TeeBags Brings Golfing Fun to Tailgating

TeeBags Brings Golfing Fun to Tailgating

For more than a century, one lawn game has ruled them all. You may know it as cornhole or bean bag toss; you may use house rules or stick with tradition. Either way, the game of throwing bean-filled sacks into holes on a wooden board is weirdly addictive. Tailgating just wouldn’t be the same without it, and the same goes for backyard BBQs. But what if you could combine this game with golf? Two enterprising dudes had this idea and called it TeeBags. Welcome to a whole new level of fun.

– Fits over your existing corn board, or prop it up with beer bottles!

– Supplied pitching mat lets you flight your ball from any surface

– Play with friends in your backyard, at the beach, or while tailgating

Golfing Fun Galore

When the bean bags come out at any event, your best friends can suddenly become arch nemeses. This game of skill is all about bragging rights, and perhaps an occasional wager. The most serious players will take account of the wind and underfoot conditions. The rest of us just lob our bags towards the board and cross our fingers.

All the same fun is possible with TeeBags. The difference is, you’re relying on your golf swing to scoop the prize. The set works with your existing corn board, simply hooking over the top. You also get a tee mat, providing the perfect fluffy fairway from which to hit your drives.

It adds a new dimension to the traditional game, while helping you lower your handicap. That’s a combination we can see being really popular.

Own the Tailgate

For those unfamiliar with cornhole, the game is pretty simple. Each person throws their beanbags at the board from around 30 feet away. You score one point if your bag stays on the sloping board, and three points for getting your bag in the hole.

Likewise, you play TeeBags by chipping balls towards the specially-designed board. You tee off from the supplied mat, which works on any flat surface. The quality is impressive, matching the mats you find on driving ranges. It’s also heavy enough to stay grounded in windy conditions.

Your ball flies or bobbles towards the board, where it meets synthetic grass. In front of the hole, longer blades prevent your ball from simply rolling away. The top has short grass, like a real golf green. As always, getting a hole in one is the name of the game.

How you score is up to you. You can use traditional cornhole scoring, or opt for stroke play. Folks with an adventurous streak might suggest skins, or you could try darts-style 101.

However you play, this game is sure to improve your tailgate or backyard BBQ. And even if you don’t own a regular corn board, you can prop up the TeeBags board with two beer bottles!

“We’ve taken our love for golf, and our enjoyment for cornhole — ‘bags’, as it’s known in the Midwest — and brought them together. TeeBags is the only product that fits on top of any cornhole board and transforms it into the most epic golf challenge ever. The best part? The game was designed to keep the foundations of cornhole intact, so the balls sit on the turf the same way the bags stay on the board.” — TeeBags on Kickstarter
