were decent enough to acknowledge you offered something you had in your wildest dreams but you weren't nearly ready to make this happens. Unfortunately we all believed in you and we've been disappointed month after month. Can I get my money back? I actually want my money back guys. Please reply and DO NOT QUIT YOUR DAY JOB, entrepreneurship doesn't seem to be your cup of tea.

No product will be perfect, but I do agree a great product is important. What I think happens here is I’m seeing prototype development back in 2016. And parts of 2017. And we are reading about issues that should have been identified much earlier in the process. At the risk of putting them on the spot, they could say six month window before we start shipping. Dec 2018. Etc. I don’t need to know their precise timeline. But I think we all want info on ship dates so we can keep them accountable to us. Not just nebulous coming soon when we figure it out. And hey, I get this isn’t easy. But when you take our money, not easy becomes their problem. 😕
Good projects take (a lot of) time to be built, so guys please do not rush to much the creators, I've been disappointed by rushed projects by the past. Creators, take the time you need to build the product that will fit your and our expectation :) (Schedule is not part of my expectations, but good communication and perfect product is)

This is a project. Terms like lack of urgency and the things I read in the update are more a reflection of leadership than of the team. Each project is an independent event. Because others have gone well does not mean this one will. I think this project has blown its timeline and it’s cushion time. And I’m a PM. That being said, the most recent communication was a start. But as it was pointed out, there are no revised timelines. No tentative ship dates. No penalties incurred to manufacturing that could be converted to discounts for consumers. Extra features are nice, but having the product would be nicer. Jordan, to my knowledge, never blamed Grant or Pippen or Kerr for a bad night. He owned it and did a better job. Bottom line, you all need to sort it and do better.
Good update guys but you forgot the main questions from your backers: when will you begin the shipments? This sounds awfully informal as you just keep detailing problems you have not solved yet bug nothing about the enormous delay on the delivery date.
I would appreciate you to address this: when will you ship our Zings?

hey guys, a concerned backer reached out and pinged us by email just now... so, sorry for the lack of updates. I actually did not realize it's been over 3 weeks since the last one. We are getting ready for another trip to Shanghai, hopefully the last one before shipping starts. I'll have a full update tomorrow before we leave.

So I too realize that there has been delays but it is getting a bit long in the tooth here. Many like myself are anxious because our pledges weren’t exactly small. Do you have ANY updates as to when we will actually see our pledge rewards?

@Rod - Nicely phrased. Delays in production are understandable, but lack of communication is not. When a project becomes delayed, transparency becomes critical.
