Introducing the ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate—a phone that's designed with gaming in mind. Crafted with powerful features, it'll take your gaming experience to new heights.
ASUS is expanding its range of tech with the highly anticipated ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. This gaming phone sports a responsive 144 Hz / 1 ms display and provides a smooth 3D gaming experience. Not to mention that you can use the phone itself as a controller.
Explore some of the highlights of the latest ASUS phone in today’s article.
Takes mobile processing power to another level
This ASUS phone sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform. And with a 35% increase in rendering performance, it can showcase even the most demanding 3D games while offering a smooth running experience—even on maxed-out settings. And with multiple system profiles, you have more control over performance settings and tuning tools.
In addition, the Ultimate features a monster 6,000 mAh battery with a 65-watt HyperCharge adapter. Therefore, you can receive an entire day’s use after one charging session. The battery separates into two to keep hotspots away from the grip area for maximum comfort while gaming.
Use the phone as a controller
Avid gamers will love the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. It features Motion Control, which lets you move and control the game by adjusting your phone. In fact, it boasts 10 different motion controls, allowing you to easily pick the moves that fit your game. Let’s say you’re in a racing game, swivel the phone to steer. Or push the phone away from you to accelerate.
Furthermore, the gaming phone uses Rear Touch technology with hidden sensors on the back of the device. These provide you with L2/R2-like trigger functions—similar to a gaming controller. And these functions work with ultrasonic sensors to put you in full control. Plus, similar to the original ROG phone, it includes ultrasonic side sensors to support your favorite gestures. This new way of gaming makes the experience more immersive—like you’re never seen before.
Capture moments with a triple-camera system
Although the latest ASUS phone has an emphasis on gaming, you can use it to capture moments, too. Equipped with a triple-camera system and a Sony IMX686 64 MP main wide-angle camera. The remaining cameras are 13 MP and a front-facing 24 MP. These specifications are great for taking group selfies or live-streaming videos.
Moreover, the software features include a Pro Video Mode, Wind Filter, Acoustic Focus functions, and Free Zoom to take your footage to the next level.
The Phone 5 Ultimate launches in May and costs $1,549.25. Stay tuned for further updates on ASUS’ official website. Is this something you’ll buy? Let us know your feedback in the comments.
