How to Draw Expert Gradations with the Chameleon Kidz Blendy Pens

Kids have long enjoyed these calming effects, and felt-tip artistry is the perfect gateway to free-form painting and illustration later in life. The Chameleon Kids Blendy Pens allow little artists to blend colors in beautiful gradations. This allows your kids to be more creative while they learn about art technique.

Education is not just about words and numbers. It’s about giving your child the mental skills they will need in life. You can’t teach someone how to be creative or adaptable when they reach college. But you can encourage your kids to use their imagination while they’re still young.

The Blendy Pens from Chameleon Kidz are all about creative education. Instead of being restricted by uniform colors, your kids can draw with any shade their little hearts desire. In addition, the pens come with workbooks and posters that help budding Picassos and Rembrandts to hone their skills.

The Chameleon name might be familiar to folks with a creative background. These pens offer seamless gradations and color mixing for adult artists. The Blendy Pens offer all the same features in a kid-friendly package. More specifically, these pens use washable ink — so errant pen strokes won’t ruin the furniture.

Color at Work

Along with the 24 colors in each pack of Blendy Pens, your kids can create a rainbow of different shades. To start blending colors, you simply place two pens nib-to-nib in one of the supplied fusion chambers.

The pen below quickly soaks up a little color from the pen above. After a few seconds, you’re ready to start drawing with your new color. The pen gradually returns to its original color, so you get a beautiful transition. If you would prefer to keep the new color, you can easily fuse the two pens again.

To create gradations with an existing color, you need one of the supplied Blender Pens. This temporarily bleaches your chosen color, so it appears white. Once again, the pen gradually returns to its original color as you draw. This produces the perfect gradient for mimicking sunsets and glossy surfaces.

To keep your kids busy, the pens come with lots of designs to color in. The workbook actually teaches your child how to draw and color familiar items. It’s the perfect way to start a life-long passion for art.
