QuietSleep SmartMask is Your Best Way Out of Snoring

If you think snoring is not a serious issue in your life, you’ve got the duvet pulled over your eyes. Based on recent statistics, snoring affects 90 million American adults and is one of the major issues for sleep deprivation across the world. We’ve grown up with the fact that a sound sleep is the best sleep you can ever have. But it is not the right way to get there. In fact, it can affect your personal health and your relationship at the same time. According to a recent survey, “two thirds of all partnered adults say that their partner snores. When asked individually whether they snore or not, people responded with “yes” at a rate of 6 out of 10, or 59 percent.” So, you can understand that snoring is a global health hazard every individual must take care of. But, how do you do that?

While we try our own ways of combating this problem (yeah, that refers to throwing your partner out of bed sometimes!), snoring cannot be stopped without following a proper methodology. That’s where QuietLife SmartMask comes into place. This is a unique sleep mask with anti-snoring technology. Yes, we are finally entering the “silent zone” of sleep where there’s no snoring whatsoever!

So, what does this mask do?

This smart mask is made to handle the snoring issue in a more comfortable way. To put it other words, you don’t have to wear something you’ve never worn before. They’ve just merged a simple everyday item into a more powerful solution to combat snoring once and for all. You get to wear a sleep mask just like you do every day but this time, you’ll get to remove snoring from your life by doing so. Isn’t that a fantastic deal?

Why do we snore at all?

Before we get into the details of how this mask works, let’s just figure out the reason behind snoring in the first place. Snoring doesn’t come to you just by chance. It happens when air cannot move between your throat and nose while you are asleep. Now to have a narrow airway passage while you sleep is quite normal to be honest. But sometimes when that becomes narrow than expected, snoring gives you and your partner an unwanted visit. There are many possibilities of why you snore. It can be because of your age or certain health (you snore when you have cold and so on) or even because of your sleeping position. Nevertheless, you can always fight it out by opting for a healthier lifestyle. The QuietLife SmartMask just makes sure to help you head along that way.

SmartPatch to SmartMask

This is not the first time QuietLife technologies came up with an anti-snoring solution. Their first device was a SmartPatch you had to attach to your nose to stop snoring. But it was difficult for their customers to accept such a new design in their everyday life. If you ask me, it would have been difficult for me to use that kind of a design when I am sleeping on the go. However, a sleep mask seems like a far better solution to accept. You can wear it anywhere you go and not feel uncomfortable doing so. That’s what makes me want to use one of them. Not that I snore too much but with age, things will be required in your life and there’s nothing better if it comes in a form that’s not too different from what you use every day. The QuietLife SmartMask just makes that dream come true.

How does it work?

Coming to the technology behind this product, let’s get back to the physics of sound waves. According to the team, “this device utilizes patented Active Noise Cancellation technology (ANC), which senses the snoring sound and emits a counter sound, to cancel the undesirable one.” Every sound we hear is characterized by pressure waves. These waves have dedicated amplitude and frequencies. What a noise-cancellation device like this SmartMask does is simple. It emits a sound wave with the same amplitude but at an inverted phase to the original sound. So the original wave and the counter-wave effectively cancel each other out. The result is no snoring noise (in this case!).

Can it help those with sleep apnea?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. SmartMask is more a device that will quiet snoring noise. The QuietLife team says that in the U.S, out of the 90 million snore who snore, about 1/3 does so without any medical condition. SmartMask is designed to serve that crowd. If you have sleep apnea or any medical condition that leads to snoring, you cannot stop it with this mask. But if you are going through just a snoring issue with your partner, this is the sleep mask you must go for. The key to a better night’s sleep is here.
